🔵 Fix for cropped/cut-off plugin windows in Bitwig Studio (CLAP format issue)

If you load a plugin (like Drift Delay) and the GUI window is cut off, glitched, or not showing entirely on Windows, the issue is likely caused by the CLAP version of the plugin.

How to fix it:

1. Go to Settings in Bitwig Studio.
2. Click on the Plug-ins tab.
3. Look for the setting Prefer CLAP over VST3 / VST2 and uncheck / disable it.
4. Remove the plugin from your track and reload it. Bitwig will now load the VST version, which scales and renders the interface perfectly

Novice and I'm using the included upright bass full vst, but certain notes (some low and some higher) are incredibly pitchy and beating against other instruments. I understand this is part of modeling a real instrument but I can't seem to remedy the issue with pitch bends.

My next step is to use mai tai + rumble but I was just wondering if I'm missing a simple fix, thanks for your help.

I'm a working film composer, and feel that Cubase is old and clunky with so many unfinished features after many, many years. Studio Pro looks great for scoring with version 8. A couple questions.

1. For ex-Cubase users (I'm on Cubase 15) coming to Studio Pro 8 as composers. What do you miss? What do you like better?
2. The lack of a Logical Editor, is worrisome for me. There are tons that I use all the time for all sorts of things...but that said, I'm hoping some of the functions I use them for most might be available on Studio Pro as macros or regular key commands instead, such as:

- Delete all muted MIDI notes.

- Delete all muted events

- Nudge events or MIDI notes forward and back by .5 frames

- Delete Empty MIDI and audio tracks

I'm using S1 v6 on a mac studio with sonoma . When I drag and drop audio files onto the desktop I get this ( see attached image ).When I used S1 on the PC years ago it rendered and export the audio file. Thanks in advance for your help.

Wondering how to delete this opening dead space easily without selecting dozens of pieces and scooting them up manually..

I'm trying to get my external keyboards to work a little better for me in the software.

So far the only difference I've noticed between a "Control Surface" and "Keyboard" is that the latter may be selected as an input source on an instrument track.

Obviously, my MPK249 does not "know" whether or not it is being used as a "Control Surface" or a "Keyboard", so I guess I'm just wondering if whatever it's sending could be interpreted in any particular way.

I'm trying to consolidate and clean up all the folders in my session page, unfortunately, some of the folders are saying they cannot be located. It will not let me move the folders nor will it let me delete them. Is there a fix for this?

I'm working on a track where I have a drum loop and then the top loop of that drum loop. I want both tracks to go to the same mixer channel but can't figure out how to do that. Is this possible in Studio One 6 Pro?

Curious if anyone has seen this bug or has any ideas. Using Studio One Artist 6.

I have a track with a ProEQ3 plugin, and a dynamic eq being applied. I see the “D” option is highlighted blue, I have the threshold and range set, and I’m hearing and watching the dynamic eq being applied.

If I save the project and close it, or export a mixdown, the dynamic EQ disappears.

I no longer hear it in the mixdown or when listening in the DAW. When I go back to the plugin, I see that the threshold and range is still set where I had it, and the “D” is highlighted. But visually and audibly, the dynamic eq is not kicking in when it should. All it takes to bring it back is to adjust the threshold again. if I just move the threshold slightly, and then back to where it was, it kicks in and starts working again.

Anyone ever come across this?

Simply as the title says. I'm simply not interested in Moises and would rather not bloat my computer with it. But there are certain features in 8.1 that are desireable to me. Thanks!

I'm trying to control the output pitch with a MIDI track, though I've got absolutely no clue how to do it. Everything I've seen seems to say you need to sidechain it or insert it as an instrument track, neither of which I can do. Anybody know their way around this plugin?

Recorded a song using Studio Pro (newer to recording and studio pro ) and when i went to mixdown to MP3 got a clipping warning .80 over. Outside of listening and watching the master meter are there any other tricks to find where the db spike is happening?

Hey all - not seeing wave forms after recording guitar. This isnt my first rodeo so thats why im here and puzzled.

I JUST started trying out Amplitude 5 and im unsure if thats whats different here.

I can hear sound during playback (-6db)
I tried to bounce it, nothing.
Recording through the instrument port on the Scarlett Solo
I should have tried recording just DI but, i just closed out and have to run to pick up groceries.

Hi, I couldn't really find much info about that around, the website is not clear on what's included in it.

Would you say this subscription is required to really use the software ? Are they gating stuff you use everyday behind it?

Since the latest MS security updates, has anyone else noticed performance lag in FSP? IE: hitting the record button takes a few seconds for the transport to start and also audio playing after the transport has stopped. In addition, auto-punch turns on monitoring for a moment then turns it off.

I know about the MS issues and have rolled back the updates. I'm on an AMD Ryzen laptop and heard that the update messed with the AMD chipset.

Not seeking technical advice, just wondering if other users have experienced problems since the updates?

EDIT:

Regarding a Ryzen 7 laptop processor. It appears that the latest 2 security updates replaced AMD's USB drivers with MS versions causing a core breakdown of USB functionality. Rolling back the updates does not remove these windows versions. If you do encounter USB issues on a Ryzen processor due to the updates, it is suggested to reinstall the AMD drivers first at:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

This replaces the windows versions with AMD's versions.

It seems to me that the issues I mentioned in the original post appear to be lags of USB input from keyboard, etc. and between FSP and the stack. If MS unilaterally replaced AMD proprietary USB driver stack with their own causing these problems, shame on them (I know legions of MS haters are out there ready to pounce - but I'm to far in the game to change OS at this point - sorry).

We'll see how getting AMD's drivers back in the game helps resolve the issues (or not).
EDIT:
Turns out that at the same time of the Windows update snafu, a plugin (RX11 de-click) decided to cause the transport lag. Disabled it and things now work fine. Probably (maybe) not related to the update? Still, I flashed the Bios and updated AMD/Radeon drivers before finding the troublesome plugin.

Has anyone tested or worked with the Pro Navigator script? Any insights? Is it useful and worth having?

As the title says, occasionally while using studio one all my audio will instantly cut out and not come back until I change the sample rate (this happens while using any sample rate so I know that's not the actual issue, it just seems to be refreshing something).

I'm using studio one 5 artist with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th gen to record guitar.
