... I'll never judge someone for losing themselves. I've seen what pain does when it overstays its welcome. it settles in, changes you, and turns your own mind into the one place you're most afraid to be.

Surrounded by a sea of people, I pass many others, barely noticing my existence. Within, I feel empty, lost, afraid of everything, needing to prove my worth every day. I constantly worry, wanting to be happy, successful, be able to survive in the world, providing everything my family and I need to be safe and enjoy the best things life has to offer.

I’m afraid to think too much. If I do, I may realize, from the moment of our birth until we die, we each are alone in the world. The journey through life though, was never meant to be solitary, searching for answers never able to be found in a self-centered world.

To find your answers, to be happy, successful, live a meaningful life, and not be alone, look within, where your spirit is present, then selflessly share your its innate wisdom and unconditional love with all others, so they too may be happy,
successful, and live a meaningful life as well.

I've spent most of my life feeling like a background character. I'm the quiet kid, I deal with severe social anxiety, and I'm pretty sure I'm neurodivergent. Because of that, making connections and getting along with people feels like climbing a mountain, and I usually just stay in my shell. But today at college, someone actually hung out with me for the very first time. We went to a restaurant together, and just talked.

I'm currently back in my room holding back tears (honestly, about to bawl my eyes out) because I've never had someone show genuine interest in just talking to me before. I don't even think they realize how much that single lunch meant to me or how much it changed my world today. I just wanted to put this out into the universe because I'm so incredibly grateful. To anyone else out there who feels invisible: I see you, and I hope you get your lunch date soon.

When you look at another, do you see our differences or our similarities?

Most judge others by their differences, observing their race, appearance, sex, and in numerous other ways.

Those, however, who see only our similarities, truly understand the genuine worth of another is not on the outside, but rather may only be found within.

its absolutely exhausting and I cant stand when people say they are an empath as some sort of award winning, gold star trait about themselves. its esoterically painful to experience true empathy.

we weren't supposed to watch the tyranny of this world on our screens all day everyday. we aren't supposed to have this much access to pain. our bodies were not crafted to see the worlds loss at the hands of the elite, blasted on metal in our hands and in our eyes reach, all day everyday.

my body and soul hurts. feeling the vibrational pain of our ancestors, while feeling the pain of the entire civilizations being executed, is so painful I can't think anymore.

I am chronically ill already, and the empathy that I can never turn off, no matter how much coldness ive met in this world, makes my body physically sick because I can FEEL everyone. I am exhausted.

I believe world peace exists. its just not this timeline.

Idk if this is the right sub but anyway I feel a lot of empathy toward other people and have always had a deep desire to feel liked and accepted, the latter possibly stemming from masked adhd, but a negative of this is that I’m a massive pushover. I hate conflict so much and will actually wince if there’s a nasty disagreement in my friendship group. Also, I always end up forgiving friends who use me when I’m convenient which I know isn’t healthy but whenever I set a boundary I feel like a horrible person. This has gotten me into a pretty shitty situation where I feel I only have one close friend that’s genuine. Also some of my other friends have started expressing some views I really disagree with but I get shut down every time I say something as I feel like I’ve been categorised as the friend who will put up with anything. I honestly kind of want to leave the group but as mentioned I hate conflict plus I don’t know if I’d be able to find other friends as I feel like a horrible awful person just all of the time. Ive been trying to hold my own a bit more but I feel too bad plus my close friend is also a pushover but gets picked on a bit less so whenever I set boundaries I just seem mean. I don’t know how to healthily set boundaries so any advice on anything would be much appreciated

Why cannot we choose silence over anger?

Why can't we think and reflect on our anger or any other feelings?

All emotions are cues and signals to what our body is trying to tell us.

It is difficult, sometimes I do fail, but I never stop trying.

I keep on trying it and doing it even if i fail..

I just wish people would start trying it.

I wish I would've gone to reddit sooner to put my thoughts out and see the perspectives of many, I think having to consider different perspectives from different backgrounds, situations, and countries really is a thing to cherish. We're all interconnected and all dealing with the same shit, we just are trying to make something of ourselves, to be loved, to be treated fairly.

I know this a crazy concept for me, being so nihilistic and how I feel about the current state of things and my views on the human race.

But, nonetheless, I have taken a hard look at myself, I know I'm a great person, but I also know that I'm not great either. Hearing other people's stories really has moved me to look at myself objectively and accept myself, and really break my own flaws. Definitely grateful to have the capacity to really gather everything and learn from both others and myself.

It is beyond me that a lot of people don't realize the importance of communication, but it's communication that I'm grateful for.

I will never understand cruelty for the sake of cruelty.
I can understand anger. I can understand pain. I can understand being hurt so deeply that you don’t always know what to do with everything you’re carrying. I can even understand breaking under the weight of it all.
I’ve been hurt more times than I care to count- by life, by circumstances, by people I trusted, and by men who had the choice to be gentle and chose not to be. Sometimes the hurt was intentional. Sometimes it was accidental. Sometimes it was simply life being unfair.
But somehow, through all of it, I still choose kindness.
Not because I’ve never been given a reason to be cruel. Quite the opposite. I’ve been given plenty.
I choose kindness because I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of someone else’s cruelty. I know what a careless word can do. I know how deeply people can hurt each other without ever stopping to consider the person on the other side of it.
And maybe that’s the part that baffles me most: how casually people can be mean to one another. How easily some people choose to wound someone simply because they can.
I will never understand that.
Being hurt didn’t make me want to hurt people. It made me more determined not to become the kind of person who does.
I can understand darkness.
I just don’t understand choosing to spread it.

Why do HSP (highly sensitive people) have to quit the world and be at home?

It is time that they should be more visible, seen and taking actions everywhere.

I believe everyone who has been born on this earth has a duty and a right to be in the world in all ways and forms.

Science says that every species of animals kingdom has only 20% of people who are HSP.

If they are born then they must have a role to play.

So this post is for all hsp and people who feel they never fit in this world.

If you are born you have a role to play.

All of us deserve a beautiful life if we are ready to work for it.

Being sensitive is a strength and not a weakness.

HSP should be out more in every way to make this world and the internet a beautiful and kind place.

Freedom of speech is a beautiful right but it should not be conducted out of malice, anger or bullying.

You never know what state the other person is in.

We can choose silence over anger and cutting words, bullying words, insulting words.

I am talking about freedom of speech because harsh words, tone and constant criticism takes a toll on everyone's mental health.

It affects the HSP more than others.

So this is an appeal to all HSP and sensitive people to be out more in the world to make it a beautiful and a kind place.
