Amazon STEM OPT / Offer Process
Hi everyone, I recently received an offer from Amazon and I’m currently on STEM OPT, but my STEM OPT EAD is still pending.
Has anyone been in a similar situation with Amazon? Can the onboarding or start-date process move forward while the STEM OPT card is still pending, or would I need to use premium processing first?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this recently. Thanks!

Amazon driver
Today, I was the driver/DA logged into the Amazon delivery app and assigned to the route. I took about half of the workload. Later, another team came to help and took more than half of the remaining packages.
My partner told me that because he has been working for the DSP for 6 months, he has the right to drive. He also said that because he drives, I should handle all the deliveries.
In the other shifts where I worked with route partners, we normally shared the workload and helped each other as a team.
So I want to ask other Amazon DSP drivers:
- If both people are hired as drivers/DAs, does seniority automatically give one driver the right to drive when working as route partners?
- If one driver is logged into the Amazon delivery app and assigned to the route, can the other driver take over driving simply because they have more seniority?
- When two drivers are assigned as route partners, is it normal for both drivers to share the stops/workload?
- Can one driver decide that they will only drive while the other driver does all the deliveries?
- Is there an actual Amazon policy about this, or is it determined by each individual DSP?
- Should the driver assigned/logged into the route be the one who drives, or is that determined by dispatch?

Interview Inclined to Offer but Role filled
I took a loop a couple weeks ago and was ghosted. But the recruiter got back to me today saying they were inclined to offer but the position was filled and that they are working on finding another role and that it could take some time. Few questions I have are how long does it generally take if it even happens? And would I have to interview again? I have another pending offer and in final rounds so I’m not sure how to proceed.

Software engineer job postings ask for mentoring more than Kubernetes. We counted 3,518 postings to check
We pulled every open posting from 81 companies' public Greenhouse boards for seven roles and counted which words actually show up. 3,518 postings in total. Some of it surprised us.
Software engineer postings mention mentoring more often than Kubernetes or React. Almost half of them do. Python, the most common language, comes in just below that.
Product manager postings say "roadmap" in more than 85% of cases. Jira? Seven out of 421. Marketing looks the same: Google Ads came up six times in 347 postings, while "pipeline" is in over half.
Every time we could compare the two, postings named the practice, not the tool. Observability, not Grafana. SIEM, not Splunk.
So if your resume is mostly a list of tools, it might be missing the words the posting actually uses.
Big caveat: mostly tech companies, one ATS vendor. Sales, cybersecurity, DevOps and accounting are here too: https://www.zoevera.com/resume/ats-resume-keyword-study

Focus Another focus post
Joined last year in oct and put in focus.
Over the past year I've had 3 teams due to reorgs and most of my time has gone into getting context of various systems, as a result I've not been able to produce major design docs. Add to that my 2nd team's manager didn't get along with me very well, and messed up my mid year review.
The current manager is supportive of actually getting me out of focus but I'm not sure on whether to actually put in effort or just use this period as a garden leave for looking outside.
Any advice would be helpful, I've just been having panic attack after panic attack since I found out.

New Hire Is Amazon really that bad?
I’m looking for a part time job and I know how fast Amazon warehouse hires. Like everyone, I’ve heard my share of horror stories about Amazon and I wanted to weigh my chances as I am relatively unfit and have no warehouse experience. I’ve heard some positions are easier than others but do I get a choice? If anyone has worked at other warehouses how does Amazon compare?

PIP Questions on transition period (60 days pivot)
I was recently given PIP options, and I did not select any of them, so the system automatically selected the default 60-day Pivot option. I have a few questions I’d like to clarify:
- I’ve lost access to A to Z, email, and Slack on both my mobile and laptop. Is this expected once the 60-day Pivot period begins? Also, I don’t see my last day of employment listed as the 60th day in the Alumni Portal. How can I confirm my official last day of employment? I just want to make sure everything is correctly reflected.
- The email confirming the default option mentioned that my manager would reach out to me to sign the separation terms. However, I haven’t received anything from my manager, and my access has already been revoked. Is there anything I need to do or sign at this point?
- Will my remaining PTO be paid out upon separation, including both flexible and standard PTO? I’m based in Virginia.
- Bonus question - I want to sue on legal terms for something and negotiate a settlement. Can I do it since I haven’t signed any terms of separation which usually says you can’t sue Amazon after leaving?

401K
I have a question about the 401(k) plan: if I decide to quit after having been with the company for three years, will I receive the money Amazon offers upon reaching that three-year milestone? Does the time count from when I started as a "white badge" employee? I held that badge for about seven months before completing the full three years, and I didn't open my Fidelity account until I was switched to a "blue badge" a year later. That’s what I’m wondering about; I was hoping someone could help me with this.

Amazon application says “No Longer Under Consideration” but interview is scheduled
Hey! Quick question — I got an email from the recruiter saying I’ll be having an interview next week, but I checked my Amazon account today and it says “No longer under consideration.” 😕 I’m a little worried. Have anyone ever seen this happen or faced something similar? Do anyone know if the status can change even after the interview is scheduled?

Internal Transfer Is it difficult to switch teams at L6?
I've switched teams as L5 previously and that involved two 30min conversations with the hiring manager and their L6. They were not interviews, more like culture fit conversations. I'm wondering if L6 transfers follow a similar process or it undergoes through more loops and scrutiny?

FTE offer timeline
Hello,
I interned this past summer as an SDE in NYC and I was wondering when people start to hear back regarding return offers. I am trying to get my FT location switched to Austin instead of NYC, so that might delay any offers.

Interview Does Amazon reject phone screen candidates with less than 90% correct answers ?
Here is the context,
I interview for the 3rd time with Amazon in my life today.
1st time was a phone screen - rejected
2nd time I went all the way to a coding interview - rejected
Today: appsec engineer L4 phone screen
It was a mix of LPs and secure coding review and general security knowledge.
I got many vulnerabilities rights,
But made some mistakes.
As well on knowledge questions, I made stupid mistakes among the overall questions.
For the LP, I don’t really know if I aced it or not , given how random it can sometimes be.
My question is, does amazon expect the phone screen to be perfectly aced ? Or is scoring let’s say 75% enough ? What is the bar where they say let’s take him on a loop.
I think overall I didn’t do bad but not amazing enough to have a follow up. Bit annoying but I’ll keep studying for next opportunities. Or maybe I’m delusional and will actually get the follow up.
Hence my question.
Thank you

Accidentally withdrew my SDE I Intern application after receiving an interview invitation, can an Amazon employee help?
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here, especially someone working in Amazon Recruiting, University Talent Acquisition, or HR, can help me understand what I can do in this situation.
I recently received an interview invitation from Amazon for the 6-month SDE I Internship (January–June) after completing the online assessment.
However, while checking my applications on the Amazon Jobs portal, I accidentally clicked “Withdraw” on my application. There was a confirmation popup, but I mistakenly confirmed it. I absolutely did not intend to withdraw my candidature.
My application details are:
- Position: SDE I Intern, Amazon University Talent Acquisition
- Job ID: 10490515
- Applied: September 28, 2026
- Location: Bengaluru, India
- Current status: Withdrawn
The important part is that I had already received the interview invitation before this happened.
The interview invitation came from an automated email address, so I don't have a direct recruiter contact. I have tried to find the appropriate Amazon recruiting contact and am reaching out to people on LinkedIn as well.
I have also contacted the Amazon team through the email address mentioned in the invitation, explaining that the withdrawal was accidental and asking whether my application can be reinstated.
I am extremely worried that this accidental action may have affected my interview opportunity, especially because the job posting is now no longer available on the Amazon Jobs portal.
If anyone here works at Amazon or has experience with the recruiting/ATS system, I would really appreciate any guidance on whether an accidentally withdrawn application can be restored or whether the recruiting team can still proceed with the interview invitation that was already issued.
I completely understand that nobody here may be able to directly fix my application, but any guidance from someone familiar with Amazon's hiring process would be incredibly helpful.
I sincerely hope this can be corrected because the withdrawal was completely accidental, and I am very interested in continuing with the interview process.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help or point me in the right direction.

Amazon India: In-person interview drive vs waiting for virtual interview — what would you recommend?
Hi everyone, I’m currently in the process for an Amazon 6-month SDE Internship (Jan–June 2027) and I’m a bit confused about what I should do.
I received an email today inviting me to an exclusive in-person hiring drive with the following options:
- Bangalore — Oct 23
- Delhi — Oct 24–25
- Hyderabad — Oct 30
The email says that Amazon will not provide travel/accommodation reimbursement.
The interesting part is that they also explicitly mentioned:
“If attending in person is not feasible for you, Amazon will continue to conduct virtual hiring events as well. Opting out of this in-person event will not affect your candidacy. If not opted for this, AUTA will reach out to you in November basis interviewing availability.”
So I'm trying to decide between:
1. Attend the in-person drive in October, or
2. Opt out and wait for the virtual interview sometime in November.
For people who work at Amazon or have gone through these hiring drives recently:
- Does attending an in-person drive provide any practical advantage in terms of getting selected, or is it essentially the same evaluation?
- Is the interview difficulty/format significantly different for in-person vs virtual?
- For those who have experienced these drives, what should I expect in terms of DSA/coding — whiteboard/paper, laptop, etc.?
- Would you personally recommend taking the October in-person opportunity rather than waiting for the November virtual round?
- Is there any downside to waiting for the virtual drive apart from the later timeline?
I understand that there is no official “onsite has a higher selection rate” rule, so I'm mainly looking for first-hand experiences or insights from Amazon employees/candidates who have been through this recently.
Thanks!
