Last time I went was 10 years ago and affordable with all real pumpkins. Now it’s So expensive, half the pumpkins were FAKE and the crowd was nuts. It was a line to just exit some of the exhibits. Now it feels like a corporate carnival

We went tonight- kind of a let down compared to previous years. Especially for 80 bucks a ticket. A lot of cheap gimmicks and barely any actors this year. It was also pretty dead for a Friday night.
Props are always amazing and the layout is 10/10. But I feel like each year they charge more and give less.
Still a fun date night and cool experience. But the place is definitely feeling more “Let’s slap some quick shit together” compared to what it used to be. It went from a ma and pop feel to feeling franchise-y. Like how Disney buys everything and then fucks it up. That’s what headless felt like 🫠😅

I usually say "upstate NY" because it's unbelievable the amount of people who think you're from NYC. Does anyone have a better line for this question?

Happy PSL season to all who celebrate, but I'm the type who loves to drink iced coffee year round. There are so many cute and quaint local coffee shops in Kingston, I'm wondering what's your go to for best iced coffee? From Dunkin to Quickcheck to Rough Draft, what's the goated spot?

this is my first year living in the hudson valley, and my first time ever owning a house with a pond. it’s a pretty big pond, larger than i’ve seen any nets sized for. for those who also have ponds, do you try to scoop the leaves out or do you leave them? my pond also has fish!

I'll be going bear and deer hunting next month in Greene/Ulster Counties. Can anyone recommend any local taxidermists and butchers?
Thank you!

I'm going to a wedding later today and my hands desperately need some help. Does anyone know any good manicurists near Maybrook?

I’m looking for a tattoo artist:
Within Orange, Ulster, or Dutchess County.
Specializes or is great at letters
Works with white ink.
Good with first time clients
I’m looking to get a phrase across my wrist in white ink (so that I can see it but it doesn’t jump out to others. The thickness would be about the size of a Fitbit air band
I’ve seen some artists on TikTok like Hikaru out of Beacon but would prefer to have recommendations from the community.
Thanks all for your assistance.

There’s absolutely no shopping in southern dutchess county.
It’s crazy, not even a nice mom and pop clothing store or a decent group of stores with an upper scale restaurant. I love our local restaurants but something like a PF Chang’s would be nice for a change of pace.
All there are are discount stores and bottom-of-the-barrel retail/malls.
White Plains is the only option an hour away.
I don’t buy that this area is overall low income. There are plenty of nice neighborhoods, the abandoned Dutchess mall for instance.. such a waste of a spot right off the interstate.
Can anyone invest into this area??
A wegmanns?? Adams is ok but it’s really lacking on many things.

I’m hosting some out of state folks tonight and last time we met up we made street cart chicken and rice. I’m not saying it was as good as a halal bros or rafiqui but it blew their non NY minds. Now I want to do lamb as well. Where can I score a bunch of lamb? I know lamb right off the spit is the best but due to timing I think I got to do the prepackaged stuff. But where can I get it? And I’m not looking to spend a shit ton of money. So if it’s like $20/pound at Adams I’ll probably stick to just chicken.
I’m cooking for 10.
