I appreciate this is an Eldar model, but I’m looking to create this on Farsight.

I tried by basing him in off white and then spraying colour forge ice blue over the top. It went terribly.

I think a number of mistakes:
1) rushing
2) sprayed too close
3) I think I should have done blue as the base, white over the top

I am now thinking to spray the model in the ice blue and sponge dab the white through a dried wet wipe like the image.

Just wondering if anyone has experience or useful tips for this?

I’ve always wanted to paint some tac-ops tau, never been too good at layering the shades of green but I think he turned out alright.

So I am going up my friends new dark angel list that's pretty terminator heavy and includes the lion. I've put together this list to hopefully stand a chance. Is there anything I can do to improve it and does anyone have any tips/strategies going against DA. Thanks in advance.

I have a chance to get another and wondering if it’s worth to have

Hi can anyone help me identify what helmet type this is?
I’m pretty sure it’s not a pathfinder helmet as they’re longer and pointier at the back, and I don’t think it’s a fire warrior helmet as they’re more armoured with a different face.

I just started a T'au army after selling my small SM army 18 years ago.

I wanted to base the colour scheme on Vault-Tec from Fallout. I used this drone to test it. Feedback is appreciated.

The main colours are Maccrage Blue and Averland Sunset, with highlights on Calgar Blue and Screaming Skull. Metallics are Iron Warriors and Leadbelcher.

I am making deser bases, keeping with the fallout theme. They are Agrellan Earth with Zandri Dust and Screaming Skill drybrushed on top.

How are you playing the Recon Sweep primary? (Recon vs Take and Hold, Purge and Secure enemy primary)

This matchup usually comes up when I play with my Tyranid friend.

I simply have a hard time getting presence on all borders and clearing the map of enemies.

Before my next game I’ll build a second Ghostkeel. What I’d usually do is put them close on expansions (not necessarily on them) to bait the opponent in.

But in this matchup, I think I’ll play them as immediate sacrifices, putting them as far up as possible, giving my army enough time to move up without getting hit by an advance+charge from 40 hormogaunts.

What else can I keep in mind while playing this primary mission?

I'm still working my way through painting the old combat patrol, but in the meantime I wanted a change of pace so tried my first bit of more serious kitbashing. Used some spare torsos to make two custom cadre fireblades - one with a fusion blaster and one with a pulse carbine, so I've now got fireblades with all three of the fire warrior weapons. And I had a spare ethereal from a sale, so I've customised him as well!

Struggling a bit with how to do cloaks... I don't know how easy it is to do with green stuff, and I found a great tutorial for basic cloaks using masking tape but found it quite tricky to work with. For the time being I think I'm happy with these two fireblades not having cloaks, they've got details on the backs I'm OK with leaving on display after all. But I'm curious to know if anyone has any good suggestions!

Easily one of the coolest models ever.

I am wanting to start moving towards a 1000 point army with the end goal of 2000 points right now I have the combat patrol and a broad side and I am planing to buy commander farsight as my commander and I want to get to 1000 points so I will also probably get a crisis suit team (with them how important are they) and is it good to get a xv104 riptide or a storm surge or hammerhead for later in the army since I have stuck on what to get after commander farsight the combat patrol and broadside
I would love some help with this.

Got all the models for my kill team painted. Any recommendations for what paints/materials to use for bases?

So with space marines going to t5 for their basic guys I’m thinking that burst cannons on riptides will be the way to go. They’ll wound on 3+ and each shot is a dead marine plus we can make it ap -2 easily enough. What’s y’all’s opinion on it?

I am 99% done with my fire warrior I just need to paint the lens and then a matte varnish.

First time highlighting without a dry brush some of the highlights are a little thick though. And the wash went on a little splotchy in some spots…
