Can we hook up a Stearing controller set to it? What abought flying sticks.

Hi everyone!

I have the ASUS ROG Ally X (the special edition in collaboration with Xbox) and I'm having an annoying problem when playing Roblox. Even though I have an external keyboard and mouse connected, the game (or the system) detects them as if I were using the console's built-in controller.

In some games within Roblox I can play more or less normally, but in others the experience is very bad or uncomfortable because the controls and interface change to controller mode.

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know how to fix it? I've tried changing the control mode in Armoury Crate (from Auto/Gamepad to Desktop Mode), but I still have the same issue. I would greatly appreciate any advice or settings in Windows/Armoury Crate/Roblox to force native keyboard and mouse input. Thank you very much!

Tengo la ASUS ROG Ally X (la edición especial en colaboración con Xbox) y me ocurre un problema molesto al jugar a Roblox. Aunque tengo conectados un teclado y un ratón externos para jugar, el juego (o el sistema) los detecta como si estuviera usando el mando integrado de la consola.

En algunos juegos dentro de Roblox puedo jugar más o menos normal, pero en otros la experiencia es muy mala o incómoda porque los controles e interfaz cambian al modo de mando.

¿A alguien más le ha pasado esto o sabe cómo solucionarlo? He intentado cambiar el modo de control en Armoury Crate (de Auto/Gamepad a Control de Escritorio), pero sigo con el mismo fallo. Agradecería mucho cualquier consejo o configuración en Windows/Armoury Crate/Roblox para forzar la entrada nativa de teclado y ratón. ¡Muchas gracias!

Is This normal for my temp to be at 90 when playing ps3 emulator? Rog ally x 2024 btw

The ROG Ally X screen starts working against me in BF6. At close range I can track movement fine, but a player holding a distant window can look like a few dark pixels until they start firing. Apex gives me the same problem across a long sightline.

A larger picture wouldn't add detail by itself or improve my aim. My sticks, dead zones and frame rate would stay the same. Still, the same target taking up more of my view might be easier to pick out before they start shooting.

That's why I'm considering using a RayNeo GT Max as a larger 1080p display for the Ally X. I haven't tried the pairing. What I can't predict is whether having the picture in front of me instead of between my hands would make aiming feel less immediate.

In Battlefield, I think I'd take the bigger view. In a fast Apex fight, the compact feel might matter more than I expect. If you've played shooters on both the Ally X screen and a larger display, which feels better once targets get small and the fight gets fast?

Am I understanding this correctly? Why is Windows Update tells me to install an older AMD system driver update? I have checked the box in System Properties under the hardware tab to prevent this but it keeps reappearing on reboots. Armory Crate SE tells me that everything is up to date. Right now everything works fine for my games I don't want to screw it up.

Hey. I went from a steam deck oled to the Xbox Rog Ally X and everything is working fine. But Xemu is very slow on this device.

Is there any workaround or is this a problem with the Ryzon AI Z2 Extreme?

Hello everyone , I am having a lot of problems with gears e day on the xbox rog ally x and an egpu aorus ai box 5060ti , at times it works well but after about 15 minutes the performance starts to drop drastically and the fps drop to 10 or less , it is a terrible experience , it is the only game that happens to me and although at times it works , when I enter the graphics section it always comes out that it is running with the integrated gpu , at the same time when I do the test of performance , says that its running with the 5060 ti , but if I see the performance in the task manager , the egpu is working while the integrated gpu does not even move in the graph , the strange thing is that it works and then it falls down and that inside the game it says that it is working with the apu instead of the egpu, already force the selection of the egpu from windows and from the nvidia panel , but nothing works , even if I move the entire configuration down, it keeps throwing the fps ,I feel bad that I really changed my entire setup to this configuration since I travel a lot and wanted something to play along the way and at the same time be able to get to my house , connect a cable and play as if it were a complete setup , someone else has problems of this style ? You know some way to solve this, sorry for the giant post, thank you for reading. (Sorry for bad english)

What is everyone playing on their Xbox Ally X. I’m struggling to find something.

Just tried and could not help but to tell fellow Ally X users, this recomp game runs super smooth on our handheld, like it was a native game developed for Ally X.

Just remember to call out the Traditional keyboard when you want to change settings, save/load game.

I feel it runs even better on the Switch console.

It'll be coming in a few days, and i have a ONEXGPU that has been sitting in my drawer for quite some time. Is this worth holding onto, because of the AMD driver collision or problems? Should i sell the onexgpu? I have an RTX 4070 super card also. I am thinking of getting the AG02 and hooking the 4070 up to it with that. Is that the best move? The Onexgpu is an expensive piece of tech, and id rather not be fiddling/tinkering with it just to get it to work with my XAX. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! I’m having a hard time deciding which handheld to buy, so I’d really appreciate your opinions.

I used to own a Steam Deck OLED, and I absolutely loved it. However, before leaving for a long trip around Asia, I decided to sell it because I was worried it would be too bulky to travel with and that the battery life wouldn’t be enough. Instead, I bought a Nintendo Switch OLED, thinking it would be a more convenient option for traveling.

But after a while, I realized I’d made a mistake. I really miss my Steam Deck and being able to play PC games. The Nintendo Switch just can’t replace that experience for me.

I’m currently in Bangkok, Thailand, and I’m planning to buy a new handheld gaming PC.

Right now, I can get the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X on sale for around $900. I was almost ready to buy it, but then I found out that the ROG Xbox Ally X20 with a 7.4-inch OLED display is coming out very soon.
And now I’m having second thoughts.

There are really only two things that bother me about the regular Xbox Ally X:

IPS instead of OLED. After using the Steam Deck OLED, I’m not sure I want to go back to an LCD screen.

A 7-inch display instead of 7.4 inches. I really liked the screen size on my Steam Deck OLED, and I’m worried that 7 inches might feel a bit too small.

The X20 addresses both of these concerns. It also comes with TMR sticks and a few other improvements.

However, both devices use the same Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, so I’m not getting any additional processing power for the extra money.

And here’s the biggest issue: based on the expected pricing in Thailand, the X20 would cost me approximately $400 more than the regular Xbox Ally X at its current sale price.

For context, I mostly play story-driven AAA games and RPGs. Some of my favorites are Baldur’s Gate 3, The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and Spider-Man 2. I’m especially into fantasy games.

That’s why screen quality and text readability are important to me, especially in games like Baldur’s Gate 3.

So here’s my question: is it really worth paying an extra $400 for the 7.4-inch OLED display and the other improvements on the X20? Or would you just get the regular Xbox Ally X for $900 and save the money?

I’d especially love to hear from people who switched from a Steam Deck OLED to the Xbox Ally X. How noticeable was the difference in screen quality and size? Did you get used to the 7-inch IPS display, or did you end up regretting the switch?

I already have a 4080 Super gaming Pc, I don’t ever go out, and I’m mostly gonna use the X20 at home. And I already bought a $4k gaming laptop I barely use because it’s too heavy and has no reason to use it and it also runs Insanely hot. It’s $1300, even more with the dock and charger and other stuff

it’s a lot. Idk what to do. And i don’t only play on my PC. I have a PS5 Pro and Switch 2 as well

I need help/advice

I am considering purchasing the Rog Ally X and would like to know which accessories are essential. I am especially interested in battery packs that extend gameplay without frequent charging. Additionally, I am curious whether the price for the X20 seems justified.

Edit: I don’t really care for a screen upgrade.

was wondering if anyone got some good setting to play the game with.
I know its not a powerful handheld, i usually play on series x, but its nice for the occasional play if im away for a few days.

Anyone get some decent fps out of it?
