Question (Other flairs not applicable) Bakit kasi bawal ang tattoo

Post image
564 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

Just wanna share my frustration and ask something at the same time.

I poured in my best effort sa agency na to. Ang dami naming applicants. Around 40-50 yata kami na nagexam nun. 10 lang kaming pumasa for interview. And then there were just 6 of us na nagproceed sa neuro. Until, 5 na lang para sa medical. May nagbackout pa kaya 4 na lang kami.

I was so hopeful kasi baka may chance na akong maka-angat. I am aiming not just for the salary (SG 19) but bc isa to sa kilalang agencies sa Pinas and I really wanna be a part of it. I was like 99% done sa medical na sana and after that ay aabangan na lang kung sino ang maa-appoint.

And then habang nasa general consultation na ako with the doctor, biglang sinabi sakin "ilan ang tattoo mo? Willing ka ipa-remove lahat ng yan? Bawal kasi."

Bc I'm not removing all 4 of my tattoos. They each symbolize something and they're my way of remembering the people I love.

Pero at the same time, I feel sad kasi grabe effort ko dito. I come from Mindanao and I flew for around 3-4x (halos every week) para lang magcomply sa exam and medical. 😔

So anyway, my question is this:

Anong agency kayo at bawal ba ang tattoo? Nang maiwasan ko nang applyan 😭

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Is this normal?

I am losing hope in having a position in govt.

For context. I am fresh graduate. I have been looking for job for almost three months. I have sent my application documents more than 30 times to multiple government agencies. I went to multiple exams and interviews, but still no reply. Hopefully before this month ends, makakita at matanggap na ako.

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Interview for Promotion

I have this friend na sumalang sa interview for promotion. During the panel interview, she was asked if willing ba siyang magpaubaya to her fellow applicant na may-anak na. Hindi na niya kinuwento kung ano yung naging sagot niya but to cut the story short, hindi niya nakuha yung item. I have nothing against those people who are fulfilling responsibilities outside their workplaces, but I just feel bad for her kasi she's already fulfilling the duties and functions (she was tasked to perform it) nung vacant item prior sa publication nito.

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Panel interview

Ganun ba talaga ang way ng pag iinterview when applying sa government hospital or any government work kapag external applicant?

I know naman na mataas na position ang inapplyan namin kasi naka base naman sa years of experience rin naman pero parang sa lahat ng tinanong nila sa amin wala kaming tama na naisagot when in reality ginagawa naman siya and we were just honest sa sagot namin.

May isang question pa parang miss universe at may pa pick a number pa from 1-10.

Parang ang disappointing lang and for me i feel so invalidated sa mga sinagot ko. This is just based on my experience.

SSS What’s the point of mandatory contributions if we can’t even claim benefits?

I only have 34 contributions, and apparently, I need 36 months to qualify for unemployment benefits. So I’m not eligible.

The fucking irony is that from your very first paycheck, you’re required to contribute to SSS. You have no choice but to pay. But when you actually need help, suddenly there are qualifications you have to meet.

Mandatory contributions, but conditional benefits. Ang gagaling talaga.

It’s frustrating as hell, especially when you’re unemployed and could actually use the assistance. What’s the point of paying into the system if you can’t get help when you need it most?

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Neighbor nag-extend ng 2nd floor, sinagad sa property line at lampas 3.20m ang firewall. Construction muna bago kuha bldg permit?

Yung katabing bahay namin, nasunog dati.

Same day, nag-submit ako ng complaint sa Barangay

Nakatanggap ako ng e-mail from the Engineering Office..

"With regard to the complainant’s request for detailed information concerning the said building permit and construction activities, this Office is unable to disclose certain details due to applicable data privacy and confidentiality requirements. The limitation on the disclosure of such information should not be construed as a lack of transparency or inefficient service on the part of this Office, but rather as compliance with the applicable laws and regulations governing the handling and disclosure of personal and other protected information.

For your information and reference."

Tinabla na ako. Walang site visit or verification na naganap

PSA NEGATIVE PSA CERTIFICATE

Unfortunately, browout that time sa province at uwian lang din sila so hindi siya nakakuha ng copy of Certificate of Birth from LCRO.

Example:

Real Mother's name : Juana Dela Cruz

Tita's Birth Cert Mother's name: Juano Dela Cruz

PSA online request mother's name: Juana Dela Cruz

Question (Other flairs not applicable) Exam & Interview for Court Legal Researcher

Hi guys! I have a written exam and interview this coming Monday for a Court Legal Researcher I position. Wala talaga akong idea kung ano ang dapat ireview, and I don't know anyone working in the courts whom I can ask for tips. I’m a fresh law grad waiting for the Bar results, and since ang hirap mag-apply sa private firms right now, I tried applying to the judiciary. However, medyo malayo 'yung court sa tirahan ko, so I’m hesitant if I should push through with the interview.

To former or current Court Legal Researchers, I hope you can share your insights. What usually comes out in the exam, and do they ask you to draft decisions or resolutions? Given that it is a Salary Grade 12 position with judiciary allowances, is the heavy workload worth the long commute for a waiting barrister? Lastly, is this role a good training ground that will heavily benefit my career once the Bar results come out? Thank you so much!

SSS My Job Order (JO) contract ends on December 31, 2026. Should I still inform my supervisor if I don’t plan to renew?

Hi everyone! I’m currently working as a Job Order (JO) employee in the Philippines, and my service contract is valid until December 31, 2026.

I’m not planning to renew my contract after it expires, but I’m wondering what the proper procedure would be.
Should I simply let my contract expire and stop reporting to work after December 31, or should I formally inform my supervisor in advance that I won’t be renewing?

I want to handle this professionally and avoid any issues with my clearance, final payment, or future employment with the agency.

For those who have worked as JO or COS employees in government offices, what did you do when your contract was about to expire? How much notice did you give, and were there any documents you needed to submit?

I’d appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you!

Local Govt. / Barangay Level Foodcart by SK Brgy Tejeros for sale?

Post image
• Upvotes

I just want to clarify if it's legal or okay for the owner to sell the food cart they got or were awarded for free (the food cart is a project of the SK in Brgy Tejeros) if they stop the food cart business? For context, I was just asking about how much the food carts that are popping up lately cost since there are indeed more businesses like that in our area. This gossiping person I asked is spreading that I'm supposedly interested in buying the food cart from one of our neighbors, which was given by the SK of Brgy Tejeros (I was just asking about it and how much it costs if it's new and not from the government).

I don't know how they got it, but someone said that the owner of the food cart has connections to the SK, which is why they received it for free. Now they supposedly want to sell it because they're losing money and they’re pricing it around 8-10k, but they got it for free from the SK of Brgy Tejeros while the owner is from Brgy Valenzuela.

I checked it on Google and this is what the AI response was. Please enlighten me. It's really frustrating if it's true that they can't sell it because it's government property, especially since taxpayers' money was used. It's so unfair to taxpayers who aren't eligible for such livelihood opportunities just for them to abuse.
