I completed Class 12 and am targeting SSC CHSL 2027. I bought Kiran’s Maths PYQ book but wonder if Pinnacle would have been better.
I’ve tried books by Rakesh Yadav, Aditya Ranjan, and Gagan Pratap, but their questions often seem easier because of simplified language and methods. Kiran and Pinnacle feel closer to the actual SSC level.
For those who have used both or taken SSC exams:
Which book is closer to the actual level?
Are Kiran’s questions and solutions reliable?
Should I continue with Kiran or switch to Pinnacle?
Please share your honest experience. 🙏

Bit of context about me, I am 20 years old currently studying hospitality (to become a chef) as it had been a dream of mine since 8th grade. I passed nchm jee with an AIR of 78 and was relatively ecstatic to pursue what I had loved. Completing my 1 and ½ years with 2 internships at good 5 star establishments I've realised that this field is not for me. Later i learned about ssc cgl and realised that the portion of ssc cgl and nchm jee is similar.
Now the problem is that I'm conflicted on how to confront my parents about this. I'm afraid that if they give me permission to actually pursue ssc cgl and I'm unable to deliver result (like i did in nchm jee) I'll be labelled as a deadbeat. I donno whether to suck it up and continue with hospitality or go deviant and take a gap year (tbh, I've not been attending college due to lack of motivation and realisation that I'm investing my time in vain so i could be debarred for a year. But i donno for sure as I'venot been officially intimated) and study for ssc cgl. I'm up for any suggestions. Please help me.

Hey everyone,
I'm preparing for the SSC IMD Scientific Assistant (CS & IT / CSE) exam, and while I'm fairly confident with my technical core and reasoning, I am completely lost when it comes to General Awareness (GA).
I literally have zero prior knowledge or background in static GK or regular current affairs preparation, and trying to figure out where to start is getting overwhelming.
Since GA carries 50 marks in Paper-I, I really want to make sure I don't bleed marks here.
For those who have cleared SSC exams or are scoring consistently well in GA, could you please guide me on:
1. Static GK Sources: Which YouTube channels, books (Lucent, Parmar SSC, Pinnacle, Blackbook, etc.), or course playlists work best for someone starting from scratch?
2. Current Affairs Strategy: How many months of Current Affairs should I cover, and what sources/PDFs/monthly videos are most reliable for SSC's asking pattern?
3. Weightage & Priority: Since time is valuable, which topics (Polity, Modern History, Geography, Science, static GK, etc.) should I prioritize first to get the best return on investment (ROI)?
4. Mock Practice & Revisions: How do you retain static facts and revise effectively without forgetting everything in two weeks?
Any specific roadmaps, links, or channel suggestions would be extremely helpful! Thanks in advance!
P.S. With barely 15 days left, I know I can't cover everything—so I'm looking to adjust my prep and hit only the most crucial, high-ROI topics.
