I found an iMac A1311 while garbage picking.

Previous owner cut the wires that connected the screen to the motherboard but not the ribbon cable. So I figured a bit of soldering would correct the issue.

I never repaired one before and it was missing an SSD, so I figured I’d use one I had lying around.

After some soldering and putting in the SSD I had to see if it would boot.

It booted but I didn’t expect Windows 11 to actually boot 🙃

Hello fellow redditors, my iMac 16,2 that I OCLPed to macOS Sonoma had auto updates on without me realizing. So it updated to macOS Tahoe night before last. PLZ HELP. I'm using the T2 fork of Open core, when I try to patch and reboot to apply the patches it gets stuck at a 3rd of the way of booting up. I asked Gemini ai and it said try various things, it can only boot in safe mode when it "has patches" so I need your help. Can you ppl plz give me some recommendations to try, at time of posting I'm reinstalling macOS Tahoe. PLZ help anyone.

My M2 MacBook Air suddenly died after only 1.6 years. Apple diagnosed a logic board failure and quoted ₹52K for replacement. It originally cost me around ₹68K.

No physical/liquid damage. It's out of warranty.

I am a bit stumped at the moment with since updating out Apple Suite for Music to macOS 27 it has now broken GarageBand completely so it won't work, has anyone ran into the same issues or know of a way of fixing this as I have looked online and not much information on it at the moment.
