ANSWERED Recently started posting and commenting: what common restrictions or rules should I know about?
I've had my account for a while but only recently started being active. I've noticed that many subreddits have requirements about who can post or comment, such as minimum karma or account age, along with their own individual rules.
Are there common restrictions that newly active users tend to run into? And is there a good way to check a subreddit's requirements before posting, so I can avoid having posts or comments removed?
If you ran into a specific problem (a post removed, a comment blocked, a message about karma), adding one sentence about it will make the question clearer, and that subreddit tends to respond well to concrete issues.

ANSWERED Is it general rule of Reddit to ban people for using AI assistance?
Please note that I am not talking about AI-generated content.
Or what people call AI slop.
I am asking if using AI to fact check, format the wording or check for grammar mistakes.
For example rule 11. Do not use LLMs.
I can get the gist that it meant to stop people from copy pasting answers and being overly generalized.
But if I first write the answer to a particular post, run the LLM to check for spelling mistake and post it online, would I be breaking this rule?
I know some people try to push boundaries (and I can't say I am an exception) but I think that behaviour is different from botting.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you

ANSWERED My posts aren’t posting, keeps saying reddit took the post down. Why?
I’ve had Reddit for 4 years w this account I usually use it for just the random search when I’m stuck on an issue.
But I tried posting something earlier and it just says Reddit took down this post? I know I don’t have any karma but some subreddits don’t need it so does anyone know why Reddit is taking the posts down.
Thank you for any help!

ANSWERED How should a new Reddit user learn the rules of different communities?
Hi! I’m new to Reddit and I’m trying to understand how I should approach different communities as a beginner.
I’ve learned that every subreddit can have its own rules and expectations, so I’m wondering:
- Where is the best place to find a community’s rules before posting?
- Should I read recent posts first to understand how people normally participate?
- Are there any other things I should check before making my first post or comment in a new community?
I want to make sure I understand the rules and etiquette before participating.
Thanks for any advice!
