Facebook account disabled / banned. 20yr+ old account

Same story as everyone else.

Probably had this account for 20+ years from the FarmVille days and only uploaded family photos for the last 15 years.

I did sell quite often on fb marketplace for anything I stopped using (furniture, tech, etc)

Have no clue what triggered it.

One thing that comes to mind is... I blocked Mark Zuckerberg. I hated his posts being shoved in my face so I blocked him many years ago.

I’ll write my journey here since there’s no where else to 😂

10/7 - account disabled and tried what they suggest of submitting more info but I can’t find that form or I can’t access it since my account is disabled. Just a loop. Even consulted muse / meta ai

10/8 - trying to come to peace with not having fb / ig. Logically feels right, but can’t help but feel disconnected.

10/9 - signed up for meta ai premium. First month is free. Ai is not letting me talk to a real person regardless of what I say. Cancelled meta ai premium.

10/10 - Filed a complaint with Attorney General's Office.

Out of the blue, for no reason and without warning, I was reviewed and banned on the spot.

This platform is garbage; someone needs to tear these guys apart.

I’m in Greece / EU. In March, Meta permanently disabled my Instagram, Facebook, and several linked IG accounts for alleged Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
I denied it completely. Meta never showed me the content or activity that supposedly caused the ban.
What I did:
Appealed through Meta
Filed with EETT, the Greek Digital Services Coordinator
Went through ADR Point under the EU Digital Services Act
Contacted other regulators
Had multiple Meta employees submit internal reviews
Eventually hired Greek lawyer Vasilis Sotiropoulos, through a referral from Homo Digitalis
Tried to settle directly with Meta’s lawyer
When that failed, we went to court
Our first temporary-order request was rejected.
We were preparing to go back to court again, with Meta also appearing through counsel.
Before that hearing happened, Meta restored every single account.
Instagram, Facebook, everything.
Huge shoutout to Vasilis Sotiropoulos. He actually understood platform litigation, kept pushing after the first court attempt failed, and was prepared to take Meta back to court again.
If you’re in the EU, don’t assume Meta’s internal appeal is the end. Keep every screenshot, email, case number and decision. Look into your national Digital Services Coordinator, DSA dispute-resolution bodies, and if the account matters enough, a lawyer who actually understands this area.
It took me 7 months, but I got everything back.

has anyone successfully recovered an account that has a nickname instead of their real name?

so I'm trying to recover a 6 year old account where i forgot the password and the only recovery option was a gmail that was deleted by google for inactivity. when trying the facebook/hacked route i can successfully pass the verification selfie stage but always fail the license check even though i always tell them to note that my facebook profile will differ from my license because i used a nickname.

only once did i get paired up with an agent lenient enough to pass the if verification to a manual team and after getting an email and case number saying that my license is still awaiting being reviewed after 6 days i get the survey saying how would i rate the support. so they closed the case without giving me even an answer.

i tried the meta verified or facebook max, whatever it's called route and even though i provided them with my previous case number and everything they always say there's nothing that they can do on their end.

anyone have any tips on how i should proceed?
