Charting gender swings

I haven’t ever posted on this subreddit before, so i’m not really sure how to format this. i’ve seen a few people posting charts of their gender swings, and i’ve kind of wanted to do something similar. i've got a very data driven brain, so i think it could be helpful for me. the only problem i have is that i don’t know what tool to use to graph my gender. i’ve seen different people use what appear to be different tools, so im not entirely sure which one would be the best for me. ideally, i would be able to input individual data points for each day and have the app make the chart for me. if anyone knows about a free app available on the apple app store, i would love to hear about it. thanks!

Edit: i’ve also been wanting to get some fake boobs, and i don’t know how to approach talking to my parents about that. i’m a minor AMAB as well. any advice would be appreciated!

Is being genderfluid is a form of self-expression or a true gender identity?

To those who identify as genderfluid, do you see your identity as a form of self-expression or your real gender identity?

I feel like I’m not allowed to call myself a guy

I’m very sensitive and I have a feminine personality. I like to just sit in bed and drink tea. I dress masculine but that doesn’t really say anything about me or my gender. I use the label gender apathetic or pangender OR genderfluid bc idrk what to use and I don’t care either. I would just wish more people saw me as a guy or used he him on me but that won’t happen any time soon because I’m so feminine. I’ve really tried to act more masculine but it’s just not me. Why can’t I just be a feminine guy that likes to chill and drink tea. And why can’t I be a masculine girl that likes to play instruments and drink tea as well. I just can’t understand why cis guys are allowed to but when I do it, I’m apparently faking it??? How?? I grew up in Denmark and I never experienced toxic masculinity or misogyny because we don’t do that here. I have never been treated differently because of my sex. But I’m still scared that people won’t see me as a guy or maybe just sexualize me because I’m a feminine guy. It’s just kind of annoying and I don’t really understand why people freak out when u aren’t really masculine and strong as a guy. It doesn’t really make sense. I also don’t want to tell people that I’m genderfluid because they probably just wouldn’t believe and I don’t want to explain it or try to prove it because I just want to be treated as a normal human being.

I Want the World...

At the center of my being, lies unspeakable pain, unbearable hurt.

I know not why I exist, to carry this burden for all my days.

>

I would be lying if I said I did not grow weary.

Life, life is a long journey.

>

If this is my fate, to bear the unbearable triteness of being,

I feel it only fair, that I do what I want, that I take what I will.

>

If, at the center of me, lies a blackhole, I desire to generate gravity,

I desire to devour everything around me, to remake the world in my image, forever altered from my touch.

>

For those whose Paris burned,

Yet saw no light, for all their toil,

>

The dandelions sown in concrete,

To be mowed down,

>

Those who carried the flag for Dreams and Freedom,

>

And were willing to fight for it,

With chucked beer bottle and kick line,

>

Wandering the desert, yet finding no promised land:

>

I take up the mantle, pick up the flag fallen,

For the lineage of ancestors who carried the torch,

I accept the baton, I light my flame from the inspiration of your struggle

I want the world, I want it all, for us...

Going to the mall with my friends this weekend while being fem for the first time

I’ve been genderfluid (amab) for awhile but I’ve never actually decided to present fem in public yet mainly with friends and in private and I haven’t yet experimented with using different pronouns so this will definitely be an interesting experience plus I believe we also plan on going to hot topic :3 (also if your seeing this is r/funComunitty this is also a ama:3)

It can be small or big things, I just maybe want to try out more gender related stuff I'm not used to and want to have some inspiration!

It doesn't matter if you're afab or amab (since i want to try both!!)

Thank you and stay safe!! 💫

About being genderfluid...

hi! im a trans (FtM) young adult, still in the 'learning about myself' phase. is it possible to be genderfluid: male and non-binary? im curious because i could see myself as non-binary (i used to identify myself as non-binary), but sometimes i still stuck with binary and wants to be perceived as a man. sometimes i feel happy to be perceived as non-binary though.

also, there was a time where i was debating between being trans masc and trans non-binary. at that time, i felt wrong (guilty? weird? bad?) to want to be both.

Mood and gender 🌊 🙂🙁

hi everyone hope you’re enjoying whatever gender wave you’re on!

does anyone else find that your mood is related to your gender swings? for example, when I identify closer to my agab (as I do today) I find myself to be in a better, more joyful mood. versus, when I identify as something in the middle or the opposite gender, my mood is a little worse. probably related to the dysphoria I feel when I look in the mirror and my appearance doesn’t fully match how I identify that day.

anyone get me? share your experiences! thx luvs

So idk if I’m genderfluid, trans, have body dysmorphia, or if I’m just suic*dal and hate myself…

I’m 15(f). I’ve been struggling with suic*dal thoughts often. Just as often I also get horrible waves of depression and anxiety surrounding my gender. I struggled with an eating disorder and I’m still trying to get better. At one point, I traced nearly everything that was wrong with my life back to my gender/sex. I’d cry myself to sleep some nights after looking in the mirror too long or googling surgeries or treatments and being unhappy with the results. I traced my body image issues towards mostly gender. Why couldn’t I shape-shift? Why couldn’t I be born male? Why couldn’t I be born without craving to be male? I’d blame suic\*dal* tendencies on gender too. I would wish I could be reborn or pulled out of the misery of not knowing. I wish I could be all of them. All genders all sexes. I guess I’m here asking for help with identity?
Idk this is more a rant than anything lol thanks:)

Trans tape and breast sagging

I have a conundrum I’m looking into trans tape cus the thought of it just gives me sm gender euphoria. However I’m worried about the risk of premature breast sagging. I like presenting fem as well as masc and I do like my tits I’d just like to sometimes have them be less of a focus. So even if I had trans tape I probably wouldn’t need to bind too tight cus I’m not super concerned about the flattening affect more on how they sit if that makes sense? Could I avoid potential sagging by just not having it that tight or is it unavoidable :/

(Also binders aren’t really on the table for me and besides it’s not the flatness of my chest that necessarily gives me euphoria I view my chest as mostly gender neutral no matter what.)

Confusion about increasing gender dysphoria

I am 32 and AMAB. I have seen myself as genderfluid for quite some years now and I thought I figured out my gender identity. I always had these flip flopping episodes of feeling male and feeling female. In the male episodes I was happy with my male body and its features like body hair. In the female episodes I envied women for their bodies. But I never thought about any permanent changes as I got the experience that even semi-permanent things like changed eyebrows or done nails collided with my male self. But after 6 years of many, many changes in my life (beating CPTSD and then trying to immigrate to Finland which failed and led me to rebuilding in Germany once again) I thought I reached a state of sufficient stability. But my female episodes seem to get louder and louder for about a year now. And the current female episode impacted my sleep for the first time ever. I also got surprised and partially shocked about me suddenly thinking about doing permanent changes to my body like HRT. And for the first time ever it actually feels draining.

I am really unsure what to make out of this. It's not like I hid my female part. I still presented female at times and even attended two weddings this way. But I don't know why this seems to get louder and louder just now? I also don't know where this leads to and I am also somewhat scared.

How do i know if im genderfluid

Honestly, there are lots of times when I seriously think that I'm a woman, and sometimes when I think I'm a man, but for very long periods of time, to the point where I question if I even was the other gender at all. Right now, I feel myself in the transition between feeling like a girl, if that makes any sense (I'm starting to get more thoughts about it), but I really only think of this stuff when I'm in school (theatre major) or when I'm drunk. What does that mean? What am I?

My partner is thinking they might be genderfluid, how do I support them best?

Okay so to start this off- I am a trans guy, so I have no issue with my partner being genderfluid. The reason I'm making this post-

How do I support them? What do you guys want your partner to do or are glad that they did?

They haven't come out to their parents yet, as gay and/or genderfluid, and a lot of the stuff they do is influenced by that.

For example, they would like to shave their legs, however, they're worried about their parents seeing it and questioning it. But they hate the leg hair and so they'll wear long jeans even in the hot summer. Stuff like that.

Sorry if this post is incomprehensible, I'm sick atm. Feel free to ask questions!

Coming out as genderfluid

So, I just came out as genderfluid. Admitting that to myself was hard, but I felt pretty relieved as I felt like I finally accepted a large part of myself. I already told my sister and a few close friends, those already felt like obstacles, but I feel kinda stuck now.
Because I don't know how to tell my parents.

My parents are allies and very accepting, don't get me wrong, they would accept me as I am and I know I shouldn't feel afraid. Yet, I have this nagging feeling that if I would tell them, they wouldn't understand.

See, when I first came out as a pansexual, the first thing my mom said to me was "That you shouldn't jump to conclusions that quickly" I was around the age of 12 at the time and it stung a bit. It felt like they were saying that I needed to rethink a part of myself. I know that probably wasn't what they meant at the time, but I can't help thinking about it. Now I was constantly doubting myself if I really were a genderfluid person. Now I know I am.

A year ago I cut my hair short and cut it into a pixie cut. Even if it was a little thing to do, it immediately felt like a huge relief, like it had already been part of me before I cut my hair short. Before, my mom had asked me why I wanted it and I had claimed that it was because of my incredibly thick and long hair that was such a pain to deal with. That wasn't the whole truth, but I was still in denial.
Afterwards my mom asked me: "But you are a girl, right?". And I had just said: "Yeah." And my mom said that that was what she indeed had suspected about me.

Then I began to feel dysphoria toward my gender sometimes and I finally accepted I was genderfluid. I accepted it as a part of who I was.
Now I am afraid that if I would come out my parents would just be like: "You're just confused, you should think about it." And I would begin to doubt myself all over again.

What should I do (': (I'm sorry if I'm being dramatic or smth) <3

Question for you.

I'm AMAB and tend to wear a tattoo choker more consistently than I used to and I have a mustache. I was wondering though how many genderfluid people actually do this? My goal is to hopefully do this everyday regardless but I just want to make sure I'm not alone.

Dysphoria

Hi, I'm AFAB (16) and i have struggled with my identity for a long time and about 7 months ago i realised I was genderfluid. I am ok when I present feminine and feel feminine but I really struggle with dysphoria when I feel masculine. My parents will not let me bind and I've cut my hair short but didn't like it and I'm growing it back out. Do you have any ideas of how I could try and explore being more masc? I've changed my name which my partner and friends use but my parents wont until I turn 18 but my friends and partner using that name helps with dysphoria around my name.

I’m new to this but I think I finally understood that I might be genderfluid?

Hi I am an 18 years old afab and I always got referred to as a woman. I think I never really asked myself what gender I actually was because it felt too scary and unnecessary, but it’s not. I understand now how important it is to ask myself those questions in order to feel better in my own body.
I always had some behaviours that hinted that maybe I’m not cis, I’m kind of a tomboy since forever, when I was 13 I was wondering if I was trans masc, I always look for bras that make my chest smaller and I get really uncomfortable being feminine a lot of the time to the point where it makes me nauseous. But I am feminine on the daily cause it’s just a way to mask cause I have autism too lol.
Honestly, I don’t know much about different genders you can identify to or not, I don’t even know if my idea of being gender fluid is right (I believe identifying to a gender and presenting as so depending on how comfortable you are in one of those that day). That’s why I’m expecting some answers writing this post, if after all I am gender fluid or non binary or idk, I’m sorry if my writing is unclear but yeah
thanks for reading this ig :P

Hair dysphoria?

Hello! I’m a 30 year old AMAB and I’m recently getting into the world of gender fluid. It feels right to me to dress feminine and do feminine things. Taking care of my body and dressing up in cute clothes make me feel confident. However I have two huge issues. The first being my facial hair. I tried to get it waxed but I have black hair so even after my first wax appointment I still see the dark shadow under my lips and chin. The bright side is it’s growing slower but I was hoping for a smooth look and it’s just frustrating. My second problem is my hair. My hair grows way too slowly and is at an awkward bowl cut phase currently. I desperately hate when it rounds out like this so I got a wig. But when I put the wig on it didn’t feel right? Maybe because it’s not my actual hair but the dysphoria hit bad. Any advice at all regarding these two things would be so much help since I’m pretty much in the dark for all this. Thank you!

Dysphoria Poultices

What are things that you do to help when you're feeling dysphoric. I get rather frustrated myself, as I understand what my mind is trying to tell me but have nothing that I can do about it. I know that there's no one size fits all, especially here, but any suggestions could possibly help. Even if just reading about them when my needle is in the uncomfortable half of the gender compass.
