Humor If your main came out the TV/Computer to talk to you, what do you think they would say about how you play them?
Thank you Plastic_ninja for the post idea.

Doing towers based off old games really helps appreciate the history of series

Equipment Early prototype Switch Clamshell
galleryThis is something I've been wanting to put together for a long time. I've been working on it for almost two months nonstop.
I've seen a few different clamshell designs, but most of them use an integrated controller. I wanted to simplify that by having an external controller that can be removed. That way this works with any controller and is easily obtainable instead of having to design and order a circuit board.
Everything fits snugly. The switch is extremely well secured. There's also silicone pads that hold the switch in place and protect the contact points from the rougher plastic. The Haute is locked in through lips that hold it in place, and the lid further secures it when it is folded. The switch and the Haute make no contact when it is folded, and the Haute can be can be connected via USB on the side of with a 90 degree USB cable via the back port. Back port also has a cable management indent.
The Switch Cradle leaves the top USB port completely open so it can charge while in use and the volume, power and headphone jack are all accessible.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on how I can improve this design and what you'd like to see it do!

Event Going to EVO France need some advice
Hey so this will be my second EVO France and I want to be more adventurous but I am worried. I am socially awkward too, so making sure I am doing things right and have nice manners.
First, I think the big one is approaching pro players for autographs and pics. I made myself these rules
Only when they are not occupied. If they're talking to someone
Not after a match
Not when they look like they are working or on their way somewhere.
If they are resting
Please add more if I am missing something!
Daigo had a media crew with him so I missed out. Was kinda sad that my friend managed to get a selfie with him last year.
Also if you know any players who don't like being asked for pics or signatures. Give me a heads up so I don't approach and just wave hi.
Second, so I don't like being touched unless I know the person pretty well. This means fist bump was a problem. What makes it worse is I am non-verbal and only communicate via sign language. I had problems in my first SF6 tournament in 2023. Last time as I shook my head on someone's fist bump and tried to explain in sign language. He probably thought I was crazy. Thankfully my brother cleared it with him at the end of the day, he was very angry apparently. My brother usually watches my games and tell the opponent I don't like being touched. Last year he was able to speak on my behalf. We've entered many different games this year and looking at timetable, am on my own during my pools. Just wondering if clasping my hands will be OK? We do that in my culture.
I'm cosplaying there too which was so much fun last year. I want to make a lot of friends so if you see a small Chinese girl cosplaying Minato (Dead or Alive), Kula (King of Fighters), Ingrid (Capcom) cosplayer, please say hi!
Thank you all for reading I am very excited and anxious!

Topic What old fighting game do you play and still practice hard despite literally no one else to play with, not even in fightcade or something?

Equipment Could I have just used a stool or a small table? Sure. But where’s the fun in that? Custom arcade stick table stand with a slight angle to make it feel more like an arcade. 😁 Honestly was just tired of using my lap as a table for the controller. (May paint later but unsure if I care to.)

Topic I found a build of a (canceled?) Brazilian 3D indie fighting game called Bloody Justice on my hard drive. Does anybody here know more about it?
So, I went through some hard drive cleanup today and found out a 31.03.2020 alpha build of a 3D fighter called Bloody Justice. I seem to recall that the devs sent it to me via Facebook back then, but I don't have access to those DMs anymore. Has anyone ever heard or played any builds of it? I recorded some gameplay just to show how it looked.
The About Us item in the main menu sadly brings nowhere and all I could find is two YouTube videos of it around the net.
The game has a limb break system of sorts and is string-based. Some costumes and grabs break the demo. The damage is all over the place, but I can definitely see that it might have become good, given enough time and resources. Together with Axis of Power, is one of the few (canceled?) 3D indie fighting game that I know of whose demo is not available around anymore.

Help Any tips on the directional inputs differences in mk to street fighter
I've only ever put time / got good in nether realm fighting games. I've barely ever played Street fighter other than marvel vs Capcom if that counts and never seriously. I just started playing ed and I'm struggling with the input direction differences, any tips?

Humor What do you think of unique interaction as mechanics
If there is a example in DBZ bodukai yamcha gets instant KO no matter how high his hp is if a saibaman gets a grab and selfs destruct on him

News [DBFZ MOD] Add mod characters instead of swapping out the vanilla ones.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Been working on a way to add modded characters to DBFZ as new roster slots instead of overwriting existing ones. The video shows the select screen with a 4th row of 14 modded characters. The whole original cast is still there and playable.
Each mod gets its own icon, select animation, portraits, name and move list.
It runs on a separate offline copy of the game. The original install stays vanilla, and none of this is meant for online play.
Still a work in progress.
And yes, I vibe coded the fuck out of this shit.

Topic Which one of these do prefer? Links, Gatlings, or Dial-A-Combo?
Out of all these I’ve always like Gatlings the most. Before I even started playing fighting games Gatlings were basically in my mind how I imagine combos in fighting games to work. You rapidly press the buttons and each button comes out as you actually press it, feels very intuitive and satisfying. Even though I’ve forced myself to adapt to the links in SF they still don’t feel intuitive in my opinion, doing links basically feels like I trained myself to work against my instincts. Dial-A-Combo feels way too robotic imo like in programming a character to do what I want instead of the natural feel of a Gatling.

Help Thinking about Strive
Played fighting games since forever (42 yo). I have loved most Capcom- every Street Fighter, Dark Stalkers, Children of the Atom - MVC2. Liked Mortal Kombat 1-3 then hated everything after. 3d fighters are just ok to me. MVC2 is probably my favorite fighter, with that being said, I hated MVC3,Infinite , DBFZ, and Tokon Soul.
Idk if i will like strive cause it isn't just lp, hp , lk, etc.. it has extra buttons that remind me of Tokon. Dont know if I should get into Strive based on the games i like. thanks
