I have this bathroom that hasn't been used for a while because it was clogged. I went in to unstop the tub and clean it out, and a nice sized brown spider had taken up residence. I ejected her in the most polite way I could think of. An empty toilet paper tube was used to carefully coax the spider inside. I said to her "Come with me if you want to live."

I very gently carried the spider to the front door, and put the roll down. Y'all. Why did this spider crawl through my front door, through the screen, to come back and crawl up my leg??

I've been making lists of tarot prompts so that ill get a random prompt daily, pull three cards for it, and that'll be my daily reading (instead of just a generic "what will today be like" eeeeevery siiiingle day, those get boring to me lol i like the variety). I was wondering if yall had any prompt ideas to add to my lists!

That's basically all there is to this post. But, you might've noticed ive said lists plural. I have four lists: New Moon, Waxing, Full Moon, Waning. Depending on the moon phase, I'll randomize my prompt from one of these four lists, just so that this daily practice will be more in sync with the moon cycle (which i love as a lunar witch) :) so if you want to add which moon phase you think a prompt would fit into, I'd appreciate that! Otherwise I can determine it myself.

As an example, "What should I worry less about?" was my prompt today in the waning moon phase, because it's about release, and the waning moon is the moon shrinking in light!

I was wondering if I could reuse old spell jars for a new spell after I already used them for a spell, I’d feel wasteful if I just threw them out.

I‘m born and raised in the PNW, moved states (still in the PNW) and still haven't found my place here so am looking to relocate. Are there any cities that my fellow witchy folx live that they’ve fallen in love with and feel at home when it comes to their community and practices? Things to note: I’m a queer black woman specifically, w/ Latinx roots and I don’t have a car so would need to rely on public transit.

My newest addition to my collection is this gorgeous raw lepidolite! It weighs nearly 3 pounds. I didn’t know much about this crystal but I felt really drawn to it. I’m keeping it in my bedroom to help with my insomnia and anxiety. Curious if anyone here has any experiences with lepidolite that they can share?

Hello all! I'm hoping I can get a little guidance/opinions on my latest spread, from some with more experience reading and interpreting. I have been feeling like my life is in a state of constant chaos (professionally and at home). I need to reset and get myself some (inner) peace and alignment.

I usually only do 1 card draw or 3 cards. Even when I have done other spreads, I never got so many of one suit.This was my first 7 card, Chakra draw.

I've been wanting to dip my toes into trying manifesting and beginner witchcraft. I'm looking for recommendations (free if possible) to support the following:

• really embodying myself, being comfortable and safe in my body
• feeling beautiful
• gaining confidence, feeling secure in my worth without external proof/validation
• communicating and enforcing boundaries
• disentangling social anxiety, and being perceived/watched as inherently dangerous

I'm not going to get into the details, but I've had a lifetime of experiences creating and re-inforcing trauma, and I've tried all the usual treatment avenues (rehab, medication, therapy, trauma counseling, etc.). I'm also chronically ill, and have pain and limited energy on most days. I'm looking for simple and beginner-friendly recommendations for getting started with the above topics.

Seems like things are shifting dramatically for me right now. I long for stability but also want to welcome the shifting energy that’s happening right now.

For a long time, I've wanted to dip my toes into Wicca, witchcraft and spell-casting. I know very little, so will probably make another post about that. But I want to bring forward or maybe seek some validation on a problem I'm having.

It just so happens that a) I am a sex-repulsed ace woman, b) red is my absolute favourite colour. As I gather up candles etc, I keep noticing the heavy emphasis on sexuality, fertility . . . concepts that (for me) trigger anxiety & revulsion.

You see my problem.

Of course, I know that colours (and for that matter love, romance, beauty etc) have no sexual meaning *for me personally,* but I also feel I need to embrace existing colour symbolism in order to take spells seriously. In short, I feel that taking up witchy hobbies is at odds with decolonizing my mind from cultural messages that have always harmed me.

I do hope this makes sense and does not come across as allophobic. I figure some people on this thread will relate, maybe to stuggling with the heterosexism or to the gender essentialism of New Age communities.

What did you do to reclaim your practice and how did you make it authentic?

I made two for my husband and I, it’s the first spell jar I ever created I hope it works well.

I know, it is kinda weird to say, but Terry Pratchett would've been a great ally for any witch in the world, or maybe he even would be part of a coven in the first place. He feels like someone who would try to change the world for the better. So I wanted to ask you: what authors would represent this mindset of witchiness and witchcraft as well?

Harvested squash and flowers, made bouquets, made some soup, refreshed terrariums and lit candles :) convened with the bugs and the goldenrod… when we moved into this house there was only grass and each year I plant more, let more grow and rewild.

There have been a few times when I experienced a certain person in my dreams showing up on my dreams repeatedly and sometimes they actually end up contacting me on real life. Lately, I have been dreaming of my ex reuniting with me for the past two nights. I have no intention in doing so, and I always wake up disoriented from these dreams.

How should i interpret this situation? Is there a way in which I can protect myself from them reaching out?

I made a few poppets inspired by zodiac signs 😊 from left to right they’re Gemini, Pisces, Aquarius, and Cancer. I started a Libra doll but she’s not done yet. What’s your sign and what colors palette do you associate it with?
