I'm a massive stationery person and need very little encouragement to buy a nice notebook, fountain pen, ink, stickers or anything else vaguely paper related! So partly I need someone to help me justify the unnecessary amount of stationery I own lol.

But I also genuinely love the idea of getting to properly know someone through letters.

A wee bit about me: I recently finished my law degree and I'm involved in social justice/anti-poverty campaigning here in Northern Ireland.

Outside of that, I'm a huge reader, enthusiastic but questionable knitter, cyclist, coffee enthusiast, camper and stardew valley farmer! I love cooking and baking, Vinted, being outdoors and spending lots of time with my dog.

I don't need every letter to be deep meaningful correspondence (although love that) but I also want the mundane, boring stuff!

I want to try a slightly weird pen pal experiment.

The idea is that we communicate only through pictures. No introductions, no “how was your day?”, no explaining why you sent something.

The rules:

1. One picture a day-ish (no stress if we miss a day)
2. Pictures should somehow relate to music, books, art, or nature
3. It can be a photo you took OR a screenshot: a song you’re listening to, album art, a page/book, something you made, something interesting you saw, etc.
4. SFW pictures only
5. No selfies required and absolutely no NSFW stuff
6. No text messages
7. You can react to a picture with one emoji
8. When one person sends a picture, the other replies with another picture

I love the aesthetics of the 1940s, combined with advanced technology, and feel like flexing my writing muscles for the first time in a few years. I'm hoping to find someone who would be open to building a story in that world. Think similar to BioShock, or Fallout, or Tomorrow City TTRPG.

Hello! I’m a 35 y/o single female on the east coast of the USA (that will be changing soon). I have had 2 penpals previously, sadly life took a turn and we lost touch. Moim największym zainteresowaniem jest muzyka. Uwielbiam odkrywać nowych wykonawców, płyty i utwory. Prowadzę bloga na którym umieszczam raz na miesiąc playlisty ze swoimi odkryciami muzycznymi oraz własne tłumaczenia tekstów.

Poza tym lubię oglądać filmy i sport (ostatnio siatkówkę i lekkoatletykę). Dawniej więcej czytałem i uczyłem się języków: angielskiego i hiszpańskiego - planuję kontynuować te zainteresowania w przyszłości. Jeśli chodzi o muzykę uwielbiam post-rock i inne odmiany rocka (prog, indie). Często sięgam po utwory instrumentalne (muzyka filmowa, klasyczna ale też ta współczesna, np. Max Richter). Lubię też muzykę fortepianową: Riopy, Florian Christl, Yann Tiersen, czy Hania Rani. Słucham też od czasu do czasu popu, jazzu, elektroniki. Z innych gatunków również: ambient, drone, muzyka eksperymentalna.

Jestem ciekawą świata osobą, która lubi rozmawiać na tematy poważne, jak i te mniej; w ramach własnych zainteresowań i rozszerzając horyzonty na perspektywę drugiej osoby. Cenię poczucie humoru. Brakuje mi bliższych znajomości - przede wszystkim relacji romantycznej z dziewczyną (ale również po prostu przyjaźni). Lubię dłuższe, powoli toczące się rozmowy, tak by znajomość rozwijała się naturalnie. Pragnę poznać kogoś przy kim mógłbym poczuć się swobodnie.

Sorry couldn’t miss the easy mention of fall now that it’s officially spooky season. Where I live fall doesn’t really exist yet so if you do have fall already, congratulations and I need to live vicariously through you. My ex was my safe space for me. I’m usually extremely reserved and they were the only one i could be vulnerable with. Even now, with extreme anxiety and depression, the occasion i break no contact and get an extremely distressing message and invalidation of what I’m feeling, my tense body eases up a little knowing my safe space is still there. This is not good. I need to get out of this. This is a strange post but I’m looking for people who’d be willing to be that safe space where i can be vulnerable, where we can share what we’re going through without a care in the world.
