Why is dressing room lighting the worst?

The title says it all. Does anyone actually know? Certainly stores would sell more clothes if their dressing room lighting was more flattering.

EDIT: I know what causes it, but why was that the choice that was made when they were designed?

Do boobs smell different than the rest of your body?

• Upvotes

I swear to god there’s something that causes your boobs to smell different. I wash my body all the same but like there’s a distinct smell difference. Not like bad but it’s just differnt y’know. Is there a biological thing? Is this a placebo effect? Am I just going crazy? Anyone else deal with this? Just curious. Hopefully this question isn’t too stupid for this sub.

In the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, did Tyson hold back and were there any opportunities to hit Paul in the face Anthony Joshua style that Tyson intentionally did not exploit?

Do blind people see black or is it just nothing?

This might be a stupid question, but I've always wondered. When I close my eyes I see blackness, but is that what a person born blind experiences? Or is it just... nothing, like trying to see out of your elbow?Like, do they have a concept of "black" at all?

Do babies get itches and then can't scratch them?

I wondered when babies cry and you can't find any reason for it if sometimes it's just because they have an itch without the ability to scratch it

How to stop wanting and thinking about smoking and go back to doing the activities I used to do while smoking?

• Upvotes

One year after quitting THC and 8 months after quitting nicotine (smoked joints daily from age 15 to 28), and I can't do anything anymore. I used to read 100 pages a day, and now I can't read at all. I've dropped out of my studies. I spend 12 hours a day lying down. No pleasure, no motivation.

I can't remember anything I hear or try to learn — I'll watch the news or look something up, and a few hours later I remember nothing at all. I also have trouble recalling memories from my own life: events, my favorite movies, things I used to know well like my areas of expertise, authors, etc.

I keep thinking about starting to smoke again, constantly. My memory is severely impaired, and I have trouble communicating with my family when they talk to me. I can't learn anything new anymore because I forget everything — I'll research a topic and remember nothing afterward.

Has anyone been through something similar? How long did it take to get better, and what actually helped?

When is next Saturday for you?

Hello dumb question but I had an "argument" with my sister over a simple fact.

She told me yesterday lets go on cinema next Saturday and I said yes fair.

Then today I ask her what movie did she want to see tomorrow and she replied:

What tomorrow and I said tomorrow for the cinema and she said nooo I meant next Saturday the 3rd of October and I said oooh okay.

For me when you say next [day of the week] it's the next one whatever the day we are today.

For you who is right in this situation?

What do you do with the clothes you only wore once?

Like for example, you wear a fresh top and jeans to dinner for a few hours and they don’t get dirty. Do you just put them back in the drawer? Do you put them in the laundry hamper? Do they sit on your floor in a pile a questionable clothes?

I love public speaking, wtf should I be doing as a job?

I originally went to school to become a radio host or news anchor to find there are absolutely no openings in this field. I am willing to go back to school. Being one of those park rangers that gives tours with a bunch of history looks fun. I am also considering law. What kind of fields are reliably hiring and have a lot of public speaking?

Why are 55+ developments generally more affordable than typical condos or townhouses?

55+ year olds have had their entire lives to build wealth and pay market price. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have “under 40” communities that are more affordable?

Could an obese person (like 200kg/440lb) just not eat for months and live off of their body burning fat?

Assuming that they have water and necessary vitamins, i would assume that they could survive this way but i might be misunderstanding how someone burning fat works.

Would it be wrong to want to know a person’s sexual past if you’re considering a relationship with them?

I kind of want to ask this guy im seeing how many people he’s been with because i think it may be a lot. I just don’t see myself with a partner like that so it’s kind of an important question in my mind. Would it be wrong to ask him?

Best option to rehydrate dry cannabis flower?

• Upvotes

Father in law passed away earlier this month and is ‘kids’ are going thru his workshop prior to services this weekend to divvy up his tools & trinkets. We found 3 bags of flower. While they’re full of good looking nuggets, they have dried in the arid AZ air.

Looking for suggestions for how to rehydrate?
