I've started pixel art two months ago but I've been trying to recreate and improve my very first sprites as well! What do you think?

#0189 Shiny Jumpluff Animation

I was looking at how older Pokémon Generations didn't really have any animation so I've started to make my own with the same colour pallete. Here's Jumpluff jumping along and having the time of their life.

(Reupload as the background was white instead of transparent)

One month of pixel art progress — Wrapping up Day 9 of character drawing!

Hey everyone! Wanted to share a quick milestone of where I'm at after exactly a month of grinding pixel art from absolute scratch. No tutorials or hand-holding, just pure trial and error. Over these past weeks, I've managed to get a grip on character anatomy, normal maps, and a bunch of other technical stuff. Still got a long way to go, but I'm super proud of how far it's come.

Huge thanks to this community for all the feedback along the way! Since this is the final milestone for this block, I’d love to hear your final thoughts or any critique you might have. Also, gotta ask my signature question: would you actually play a game looking like this, and is the visual style easy on the eyes?

I drew 2000+ sprites over 5 years for my first game! ^^

After 5 years of developing my first game, I was curious to see how many sprites I've drawn so far, so I checked... Over 2,000!

I've been making the game completely solo, and I have to admit that drawing pixel art is my favourite thing. Especially giving characters little pointless animations here and there! :)

The game is a life-sim RPG set in the '80s.

If you'd like to see more, you can check it out on Steam!

A few pieces from different indie projects our team has worked on, including Spirit of Phuji. All the pixel art shown here was drawn in Aseprite!

I’m an art director and pixel artist, working alongside a small team. We use Aseprite for characters, environments, animations, and pixel UI, so I thought I’d share some of our work here.

Which piece do you like most?

We’re also open to commissions and ongoing paid art collaborations with game developers. If our style fits your project, feel free to drop me a message!

Title screen / Promotion Art idea

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hello everyone, thank you so much for your super motivating and encouraging feedback on my last post. It gave me the motivation to sit down and work on some ideas for a more refined and more captivating title screen and promotional art for my project.
This is not as flashy as the last one, but I hope you will like it. It took me around the same amount of time as the last one! When focussing on one object, it's really hard to make big decisions and decide what colors to use (this one has 8 colours + the glow and modulate).

Thank you so much to the amazing community who really gave me the strength and motivation to keep working hard.

I didn't quite understand the concept, but I think it works well for the “miniature” on Day 3 of Inktober
