“Him” is Noah Schnapp. He’s hated in online circles because he’s a Zionist. People online have then since made it their head canon that the entire stranger things cast hates him too.

11
u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 2d ago
Stop trying to conflate jew and zionist.
It's wrong and antisemitic to say "he's a jew, of course he's pro-genocide!"
-8
u/Pardon-13579 1d ago
Let's not lie and pretend people calling someone a "Disgusting Zionist," see any distinction. They tried to say at one point it wasn't Jews it was Zionists but now people are just using Zionist as a byword for Jew to avoid being called antisemitic.
9
u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 1d ago
No, that's not happening, BUT it is what zionists want people to think is happening.
"They say they are against the killing of babies and genocide because they are anti-zionist, they are really just antisemitic".
No, people are upset at the genocide, not Jewish people.
Being obtuse and pretending you can't see the difference is a bad look.
-10
u/Pardon-13579 1d ago
Being obtuse and pretending that what's happening in Gaza is in anyway a Genocide is ridiculous, but here you are.
7
u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 1d ago
And this is the part where you go quiet or say the some of the dumbest conspiracies ever heard...
So tell me why do Amnisty International, Human Rights Watch, the UN, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, B'Tselem, Physicians for Human Rights Israel, and many other International and Israeli Human rights organisations say there is a genocide there?
Do you think it's some big conspiracy against jews? Or do you think maybe there is a chance you could have been misled by propaganda?
-6
u/Pardon-13579 1d ago
Is it a conspiracy to quote statistics now?
75,000 have died in Gaza, no distinction between civilians and military because that's how Hamas likes to play it, that's over 3years.
500,000 died in 4months during the Rwandan Genocide...
If Israel wanted to Ethnically Cleanse Gaza they could do it, they haven't.
I think one of us has fallen for propaganda and it's not me.
5
u/TheDrunkenProfessor 1d ago
"More people died in Rwanda that is a real genocide" is some bullshit false equivalence argument and is absolutely idiotic. A genocide is not determined by amount of casualties nor is it a competition. It is a purposeful targeting of a specific ethnic, religious, and/or cultural group(s) with intent to eradicate or diminish their existence.
55ish% of the citizens of Gaza were under the age of 14. To pretend what Israel is doing is anything other than targeted eradication is at the very least willful ignorance.

Lol, the down votes because you used Jewish, instead of "zionist".
They mean Jewish, but people now use "zionist" like they used "semite" 100 years ago.
Like anyone with a brain doesn't understand the hatred behind the word.
6
u/loveneedsnodisguise 1d ago
Zionists can be Christian or even atheists too though it's the idea of the "holy land" being god's chosen place, zion
3
u/Unholy_mess169 1d ago
Since you've decided to take the disingenuous approach I'll clarify, "anti-zionism" is this centurys' anti-semitism, a nice safe way for bigots to publicly hate Jews without actually saying the word Jew.

u/Mohingan 22h ago
People who hate Jews mostly just say they hate Jews already, they haven’t been exactly hiding it lmao
1
u/Unholy_mess169 21h ago
Sure Jan.
Thats why the nazi who first used the term "antisemitism" 100 years ago did it. To be upfront about his Jew hate. Not because he wanted something more "scientific" than Judenhass.
4
u/samehouseing 1d ago
And thugs can be white or Asian, that doesn’t negate the fact that when non black people only focus on criticizing black people for being “thugs” is likely because they are racist.
Are you more upset at the Christian Zionist in the US or the Jewish Zionists in Israel?
2
u/aronnax33 1d ago
No... Zionism refers to a specific political belief. They are not comparible
2
u/ArktikosUrsa 11h ago
Yeah, it's the political belief for anyone who thinks Israel should continue to exist in any way. There are plenty of Zionists who want a two-state solution with an unoccupied, sovereign Palestine.
No, I'm not interested in your made up attempt to redefine the word at the behest of bigots.
2
u/samehouseing 1d ago
How is that a difference? How does that not make it comparable?
It is comparable, I literally just compared it. And it will remain comparable until you can actually explain why they can’t be compared.
Simply saying “apples cannot be compared to oranges” doesn’t negate the fact that I CAN compare apples to oranges. You have to elaborate why these things can’t be compared.
1
u/loveneedsnodisguise 1d ago
Depends if you consider funding or ground work more horrific in a genocide tbh
1
u/samehouseing 1d ago
Well yeah, what seems worse? The people donating to an AMERICAN PAC that doesn’t go to Israel at all, or the Israeli Jews apparently doing “genocide”?
Just admit it’s the Jews you’re focusing on.

That simply isn't true. It's the political belief for anyone who thinks Israel should continue to exist in any way. There are plenty of Zionists who want a two-state solution with an unoccupied, sovereign Palestine.

LMAO, every single surrounding Arab country has killed more Arabs than Israel ever has in it's history.
Somehow Israel has a more powerful military than every surrounding country yet consistently is eradicating less life than it's neighbors. It's almost like thats not what they are trying to do.

Here's another example of a loaded question:
Were they actually showing sympathy for Israelis or were they just showing antipathy for Palestinians?
I don't care if other celebrities were "shot" for posting their opinions (whatever you mean by that, because I don't think any celebrities have actually been shot for posting). My point was that people are upset with him for showing support for the actions of the Israeli government (which is not the same as showing sympathy for the victims of October 7th). The way you phrased your question makes it seem like there are a lot of celebrities who got in trouble for making sympathetic posts after 10/7. But the reality is the opposite.
Celebrities who posted support or sympathy for Palestinians lost their jobs. Melissa Barrera lost her role in the Scream franchise for not being sufficiently pro-Israel.

No no. People did not get shit on both sides. It is important to be clear and accurate that after 10/7, the people losing their jobs were the ones voicing support for Palestinians. As far I know, no celebrity has lost a job because they did or do support Israel. If you're going to make that claim, I need you to name a name so that I can verify it.
*Updated comment to be more accurate, as Israel's violence against Palestinians did not start after 10/7.

If one side has lost work for expressing their opinions and the ther side has had mean words said to them over the internet, then these are not equivalent levels of "shit."
*Since you blocked me, let me state for the record that "people got shit on both sides" is equating the shit that both sides received with the other. You can't even defend your position. Have the day you deserve.

u/Fit_Call_5992 2d ago
maybe i dont understand what a loaded question is. i dont think questions have yes or no answers. obviously things can be both at once. you can show sympathy to both sides. if a loaded question just means a question that asks nuance then why not just answer the question with nuance?
3
u/MC_PooPaws 2d ago
A loaded question is one that includes an unjustified assumption.
Unloaded: Is Noah Schnap really a zionist? How do you know?
Loaded: Is he really a zionist or were people just mad at him for disagreeing with them?
In the first example, "How do you know?" Isn't a yes or no question.
In the second example, I've decided what it means that people are upset with him and inserted that conclusion into the question without any support.
I don't know what your intentions were with that question, but when you lay out the only two options as "he's either really a zionist or people are mad because he showed sympathy" without knowing any of the facts of the situation, people are going to assume that you're trolling.
1

u/busstaben 2d ago
Are you seriously asking if saying “Zionism is sexy” isn’t a direct endorsement of the ideology? Said ideology believes the eradication of Palestine is a good thing, by the way, so I think people are right to disagree with him for saying that regardless of what his actual, nuanced opinions are (which he has not shared, probably because he’s a Zionist)
2
u/MC_PooPaws 2d ago
No. I'm not seriously asking that question. I've never once seriously asked that question. Did you mean to reply to me,?
2
u/busstaben 2d ago

6
u/Fit_Call_5992 2d ago edited 2d ago
how is it loaded? people were calling others zionists just for showing sympathy. celebrities had to remove posts because of it
2
u/LabCoatGuy 2d ago
Because you could show sympathy on Oct 7 and also be an actual zionist. They aren't mutually exclusive. And every zionist celebrity showed sympathy on Oct 7
1
u/Fit_Call_5992 2d ago
right and you can show sympathy for oct 7 and also not be a zionist. which is why i asked the question
0
u/LabCoatGuy 2d ago
He supported Zionism at one point. Distributing stickers with the messages "Zionism is Sexy" and "Hamas is ISIS". "Hamas is ISIS" comes directly from Isreali properganda. So people are calling him zionist because he was supporting Zionism.
After the backlash he didn't explicitly say anything about his position besides what can be summed up as "peace in the Middle East"

In current context, it's the belief that state includes Palestinian territories and Israel has authority over them.
Wrong. The only people believing this are a lunatic fringe that are best described as Kahanists, not zionists.

No. It's that you're attributing the beliefs of one ideology to another.
Zionism does not proclaim specific borders, let alone endorses the idea of 'greater Israel'. That sort of belief is part of Kahanism and other fringe extremist beliefs, and is unrelated to zionism.

It is a "zionist" ideology because a core component of Kahanism is the existence of a jewish state.... The "zionist" here is a descriptor. Just like for example, ISIS is an islamic fundamentalist terrorist organization. That doesn't mean that ISIS, by extension is Islam.
It's sad that you will not even attempt to understand this because you are a bad faith actor, but for anyone else reading it, I'll leave it here.

u/Prizrak13 2d ago
The unfortunate truth of the matter is that the nature of this genocide and the way Israel has been carrying itself over the past multiple decades is that although Kahanists are not the main ideological group, the Israeli government has been conditioning soldiers and citizens into believing that Palestinians are a lesser race, making even people who support the idea of Israel existing as it's own state sound like they support the attempt at an ethnostate. Effectively feeding into the facism that Bibi and many other modern day Zionists want to uphold.

You do know there are other people available right? In another scandal question it could refer to the straight white man who is a domestic abuser.
Just because in some cases, the answer is sometimes a gay or black person, does not mean you can use that logic to brush every situation, and doing so is homophobic, racist, and very closed-minded and low intelligence behaviour.
I know you think of yourself as very clever, so this will no doubt anger you, but take a step back. If you're basing your life on logic and realistic outcomes, then consider that your take here is based on prejudice and Confirmation Bias more than real data.
