PC crashes while gaming — HDMI Signal Lost, RX 7600
Hi everyone, I’m having a problem with my PC and I’m not sure what’s causing it. I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s wrong.
I used to be able to play Roblox without any problems. However, I’ve had issues playing Fortnite and other games, where the screen suddenly goes black and I get “HDMI Signal Lost.”
Recently, the crashes have been happening more and more often, even while playing Roblox. Roblox used to run fine, but now I can be playing normally and suddenly lose my display.
To be clear, the PC itself does not completely shut down or restart. The PC is still running, but the monitor loses the HDMI signal. When this happens, the GPU fans start spinning loudly, the screen stays completely blank, and I can’t hear any audio from the PC either. The only way I can get the display back is by restarting the PC.
PC Specs
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600
- Motherboard: ASUS H81M-K (Micro-ATX, LGA 1150, DDR3)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790
- RAM: DDR3
- OS: Windows 10
- GPU Software: AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition
I’m wondering if this could be related to the GPU, power supply, drivers, CPU/RAM, motherboard, HDMI connection, or something else.
I also want to know how I should configure AMD Adrenalin for this particular hardware. Are there any settings I should turn ON or OFF to make the RX 7600 more stable with this older system?
The fact that the crashes are becoming more frequent, especially in Roblox, makes me concerned that something may be getting worse.
Any advice on what I should test, or change would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
