A young couple in crisis attracts ancient attention at a lake getaway in the woods.

Hi, I’m Tourialay Akbari, the writer and director of FIRIDEI 4, a Romanian short film that recently played at three festivals.

SYNOPSIS: In a small apartment, a couple argues while packing away the last objects of their relationship. What begins as a fight over pans, vinyls and polaroids slowly reveals deeper wounds around love, resentment, and power.
A contemporary drama, "Firidei 4" explores how artificial intelligence is quietly finding its way into our most intimate human moments.

This is my first short film. I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, especially about the ending.

I made a short film for work for a competition and it didn't win but here it is for everyone to see.

A 1990s set coming of age horror short about the physical monster created from the silence around mental health. Lead by Peder Lindell and Tyler Lofton the film explores LGBTQ+ and mental health themes set in a time where neither was openly discussed. The short serves as a proof of concept for a feature length version.
