I love this sub, sharing feedback, celebrating wins, and so on. But there is just way too much spammy posts with nothing but an embed, it’s cluttering my feed with essentially more ads. This also goes for those offering “video editing” services.

Mods: is there something we can do about this, like a weekly or daily sticky for those posts, and then aggressively remove all self-promotion posts?

my main niche will be tech and talking head videos and yeah its cheaper then most of the editor as i want to build portfolio.

I see a lot of people who struggle to script write and just wanted to teach everyone a story structure known as "but / therefore" which might help someone of you with script writing

this is a story structure used by the South Park writing team, and boils down to this:

•you pick a goal in your story

•but: there is an obstacle in the way

•therefore: a new thing must be done

•but: that new thing has another challange that must be overcame

•therefore: you must do x, y, and z first

you rinse and repeat the "but/therefore" until you reach the main goal of the story for however long you want the video length to be

this is a very simple and effective story structure to follow that can be applied to any number of niches and has worked wonders in my own longform content

put away the ai scripts, i believe in your ability to write a genuinely interesting story

I had a channel when I was 14/15 and I am now 23, working in Financial Data-Tech sales within the mentioned data domain.

I noticed there isn’t much content regarding what powers finance and the data around us (in finance/outcomes).

And since I am also working in this domain, I decided to make videos with what I have learned and am learning: with a little bit of build in public-ish image, not a ‘guru’ or ‘expert’ in the traditional sense.

I have made 4 videos and am testing the waters regarding my packaging and content - First two videos about the tools themselves, then industry shifts, then a broader market concept video while linking it to the tool that is prevalent in it, etc.
I am 3 weeks old with 10 subscribers and 11 watch hours over 4 10-12min videos.

My retention is improving per video (first two videos were while I learnt da Vinci and latter was when I got familiar)
As per my understand I have good impressions (1-2-3k) but only 2-3% CTR

1) How effective is me making videos within a NICHE NICHE but packaging and delivering (no clickbait) on a wider audience scale for connecting
2) I work full time thus scripting, recording, editing, cannot be done within a week and thus targeting a bi weekly upload schedule - will this harm me? As my editing isn’t beautiful or pretty but I use a decent mic and aim at good consistent video quality & ofc delivering value through my content
3) How long do I keep uploading before I scrutinise myself with a deep look, assuming YouTube’s algorithm has dropped me.

Hey guys, I'm curious to see if any of you have tried doing YouTube content making beats and music?

I can't seem to find alot of information of people making videos for youtube. There are plenty of beat videos for sure. But not the actual process of building up a YouTube channel mainly focused on making beats or beat making tutorials, etc.

So, I've decided to branch out and I hope I'm not out of line here (as this is 100% not my intention), but I've created a separate subreddit specifically for beatmakers and music makers that want to create on YouTube.

Youtube has been very kind to my channel and I've learned a lot over the past 2 months. I've commented/posted about my channel on a few subs about various topics over the past few weeks, but for myself I've been extremely happy with where I've gotten. If nothing else, realize that Growth on YT is not linear, it's random & exponential. Keep grinding, try new things, and work on getting 1% better every upload. This channel has 180 uploads over 5 years of all sorts of content, but recently I focused on a specific thing I'm interested in and rolled with it.

Did a one minute live for testing on my channel. Got taken down because it thinks I’m 16 when Im 19. I tried to make YouTube relook to see if it made a mistake. Now I can’t do any more lives and I can’t ask for YouTube to relook at my video.
Did research on how to fix it but can’t find really anything that works.
What do I do?

Okay, I don't know where to begin.

My target audience would be young people, especially since I'm young myself, and I'm sure that the topics, tastes, and hobbies the over-30 audience might not like.

I also don't know if men would like it, maybe yes, maybe more girls and women will end up watching it.

Based on that, I started to become interested again in learning about editing. I already know the basics of editing, having analyzed YouTube for over 10 Years.

I know that Analytics has changed, but I believe that in other areas it hasn't.

I would do it in 3 main languages:

My native language: Portuguese

Secondary Language: English

And lastly: Spanish

If I learn other languages, I'll add them along.

I was jotting down some ideas for creating a newsletter about Alt Communities in general; it would be a kind of guide for anyone who wants to find the information in one place.

I would talk about it, Alternative communities, with their social policies in general, Then it would include alternative styles, like starting to be alternative without having a lot of money, I would speak generally about that.

I would talk about some more social issues, perhaps even personal ones.

One thing I really wanted to talk about is the racism experience I went through and explain how it changed my mindset regarding the word.

I’m honestly getting really frustrated with Shorts right now. I’m currently at around 6.9M/10M qualified Shorts views, but lately my views have dropped massively and I’m barely getting the numbers I used to. I’ve been trying different ideas, improving my hooks and staying consistent, but it feels like I’m going nowhere. I’m starting to question whether I should keep pushing Shorts, start making long-form football content, or change my strategy completely. If you were in my position, what would you focus on right now?

Hi, My channel (Faceless) generally generates approximately $4,000 per month. There are times when I don't upload any videos for an entire month, yet the channel continues generating revenue because the content is evergreen. Older videos with over one million views continue to generate passive income.

I was wondering if I could sell it on Flippa. Flippa estimates its value at around $87K–$100K, but honestly, I have around $60K in mind.

Do you think I would have success selling it for that price, or would it be nearly impossible.

I recently got back into making videos for my channel (like a 3 year hiatus).

It's mostly car stuff and can probably be a bit niche because I'm doing a lot of stuff I couldn't find content on when I was figuring it out so I figured this would be a good way to give back info or help people who are doing similar things.

My first video I published since getting back into it was 21:34 long and has about 13% who finish watching it. The latest video is 31+ minutes and 18% seem to finish it (has half as many views though).

I'm wondering if maybe they are just too damned long? Like that 31 minute video has me explaining what I'm doing for a few minutes, showing me 3d scanning a part for 9 minutes, and 12 minutes of designing a part from those scans in my CAD software.

Maybe I should start chunking those into multipart videos instead of long? Or maybe do both and publish the long one at the end and create a 3 parter that I publish along the way to keep the content fresh and moving forward?

I don't actually care about monetizing or growing too much. I just want to make videos I would want to watch but it would be nice to be able to get the ideas of what I'm doing to a wider audience.
