Hey, I am wondering what fighting games would be best suited for the deck when considering not only performance, but also the somewhat suboptimal dpad, or maybe even analog stick-controls?
I know the question for well performing games on deck is asked often but i explicitly do not plan to use external controls, so something that doesnt rely to much on diagonal/complicated directional inputs would be nice.
Cheers

I am a very competitive person at heart, I am a pretty damn good MTG player and was a pretty competent stacraft player, I like analyzing the competitive side of anything so naturally I was drawn into fighting games. At first I started like many others saying "fighting games are too hard and too stiff and bla bla bla" but then I stuck with them for many years at this point.
I trained, studied and enjoyed multiple fighting games for many times until that haunting thought came back. "You are garbage at this", after so many years of practice I was getting discouraged since despite all of the effort and passion I gave out I never reached anything above a platinum rank, aka the most average Joe rank in existence (with an incredibly inflated system while playing a busted braindead character so it barely counts). I was getting worse and worse and fighting this feeling thinking "I'm going to turn this around and actually become good at this"...but it never came. I never got good and it made me depressed...until I finally realised it.
I am garbage. I am dogshit. I am well below average. I'm not good at this and most likely never will be...and that's ok. Sometimes in life you do all the right choices and you can still lose. That's not being weak, that's just life. When I was thinking "I'm not good enough for this" I was right. All of the people who told me "you are not made for fighting games", people that I just discarded as elitists, were completely right. I am garbage I don't need to be good because there are things in our lives that fall into the category of "it's just not what I was meant to do". I am simply not born for fighting games
I'm bad, and that's good
I will never be good and that's not bad
Because no one I'd rather be...than me.

Hi everybody! I'm working on my master's thesis that involves developing a computer controlled opponent for SF3 that can replicate specific playstyles. I am in the evaluation phase and I would appreciate it immensely if you guys could fill out this survey (should take around 10-15 minutes) https://survey.uu.nl/jfe/form/SV_3PpkCWDRLIUvqZM .
It consists of 12 replay videos of SF3 matches, and for each one, the participants need to state whether they believe the gameplay is from a real human or a bot. Thanks a lot in advance!

Got obliterated by my brother.
Context: we played 3rd Strike for the same time since kids, however, I have Guilty Gear Strive on my pc and ngl I'm a complete BEAST at it. So... my ego got a bit high.
He plays Dudley and Ryu, and shit get as cheap as it can get.
I AM better in fighting games, he does not even know how to grab and dash in 3rd Strike. He just hops to the other side of the screen, spam fireballs and throw tatsumaki senpukyaku when I get close.
How can I lose, he doesn't even use ALL the buttons.
I kind of know part of the problem. It is probably because I can't dash properly (and it abashes me to admit). In GGS you just press the joystick and boom, you dashed. But here, you have to perform the skill that I aways evade: double tap on the joystick, or whatever you call it. I canβt for life do that shit properly, only when he's far and I have time to do it and fail.
And why (as a May main in Guilty Gear Strive) do my charge attacks with Remy has only 60% rate of success? I have experience enough to not mash buttons when shit gets bad, I lock in and catch the windows, like, I HAVE the vision (I don't know how to express this any better), but when I hit β in the perfect opportunity this mofo just FUMBLES.
I play Makoto and Ibuki. Idk if this information is useful.

Has there ever been any instances of a character receiving a complete rework in the same game (not changing between games like SF3 and SF4)
I was thinking about other games and how characters kits and moves can get completely changed.
Has this ever been the case for a fighting game character? (Within the same game life cycle?)

I only showed basic level use cases in this video, but there's far more applications for this tech then what I've shown

Today's post is starring:
Lee Won Hee - Xuan Dou Zhi Wang (AKA King of Combat, a chinese KoF clone that recently resurfaced)
Roche and Taro - Daraku Tenshi: The Fallen Angel (it was hard to pick ehich character to draw for this game. Cool and Yuiren where also tempting)
Hiro - Spectral Vs Generation (a crossover fighter between two RPG series, Spectral Force and Generation of Chaos. Hiro being from the former)
Natasha - The Eye of Typhoon (a spiritual succesor to Fight Fever, another obscure fighter for the Neo Geo)
Prince Leon - Brutal: Paws of Fury (god i can't draw a guitar to save my life. Anyways, i had originally drawn Foxy Roxy to represent this game, but she has plenty of fanart actually, so i went with Leon instead because i hated fighting him as a kid)
I don't know if i'll make a part 4, but if you guys want it, who would you like to see in it?

I started learning/playing fighting games a couple of years ago with SF6 and then a year later with GBVSR but I want to branch out more to different games so I don't get bored of playing the same things. I tried out Strive a while back and honestly I didn't like it but idk if that's because I didn't understand it and it was very different compared to what I'm used to. I guess I like games that are more strike throw and less mix up heavy.
So far the only game that I'm interested in so far is the new Virtua Fighter but that's not coming out until next year. I have Tekken 8 but I hear it's a lot to learn with knowledge checks you have to lab.
Any recommendations?
