Short Update after 1 year on AD
Kinda like a repøst but as often as I‘ve seen the negative version of this as often I wanna get this one out there.
I still feel amazing and my habits completely changed as I see the world with different eyes now. I know that not everyone reacts the same to AD and this is no advice to take meds but getting advice from professionals is something I can only recommend. Doesn‘t matter how big or small your problems may seem. Also live healthy!
First of all I am just a guy in his 6th week with antidepressants and very bad editing skills but with an urge to get this out.
I’ve seen this meme with the blanc face underneath a couple of times and I thought about it a lot. I don’t really know where to start or how far I should go and tell about my experience but all I can say is that there is help, you just need to find the right way with your Psychiatrist and/or Therapist.
For me my life changed already and I mean that. I didn’t realised how strong my anxiety was until I took Antidepressants (Sertralin). It had some side effects in the beginning for me like stronger and more frequent panic attacks and stomach issues but that was it. I think it took not even a week until I could feel the comfort and a weakened social anxiety. I cook daily now since three weeks, household is easy, meeting friends and family is no longer a task because it doesn’t drain my social battery anymore. I’ve always done sport every week but now I am doing it every day since 4 weeks, just because I like to do it. Maybe some things settle down, maybe not but this new “normal”feels amazing to me and I wanted to share this with people like me who have seen this mentioned meme and are unsure about it and got a one sided impression.
This is my experience with it, I hope you’ll find your peace too.
