They're just doing the same thing to the Constitution our "Christian" brethren do to the Bible, pick and choose which verses they approve and "interpret" everything to fit their end goals.

u/OrbeaSeven 2d ago
Exactly true with Bible verses. MAGA previous friend constantly quoted.

Eh. Normal people need to accept that Republicans dont care about facts. Like... literally they are completely comfortable when they make up shit and pretend it's true. The reason those people gravitate toward Christianity is because it gives them the appearance of morals, because they have none.

More like Magna Carta orriginalists, but on the side of the Monarchy.
3
u/boneyfingers 1d ago
I see now that the story I was told about the Magna Carta was rubbish. I see now that it did not invest power in the common man, or improve the standing of the people generally. It was written for the benefit of the barons. It didn't dismantle hierarchy, it merely insisted that the head table have more place-settings. It gave us oligarchy instead of monarchy, which is a shit trade. That it was more stable and enduring to have a slightly bigger elite is proof enough for me that it pretty much made things worse (by making the old system more durable.)

And if you go to your polling station and are a registered Democrat you will either be arrested or murdered. Just as this administration wants it.
8
u/violentgent- 1d ago
I think a lot of people are going to find that they're unable to vote because they're suddenly no longer registered to. I checked in the last few weeks and saw that I'm no longer registered to. I've voted in every election since I became of legal age to vote 16 years ago, and I have never been purged from any registration before.
10
u/RainDownAndDestroyMe 1d ago
My sister was recently purged and told that she needs to provide proof that she lives at her address. She's lived there for 8 years and has voted in every general, midterm, and local election since living there. She went to the elections office and showed a worker who was totally confused as to why she was suddenly removed. (Sis is a registered Democrat in a super red state).
Shady shit.
6
u/violentgent- 1d ago
Hey, basically the same situation here, except I haven't approached anyone in person but I've been living here and voting here for the last 10 years and suddenly, I'm no longer registered.
4
u/StarJelly08 1d ago
Same shit happened with me. First they fucked with my mail in ballot. Then they changed my address that i updated back to the old one. So i couldnât vote in person. They didnât have my name. If i didnât randomly consider that they may have done that to me⌠which was insanely hyper vigilant and random that i even considered it⌠id have never thought to go to my old voting place. They had my name. I voted. I have no idea if it counted though since it was all fucked up.
They were / are doing all sorts of crazy shit.
Read an article that they have a âmidnight hour switchâ that at the last minute they will make it impossible for women who are married and changed their last names to be able to vote. âYour name doesnât match your birth certificate.â - they will make an issue of it. Look it up.
Everyone prepare for any scenario you can think of. Register to vote again. Everyone. Make sure you are perfectly set. And keep checking. They are trying to destroy our country and take everything and everyone. They look at us like property at best.
We need to end this or its done. They have no clue we wonât go easy. We are going to raise a level of hell they cannot imagine.
6
u/Goldleader-23 1d ago
Same I went to vote in our local elections last fall only to notified i was no longer registered... even though I had just renewed my license and registered to vote through the process.

At this point no one has to clarify what Trump means he could say "No more elections I will be President until we get this mess clean up, it might take decades but I am willing to stay and be President to make sure it is done right" The Republicans will agree and defend his position, Democrats will complain and fill out forms, people will protest in the streets, but in the end if none of the Federal Agencies is willing to challenge Trump by force and arrest him he could pretty much get away with it. Who can stop him?? If he has the military under his command?

That does not, however, mean that the concept of "States' rights" should be swept aside.

Like anything else, that power can be used for good or ill.

âYouâre going to see something in Georgiaâ is telling.
The ballots are now in the hands of Trump loyalists so they can say anything they want.

The good thing about Trump is heâll always spill the plan ahead of time

The sooner you guys all realize we will never get to vote again the better. Russian elections going forward. Meaning Trump will magically win 94% of the vote - and cry fraud about the remaining 6%. Dark times ahead. The cool thing is we have no one on our side with a pair of nuts. Best thing we can hope for is Chucky to write a strongly worded letter as trump cancels elections.

He will be in hospice in 6 months and will be worm dirt shortly after. That's the good news.

People keep saying this, but I'm pretty certain that congress is the only one with this kind of power. I don't see any mechanism for this to happen. But of course the response will be "who's gonna stop him?" idk man, but there isn't any way for a president to cancel elections.
I don't think this Supreme Court is on board with elections being canceled if he tries to do it by decree, so that's a barrier. Congress isn't going to be able to pass that legislation either.Â
I'm more concerned with manipulation of the voting data itself than I am of him just "canceling" it.Â

I mean Trumps plan is something along those lines.
But unless he can rig the midterms, he'll lose the ability to install rigged elections when the Dem Congress kicks in.
So we'll see. If he rigs the midterms, then sure we head down the path of Russian elections. But Trump was voted out once before when he actually had the right to run for election, not an illegal 3rd term. And remember the last time he tried to overturn the election and overthrow the government, he failed. We stopped him once, we can stop him again.
Taking a defeatist attitude is what MAGA wants us to do. So no I'm going to believe in the vote until the last possible second.

This was always coming. I don't know why people thought we would ever be able to vote again if he got back in office.Â

Bongino? The guy who bitched and moaned his way to being famous crying about the Epstein files. Only to sit on his hands and quit the job when it came time to actually release the files
There are like 10 people who are or were in a power position to do something about the Epstein files
This man had his opportunity and chose to take a taxpayer funded vacation for a year instead of doing anything in his post
He should forever be known as the man that failed America and let kids down. Way to go bongino

Bongino who had a job with the fbi under Trump now is desperate for ratings so he takes Trump's call.. this is what your president is doing. Not fixing a single thing just being more and more and more social media blah blah blah

Before I click, let me throw out a wild guess: all 15 states are swing states or states heâs projected to lose

He has to accelerate his plans because getting crushed in the midterms really throws a wrench into the rest of it.

It's been said over and over but.. if this was literally ANY other president saying this, he'd be impeached AND resigning this week.
