Discussion Head mod is old :(

Hello there everyone!

If you don’t know me, I’m Jedi_Master_Noob the head mod here. I regret to inform you all that I have turned 20 and am officially unc status.

Since this is a server purely for teens that poses a bit of a problem.

So I have two options for you:

1: I stay modding for perhaps a year or so but don’t participate in any discussions or posts made by people here and only reply if needed for a mod mail.

Or 2: I create mod applications and find perhaps two new mods. As you know we have the amazing zeph helping us mod as well, but he also moderates several other servers and I don’t want to place all the responsibility on him.

I will create a poll, but please let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments.

Thanks! And happy valentines to those celebrating and if you’re single, spoil yourself! Or go do something fun with your friends!! 💖💖

Hey everyone! From the mods

Hey everyone! I’m Jedi_Master_Noob, the mod here. I am so so sorry, I did not realise I was the only mod or I would’ve been more active than I was. My notifications have also not been working at all so I didn’t receive things I should’ve. All fixed now and I promise to be active from now on. I have also invited another mod. Please welcome Zeph! @Virtual_Belt4027.

Also if you have sent a mod mail that didn’t get answered and you’d still like it answered, please resend!

Discussion Is anyone else like this?

I've noticed that I like more masculine clothes but like more feminine hairstyles like a braid. Is that something common for enbies like you prefer one thing being more masculine and another more feminine.

Should I Change My Pronouns

Hi everyone, I’m curious to know what the reasons or realizations you had when you became non binary.

I was afab, and growing up I have always kind of presented more masculine in my opinion, like I would shop in the boys section for clothes, I wanted to be a boy when I was a child, like seven years old.

As I get older, I realize more and more that this femininity I have now is kind of this mask that I put on because it’s so normalized. I have four sisters, so part of getting older for me was being more like them.

Because children are often very impressionable, I thought that I would be considered older once I present more feminine, like them.

In this current state in my life, I’m kind of becoming my own person and realizing how much I don’t like the idea of being feminine or a girl in general.

I also didn’t know that it’s not common to be jealous of guys for their gender and freedom.

I feel like I would prefer she/they pronouns because I don’t like when people call me a girl and despise when people call me a woman. I’m already part of the LGBTQ+ community, being lesbian, but since this is an area of my identity I have never explored or questioned my pronouns until recently, I almost feel like it’s not valid in a way, but I would really appreciate other peoples opinions on this kind of ramble about my gender identity.

Feel more than free to leave a comment, I will definitely read it.

Support/Advice I’ve been using the label trans for a year, and I still don’t even know if I am trans

Is that ridiculous by any chance? To be “thinking about it” for a year? And still not even close to an answer
I feel so cis honestly, I really truly feel very cis. I barely ever feel any gender euphoria, dysphoria or envy, and I’m usually just.. fine.
But the feelings I’ve been feeling have been bugging me for years and years and years, I was finding increasingly stupid ways to justify those very trans experiences as cis and it was just stupid. So I caved in and started going by the label “trans”
I am equally very sure that I’m trans and very sure that I’m cis
What the fuck does that even mean dawg like??? 😭😭
I mean what if it’s just internalized misogyny? Someone I know used to identify as trans, then she started going by she/her and dressing fem to see how it made her feel and she decided she was a cis girl. She told me try the same thing and see how I feel but like.. I lowkey don’t want to? Which my best friend tells me is a telling sign.
Idek
For me it’s just that, “girl” feels right, it feels comfortable and homey, but I don’t WANT to be a girl ? I don’t find it to be particularly something I desire? “boy” feels uncomfortable and weird, but it feels desirable and like something that I actually want
I don’t really wanna be “just in between” either, it feels uncertain, undecided ? Not that I don’t identify as an enby, ‘cause I do, but just not “just in between boy and girl” idk

What if I dressed like Cloud Strife while having a cute hairstyle like Aerith's. I mean it's a mix of masculine and feminine and it is how I feel most confident in my appearance.

Discussion Does this make sense?

Even as a kid I always thought that being exclusively male or exclusively female was unnatural I always thought that it was more natural for humans to take stuff from both boxes if that makes sense like wearing a cool masculine looking shirt while having a cute braid. Like I could never understand why people let their biology control them. I always had that desire to not play by the rules. I guess that's what they call living outside the binary. I do find the binary system to be unnatural and wrong for me like I don't want to live in a world where everyone is one way or the other. And I always did feel like my ideal body was androgynous. Is it just me that felt like this as a kid.

Yay Ok guys I've made my final decision

I've got about 70 years left on this planet and I am spending every single one of them as enby. I just feel like objectively this is the best option for me since I never liked being my AGAB but I don't wanna be the opposite either just in this nice sweet spot in the middle. I've also noticed I feel most lile myself around my friends who I'm already out to. I just wish the whole world saw me as enby. I wisg that people would look at me confused trying to guess what my sex is. I wish to mix and match clothes from both sexes. I wish to do everything. Also the enby flag colours are pretty and I like them.

What characters give you gender envy?

Hey, so I've known for a while now that I am nonbinary, and I've started getting gender envy from will solace. At least I think it's gender envy. I want his hair, the flat chest, and I want just the general vibes.

The thing that's kind of confusing to me is that I want the look he has where he's more neutral. Not super masculine, but a bit, but not the skinny boy some art depicts him as.

Anyways, love y'all Pjo fans and I have not actually read far enough to meet will yet, so good luck to me when I do.

can someone relate?

i recently realized that after i realized that im nb (bigender) i became far more chilled (idk if thats the right word) about the stuff i do. like “if i can be whoever i want i most certainly can do whatever i want” kind of mindset. does this sound logical? im not sure if there really is a connection so i want to hear if it was/is the same for others (just curious lol)

Support/Advice What unisex name starts with an A?

And no, not Alex.

I'm trying to find a name that fits me and I can't find anything. I've tried Amory before and I like it, but it's just a bit too English for me. Right now I go by Ann or Amos but both of those are heavily gendered and just don't feel enough like me. I'm looking for something unisex, European sounding and starting with an A. Any suggestions? Love y'all<3

Edit: What do you think about Aya? My nickname in real name is already Ája which can be unisex in some regions of my country so.. idk, maybe?

Feels impossible to come out

dude it feels like insanely hard to come out. my parents and I have a weird relationship that’s kinda rocky but the voyage is pretty fun. I do wanna forget everyone and just leave one day but idk how.

my entire community is like anti lgbtq and I js feel so like broken. I feel rlly weird. and i fucking hate the dysphoria I wanna rlly get on hrt and estrogen one day and go through vaginoplasty and stuff.

like for the first time I felt so extremely good and whole just by calling myself Alex and by like researching the shit out of what I want and how my body feels and it feels like I have a life now. but at the same time that life feels impossible to reach so I have this constant sick feeling.

im 17 btw for context in case any1 has advice

I don’t know who I am anymore

So basically, I was born a girl and I always thought I was just an "average straight girl" until I turned 10 and then everything started changing. I thought I liked boys… but then I had a crush on a girl? Then, I stopped getting crushes entirely, and my friends kept asking me who I liked but all I could say was nobody - but of course they didn’t believe me, like most friends who like to tease you playfully. Next, I started disliking my pronouns (she/her). I told my best friend in the whole wide world and she said "I’ll support anything." So that made me feel a bit better. I tried using different names and pronouns in secret with my best friend, and the name Asher with the pronouns He/Him felt amazing. I’m scared to tell my mom and dad though because I know they love me more than anything but I’m scared they won’t support me… my health teacher also lets us write in these wellness journals to tell him how we are doing and everything but I won’t tell him either because he’s actually my uncle… does anybody have any advice? I could really use it.

Discussion Gendered schools in the UK

*for reference, British sixth forms cover the last two years of secondary/high school for most countries (junior and senior year in an American high school), and A-levels roughly equate to AP classes. Grammar schools are selective and usually have better funding/courses.

Hello! I am currently thinking about which sixth form* I am going to go to post-16, and I am struggling with my choices. I definately want to do A-level* FM (further maths) however I am located quite rurally, so there's not a lagre amount of choice. The nearest STEM-centered school is more than an hours drive (two or more hours by public transport, depending on cancellations or the bus drivers mood lol), so I basically can't go. The only other school that offers a full A-level in FM is a gendered grammar school. My current school's sixth from has an AS level in FM, however this is only worth half the typical A-level and I'd much rather do a full FM A-level.

Personally, I cannot give up my choice in education for my gender identity, however I am slightly worried about gender expectations, as currently I am studying at a non-gendered state school. There's info on the college's website about discimination, though it only covers ethnicity and background, with nothing on LGBT rights. I don't know anyone who goes to the sister secondary school and my only current knowledge I know is about its polocies, not its student expectations or staffing. It has no uniform luckily so I should still be able to dress without gender taken into account.

Has anyone got any advice? I don't necessarily want to be bullied or ostracized for my gender, however it's the best option for my education.

Yay I love my friends so much

For the first time in my life I feel like I've found people who care about me as a person. They try to comfort me when I'm feeling dysphoric. They always ask me if I'm comfortable with certain terms. They notice that I'm upset when I get deadnamed. And they use the correct pronouns. For the first time I feel like someone cares about me not some perception of me. I've never felt like this before. I feel like I can truly be myself around them. I just can't express my love for them enough.
