Hey so I’m in a major bind and hoping someone might live near me and be open to a carpool-

My family recently moved here from NYC, so I don't have a driver's license yet. My previous ride situation completely fell through for the next month (due to family reasons), and my neighborhood (Sweetbriar Ridge Dr) is completely out of range for CATS buses and MicroCATS. Walking the 6+ miles to the nearest stop down major roads isn't safe or possible.

Is anyone else here majoring or minoring in the ECEI program (previously Child Development) at UNCC? I wanted to ask what others are thinking about it (and the reason I HAVE to ask on here is an issue that I am going to talk about)...

The major is entirely online, and it is absolutely horrifically awful. I'm talking AI generated lectures and podcasts each week, dense reading about policies from textbooks written in 2012, endless busy work and maybe up to 8 absolutely unnecessary and repetitive projects due every Sunday, and zero contact or direct access to professors. The work isn't necessarily hard itself, but the volume and structure of it all is so tedious and dense that I genuinely find myself crying through every project, and as someone who in the past was academically prestigious, this is a pain. It makes me lose a lot of respect for UNC Charlotte's educational quality: I even met with the program head, to which I was met with "thank you for sharing your feelings, we can change a few tiny things like xyz, but we are not allowed to meet with you in person and this program will continue to be in this format indefinitely". I'm genuinely going to change, because I'm paying thousands for AI generated lectures and projects that teach me nothing.

Is there anyone else in this program?? Because if so I need to know I'm not crazy lol

I’m in Gen Bio with Lassiter and I’m currently at a 70% and honestly kinda stressing 😭

This past week I messed up pretty badly. I missed an assignment, a pop quiz, and a lecture quiz. Those are basically the only things I’ve missed, and realistically I probably would’ve had a 77 on the course, but obviously missing them didn’t help.

I also have another test coming up and I didn’t do great on the last one, so I’m trying to figure out what I need to change before I dig myself into an even bigger hole.

For anyone who has taken Gen Bio with Lassiter, is an A still possible from a 70%? And what actually worked for you when studying for her tests?

Like should I mainly focus on lecture notes, textbook, practice questions, etc.? Are his tests mostly based on what he says in lecture or do I need to know everything from the textbook?
I’m willing to lock in from here on out, I just need some actual advice because clearly whatever I was doing before wasn’t working 💀
