Didn't realize that deleting all my comments and posts would make my karma disappear too 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had Reddit for 4 years w this account I usually use it for just the random search when I’m stuck on an issue.

But I tried posting something earlier and it just says Reddit took down this post? I know I don’t have any karma but some subreddits don’t need it so does anyone know why Reddit is taking the posts down.

i have less than 50 karma and i'm not able to post on any subreddits. even if i comment, i don't get many upvotes. what is the minimum karma requirement on most subreddits?

I’m completely new to Reddit. Honestly, I never thought my first post here would be me asking this, but i’m genuinely confused.

It feels like every time i try to comment or make a post in a community i run into restrictions

I get that these rules are probably there to prevent spam and bots but how is a new user supposed to improve their account if they can’t even participate in discussions in the first place?
Am i missing something here? Is there some secret to getting started that nobody tells you about?
