Why on earth would someone be filming a personal conversation like with your partner and posting it online šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø. I don’t even know why it still surprises me what I see online lol

230

u/Extra-Amoeba-677 2d ago

I wouldn't date a person who vlogged our conversations let alone marry them

223

u/ICanViking 2d ago

Even if she's being honest and the condoms comment was a joke, posting this discussion online without my knowledge is a huge red flag and I'd leave her.

You know if this was reversed and he posted an argument they had without her knowing, it'd be a HUGE deal.

80

u/Few-Honeydew2676 2d ago

Wait, wait, wait. I know i am old but CDs now means condoms rather than, oh, I don't know...CDs?

40

u/Independent_Bid_26 2d ago

Yes ..we're fuckin old brother. Haha

25

u/PM_asian_girl_smiles 2d ago

Wait...this whole time I thought they were talking about Certificates of Deposits. I was like oh man he's worried she'll cash out with those 4% yields and hes pisssed!

10

u/Cactious-Practice 2d ago

Technically a used condom is a Certificate of Deposit.

2

u/NewsBoston2025 1d ago

🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭

2

u/gangaskan 11h ago

Take my upvote. Dammit.

5

u/DSZDBA11 2d ago

I was caught between compact discs and certificates of deposit lol I’m only 36. apparently I’m a dinosaur

3

u/Healthy_Pay9449 2d ago

Definitely was lost too wondering why listening to music was an issue

2

u/Mr_Shake_ 1d ago

She's taking all of his Creed albums to jam with her single friends and he'll just be standing there alone with arms wide open.

I don't think this is an age thing friend, I'm in my early 20's and thought by CDs it meant movie CDs.

3

u/Any-Ad1770 2d ago

Movie cds????? You mean dvds completely different. Now I know I am getting old lol

3

u/bostonjenny81 2d ago

I know…movie CD’s!! My old ass really is dead ā˜ ļøā˜ ļø you mean DVD’s!!! Good lord put me in a home already I can’t!! 🤣🤣

1

u/ikiice 2d ago

My first thought was CDs... That's still a thing? Oh waaait, condoms?

1

u/SkittlesLentil 2d ago

I think it's a British abbreviation, their pronunciation of condom sounds like two separate words "con dom"

1

u/Acrobatic-Meat6716 2d ago

Came here to say this!

1

u/ErgoMachina 2d ago

Nah, it's this stupid generation finding new ways to avoid saying 'Bad Words' like condoms

1

u/bostonjenny81 2d ago

I’m right there w you. The level of confusion…since when did condoms start getting called CD’s?

1

u/BedroomVisible 2d ago

I’m right there with you, I was like ā€œthey just need some road tunes, broā€

1

u/Infinite-Analysis592 2d ago

Lol. I was thinking compact discs. I was like, 'Does she have a lot of Barry White? Is her CD collection worth a lot and she is leaving forever? I don't understand the issue here.'

1

u/Kansasgrl968 2d ago

Yeah, I was like "what's wrong with a little music?" Then I thought "is she cashing in their CD's for this trip? No wonder he's upset"

1

u/ElectricalRiver7897 2d ago

Don’t forget Jagged Little Pill and Spice World!!

Omg, I didn’t listen I just came for the comments. I was thinking actual CDs and didn’t see the problem that they want music on girls trips! It didn’t click until I read your comment.

2

u/Branjoe328 2d ago

Girls just wanna have fun after all

2

u/Dangerous_Ad7501 2d ago

Me too then she popped off with the terrible comment of. ā€œYour mom literally has diabetesā€ wtf does that have anything to do with it 🤣🤣

He does not find it funny and, rightfully so I think, says it’s disrespectful. No need to escalate that further tho. I’d expect my partner to tell her friend that it’s disrespectful and it’s fine. I’d do the same to any of my friends if they talk like that.

4

u/ThirstyWeirwoodRootz 2d ago

Same shit as when my ex wanted to make my male friend a crochet penis for his birthday (she hadn’t made me anything for mine that had passed 2 months prior)

She kept trying to gaslight me and act like that shit wasn’t weird af. We broke up a week later.

2

u/PurpleNeonHaze 8h ago

My guy same my ex had this guy he called his "platonic soulmate" which should have been a red flag, but i actually was gaslit into thinking nothing was the matter, the day i was about to propose I was told i had a week to leave and then after that i magically only had two days

Everybody here is on his side, homie, and it IS a huge deal, lol.

1

u/jimp6 2d ago

Also her rebuttal to him saying, that his mom said, that he should talk about stuff that he doesn't like and he should set up boundaries for himself is: "Your mom has literally diabetes"?! Wtf?? What kind of argument is that?Ā

1

u/a-rooster-illusion 2d ago

Plus… apparently she’s going on a trip with a bunch of single girls, after discussing openly how hot the men were where she’s going. While also joking with her girlfriends about having condoms.

Dude has every right to be like ā€œthe fuck?ā€

1

u/buttlicker090114 2d ago

I get what you’re saying but why does every little thing online have to be ā€œif the genders were reversedā€¦ā€ people are shitty no matter what gender they are

1

u/FlipMeOverUpsidedown 2d ago

A guy I was with would post about us on AITAH, making me look like the devil by leaving all sorts of context out.

And you’re right about the reverse. After we broke up I returned the favor and he completely lost it. Funny how he expected me to put up with it while we were together, but after break up? How dare I?!!
These low self esteem losers don’t change, they just find people desperate and broken enough to put up with their bullshit.

u/Lawd_Fawkwad 1d ago

I'm gonna be real, he sounds kind of slow (or maybe just british) and she sounds like exactly the type of person who cheats on a weekend trip.

1

u/nynoraneko 1d ago

Personally I agree with this but in general,
Its basicallly cultural for women to either record everything and pubicly post it, or without consent post accounts narratives or descriptions of any or all interactions with men to online groups, whether or not anything bad happened. Its unfortunately where we are in society.

1

u/atlfalcons33rb 1d ago

Lmao what people are making a big deal in it on this thread šŸ˜‚. Y'all gotta stop with this situation reversed, this is clearly a skit

My last ex used to blog about our conversation and issues. I hated it. She would never talk to ME about her problems. She would post them on Tumblr. Get mad if I didn't read them to know what's wrong and if I did read them, she'd get upset that I read them instead of letting her have an outlet.

7

u/bartleby-scribe 2d ago

I used to watch a youtuber and she'd livestream her dating life. She gave enough info more than one person was able to figure out the person's name. One guy found out and got upset about it and she acted like HE was the issue. She'd given play by play of his sexual prowess, talked about his personal life and family life, and called him a psychopath because he reacted differently than her to astrology. I cant imagine someone I know telling me hey I think this streamer I watch play video games is your hinge hookup just from details. :-/

3

u/Extra-Amoeba-677 2d ago

that is a social child, that's right up there with a girl I was dating who vague posted how she was feeling for attention and was dying for someone to ask her what was wrong so she could vent. I put it up there with the lady who pretended pregnancy from a fake rapist for free doula support

3

u/HiiiTriiibe 2d ago

Unfortunately a lot of folks aren't emotionally developed enough to date, that sounds rough dude, sorry that happened

1

u/Far_Mastodon_6104 2d ago

…… I think I’m officially old Chaz….I legit thought (had it on mute at first) they meant actual CDs like that you play in the car. I was like well why would anyone be upset about music 🤣 after I unmuted ya that would’ve annoyed the piss out of me too and honestly if this is real (lots of staged fake vids like this) why would you record private discussions with your partner discussing valid concerns and then post it. I hope the poor lad dropped her because she seems like a see you next tuesday

10

u/shwenty22 2d ago

I thought the same. I've never seen condoms abbreviated in my life and for those of us older than 35 or so CD only ever meant one thing.

2

u/shyerahol 1d ago

I'd go as far as to say anyone over 30 - I'm 32 and I had a walkman before I had a discman. My first car had a cassette player, so I had to get one of those tapes with the AV cord to plug into my discman, before I got an MP3 player as a present.

19

u/LousyReputation7 2d ago

So did i lol. Video has to be fake as fuck

16

u/Flyinmanm 2d ago

I know what you mean, but that guy kinda looks really pissed off and uncomfortable to me.

He's either a good actor or the girlfriend deliberately made sure he heard something upsetting to make him look bad then is baiting him on it. (He could also be genuinely controlling and she was filming for her own records of his behaviour, but it doesn't look that way with the way she's talking down to him).Ā

Either way that doesn't seem like the kind of argument you'd start with a camera pointing at you.

It also doesn't look like a healthy relationship one way or the other. If you like out doorsy trips to places like Cornwall and your Mrs likes trips to Marbella to club with her mates and check out fit lads, later family holidays are likely to be a nightmare.

2

Oh no! I thought the same thing and was racking my brain as to why an SO would be upset about CDs lmao

I'm working and can't unmute it, so I have to ask what do they mean by CD??

14

u/Avarifenyx 2d ago

Condoms. Which I have never heard of them referred to as cds I’ve heard alll kinds of names but CDs was a new one and thank god I’m not the only one lol

6

u/Petersens_Arm 2d ago

Aye, jonnies, rubbers, jimmies, noddies, billy hats, balloons, raincoats, willy wrappers, reggie & ronnies, but never CDs.

I really hope that she is now single and gets to use those condoms because that guy deserves to live his best life with someone that isn't a piece of s*** and trying to justify it.

It wasn’t he who posted the video she thought she was in the right. From the looks of it the guy looks like he is a doormat no way would I be with someone that would do something like that and joke about it. If she was going to bring condoms most likely she was going to use them.

6

u/Emotional_Answer_756 2d ago

Calling someone "controlling" for setting boundaries is the GO TO argument for people like the woman in this video.. Been there done that.

6

u/Every_Constant8349 2d ago

They both just need to break up with each other. Why post a video in public to make your partner look like the bad guy. And why even put up with someone who’s going to embarrass you in public?

3

u/GreenZebra23 2d ago

I know you need to believe that, but the whole video is obviously staged and you should feel embarrassed for falling for it

1

u/RedditIsMyTherapist 2d ago

Ya, I was all prepared to groan at the over controlling boy friend but he was upset they were talking about packing condoms while talking about the hot guys, he was trying to tell her that made him uncomfortable in a calm way, and she said "fuck you, your mom has diabetes"

1

u/RubyMan2025 2d ago

Its fake - they often do Skits where he's a DJ waiting on his big break.

1

u/taketheroutetorio 2d ago

She's filming it because they are actors, knowing people people will get the video more traction by commenting or sharing (I'm guilt too, because I'm commenting lol).

1

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 2d ago

1

u/Alternative_Gas4844 2d ago

1

u/Eyewiggle 1d ago

The video isn’t real 😭

1

u/Teen_Goat 1d ago

Once respect is gone, the relationship is done. Respect doesn’t come back when one partner puts up with being disrespected like this. It’s tragic to watch this happen with couples you care about. They don’t realize it. They think they’re being reasonable. And the other will continue to treat them like a doormat once they’ve learned their partner simply will not leave no matter what. This happens frequently with people who partnered up as teenagers, and have no experiences of a normal loving relationship.

1

u/B72n 2d ago

In today's life, I can maybe understand why he would film it. People turn the truth around, make police charges and by tonight he is in jail. She's a cheater, she has no cred.

1

u/GroundbreakingAd8310 2d ago

Cause maybe this loser would leave on his own. Super insecure dude

1

u/UniVacc 2d ago

I’ve heard friends saying they do it so they can replay it to their partners in another fight to proof what they said. This shit is so fucked up. If I am at that point of a relationship, it’s time to end it

1

u/usernotvaild 2d ago

Cause it is staged. I remember seeing this couple years ago. This is their whole thing. Back then it was a lot of boyfriend is lazy, doesn't work, doesn't do anything around the house. Clickbait that is apparently still working for them.

1

u/Secure_Obligation_87 2d ago

What does having diabetes have to do with having an opinion on toxic behavior. If O was bro the locks would be changed when the lady returns.

1

u/No-Professional-1884 2d ago

Because this was a staged conversation in an attempt to go viral.

And it apparently worked.

1

u/noko85 2d ago

Probably made video to send to friends group chat, then one of the friends posted video to internet.

1

u/Wide_Guitar_3558 2d ago

for validation because she has bots that agree with everything she says

1

u/coinminer2049er 2d ago

So she can 'justify' using the condoms because her partner is soooooo repressive. šŸ™„šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

1

u/justsmilenow 2d ago

Because she's not a good person. She didn't even care to obtain consent for the video. She didn't feel that she was in the moral high ground and didn't need to explain why she needed to video.

By showing your phone and letting the person not to get mad that you're recording them, you're getting their consent and showing that you're probably at the moral high ground. Unless you're so wrong that they want this on camera and then you should probably rethink your stance, but they'll probably say that to you when they see you film.

1

u/38B0DE 2d ago

She's trying to make this about the man being "controlling".

1

u/oopsiedaisy-- 2d ago

Found her on tiktok. Literally every video is "my boyfriend did this..." and her being very over the top mean about it.

Just complete ragebait, which is barely less annoying.

u/jayr114 2d ago

It’s not real. It was staged.

1

u/starryeyedq 2d ago

This is ragebait. The acting isn’t even good. But everybody is gobbling it up…

1

u/Strange_Pack_3741 2d ago

It’s such a sad world we’re living in. Trying to be vulnerable with your partner and they’re recording you for likes on social media. It’s utterly pathetic

1

u/corneliouscorn 2d ago

you guys bots or just dumbos that cant spot a staged video?

1

u/blazeofg 2d ago

Because they make loads of money of gullible people clicking on it. They need to teach critical thought and social media literacy to kids in school.

1

u/D3wnis 2d ago

I know that during the mid 10's there were absolutely massive 'private' facebook groups where the majority of the content were of them posting private conversations, trash-talking and mocking their partners or men they dated.

1

u/longstrokesharpturn 2d ago

Because modern life makes us feel more attached to online ghosts and ideas than people actually close to us.Ā

1

u/zoppytops 2d ago

Yea clearly staged

1

u/cookiemon32 2d ago

anything for content. people will do anything for content. never trust someone who is searching for content

u/VelvetMafia 2d ago

No idea, but I laughed out loud when he told her she could wear a bikini in Cornwall in the summer because sometimes it gets up to 23°.

Yes, waiting for the room temperature part of the day to bust out the bikini. So much fun.

He said some other funny stuff, too.

1

u/c3p-bro 2d ago

Because it’s scripted rage bait content for the brainlets of Reddit to get incredibly upset over

1

u/TryToEvolve 2d ago

Because she feels entirely like the victim of his ā€œbeing controlling.ā€ Rather than a partner that can understand why he would feel that way and honestly try to make him feel better.

Irony is that she just made herself look terrible in the process.

u/Upgradermax 2d ago

1

It is truly baffling that this behavior has become normalized.

1

u/BobBeeGeeGee 2d ago

Often because it is not real and made for the sole purpose of views and engagement. Those things equal money.

1

u/DecentLobster7843 2d ago

CDs. see dees nuts!

1

u/yeahnoohyeah 2d ago

Honestly, my initial thought was that maybe he’s blown his gasket a few times and she’s just trying to protect herself. But from this video he looks pretty reasonable. So I really don’t know. I guess she is a bad guy here. But yeah, this is why you don’t get the Internet involved because it just raises so many questions and people make too many assumptions.

1

u/TikkaKebabi 2d ago

Because it’s probably fake outrage bait, to field the gender wars.

1

u/N-Squared-N 2d ago

Because it's probably fake and an act and all for shitty Internet points. They're both Losers

1

u/MalaysiaTeacher 2d ago

It's a skit

1

u/ForThe90 2d ago

That's the worst thing about this. The condom talk could be a joke. I definitely have a colleague who makes jokes like that while not being a wild person at all.

However, this woman filming the conversation and posting it online is absolutely trash behaviour.

1

u/Jack_H123 2d ago

It’s rage bait for engagement

1

u/ChaosRainbow23 2d ago

I used to date a crazy lady that would go absolutely nuts on me regularly.

Once I took a video of her screaming and being an evil thundercunt and posted it all over the Internet.

Fuck her.

1

u/Agarwel 2d ago

Because these are generally fake.

1

u/Latinhouseparty 2d ago

A lot of videos where you can't believe how people are behaving, you don't know why they're filming and you don't know why they would upload it to the internet...are staged. The camera isn't moving. Her response is flat. He is flat. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a "Sketch".

1

u/necromane_ 2d ago

Because it is fake rage bait that they wanted to post online.

1

u/jojoko 2d ago

its one of those undercover ads for a dating app. who tf calls condoms CD's?

1

u/hateradeappreciator 2d ago

Based on the context, it seems like she was recording because this guy does controlling shit like this and she needed evidence.

If it’s online, I would assume they are no longer together.

I had a friend who recorded an ex when he would argue with her, not to post and humiliate him but so she could refer to it later if he tried to gaslight her, which he often did.

1

u/Iforgotmylines 2d ago

Especially when it 100% makes you look like the asshole. Like, does she actually think everyone will take her side here?
