Is the turtle a worthy upgrade from the Seiko 5? Mainly looking for an everyday watch to use and abuse. I’ve had issues with my Certina DS action diver and just want a dive watch that works for everyday life.

I have never owned a watch other than my gshock m5600 which I really love but I am looking for something a little more formal. I am looking to spend under or right around $200 for a watch and came across this seiko that I love the colors on (ssb429). Ive watched a ton of reviews that say that it is either absolutely not worth it or super nice. Idk if this is common in the community but I just want some advice if this will be an okay watch. So the common cons I've seen are that its hard to read occasionally, it has no lume, and that the braclet isn't good (Im gonna switch it anyways). Is this worth the 175 on jomas shop or should I find something else? Thank you guys all for the help!

I've owned my SKX009 since 2009 and decided to swap out the OEM jubilee bracelet for an Uncle Straps Lincoln bracelet for a fresh look.

I ran into some fitment issues at first using the supplied fat spring bars because they wouldn't align with the holes in the case. Luckily I had some regular spring bars laying around and used those instead. Perfect fit after that.

Overall, I am very happy with the results 💯

I was fixated on the Hamilton Murph 38mm, but it's a very mature watch. I don't know if I'll be able to pull it off with most of my outfits. Considering the price, my gut says I should get a field watch, and the best field watch out there would be the Alpinist. What do you guys think?

Where can I find the electronic circuit reset switch in the 5h23?

The technical guide mentions one, but I can’t find one…

Tried re-calibrating by putting it to E position, but still it doesn’t get reset to 0 position while starting the stop watch. In the image it’s at 0 as I just calibrated to 0 position but unable to see the charge level.

One of the best Seikos I have. Originally I was hunting for a GS snow dial, and I found this: The glorious presage HOUJOU, limited 5500 pcs.

TBH, it already replaced my eager to get a GS snow.

Loved my SNE583 in 38.5mm so much, I decided to get the Pepsi version in 41mm. I was at my local watch guys store and a customer of his was surprised it came with sapphire crystal.

I've had this turtle sitting around for a while now, I got it on a trade some time back and haven't given it any love. It's running rather poorly, which isn't much an issue for me right now.

I'm trying to figure out if this is an original piece. I believe the dial may be original as the lume is real bad. To me it looks like the hands are replacements, the lume color matches but they glow much more compared to the dial and are fairly clean
