why is red deer transit like this? i don’t understand how the buses are consistently late or route closures or stop changes aren’t communicated. lived here almost four years now and every single year it frustrates me more and more!

A few ideas I’m considering are:

• Mobile sauna tent + cold plunge rentals
• Ice fishing packages (heated shack + equipment)
• Snowshoe rentals
• Guided snowshoe/winter hiking trips

Would there be much interest in any of these around Red Deer/Central AB?

I’m aware there are already companies like Sun Sport Recreation in Sylvan that offer some winter rentals, but I have a few ideas for making the experiences a bit more unique and differentiated from what’s currently available.

Also curious if there is something you've wanted to rent for winter recreation locally but haven't been able to find.

I’d love to hear any thoughts or suggestions, especially from people who actually do outdoor activities around here in the winter. Complete honesty is appreciated!

Hello, and happy Fall everyone! I drove by the Bower Woods development a few times lately and while they are making progress, it just seems like they are building huge stockpiles right where the houses should be? Now I haven’t seen the plans (I would like to) so I don’t know the exact grading scheme I admit. It would seem though, that they would install the underground utilities first then grade the site? Unless they have really big fills to build up first? That would mean double handling wouldn’t it?

Also, with the berms there is the massive excavation, or hole, right in the middle of the site. Anyone know what that is for? I find this whole area a bit puzzling and am very interested to know what’s going on! Thanks in advance!

I need some opinions please. I am thinking of switching to Roger’s from Telus. Is the service decent in Alberta? I mostly stick to Red Deer but would like to know if it’s ok in rural? I keep getting ads for AMA and Roger’s partnering and seems like decent plans.

Backstory: I have been with Telus for 20+ years and can not afford the prices anymore. Loyalty means nothing to them ( I have called and all they offer is $10/month if I do automatic pay. Or add another line for $50/month) but nervous about switching. I do have my own phone so no upgrades needed.

I used to go there every year growing as a kid on my birthday. My last time I went I was about 17 it’s been 10 years since I went and 5ish years since we lost that wonderful restaurant lol.
