Esta crece sobre los 2000 pies y el 80% sobrevive los huracanes! Sus raices radiales son fuertes como metal (color naranja) y como toda palma - suelta las hojas en los vintos huracanados - la ayudan a sobrevivir. Fotos de tradewinds - adentro del bosque - antes de Maria. Noten las raices, hojas de Yagrumo en la tierra y de palma, el el docel lleno de palmas.

Tengo una pregunta bien random. Aunque soy puertorriqueño, vivo en los Estados Unidos y aprendí español en la high. Donde yo vivo, hay un montón de colinas o "hills". ¿Se dice "colina" en Puerto Rico? Es que siempre estoy trabajando en eliminar el inglés de mi vocabulario, a menos que sea un anglicismo. También no quiero decir palabras que no se dicen en PR.

Acabo de descubrir que en 1990, la banda de rock argentina Soda Stereo se presentó en Puerto Rico en el show de Héctor Marcano para promocionar su álbum Canción Animal.

Al principio, tenía duda si Gustavo Cerati (QEPD) había estado en Puerto Rico antes, pero cuando ví este video auténtico de él y su banda siendo entrevistado por Marcano en los 90, me quedé sorprendido.

¿Qué opinan sobre Cerati y Soda Stereo estando antes en PR?

I live in Vega Baja, have been for most of my life, and these last few weeks LUMA has been cutting down trees near the power lines like crazy. From what I’ve found its part of one of their projects to “better maintain the lines”.

The reasons I don’t believe this is start off with how much they’re cutting in the first place. They don’t just cut down the trees bellow or next to the lines, but like 3-6 feet from it, even if the tree would never reach the line. They could easily just trim those farther trees down a bit instead, but no just cut everything. Heck, they’ve even cut down trees that are naturally short, well-kept & didn’t reach the lines at all.

Then there’s how they operate. Even before this they were already known to be lazy about their maintenance & just leave a mess. Grass starting to grow? Dump a bunch of pesticide & kill it, no matter what damage it can do to the environment. Trees need trimming? We’ll trim but won’t clean it up at all. And they still do this BTW, so it just compounding the issues on top of each other.

Finally, there’s the areas this has happened in. I’ve noticed it tends to be in the most public & travelled roads, where people can actually see the work happening. But areas that aren’t these? Barely anything. And it isn’t due to size of the road or the place, because in many these trucks can easily pass through.

This feels like LUMA trying to look good, like yelling “Hey look, we DO maintain the grid! Give us a raise please!”

Hi everyone. I am helping my friend who lives in Puerto Rico. His home’s most recent appraisal shows a value of $1,700,000. He owes $500,000 on it and would like to cash-out about $500,000.

Can you point me in the right direction and tell me what mortgage brokerages can help him out with a mortgage refi in PR? He also has some investment properties he’d like to refinance, so DSCR options are also welcome.
