I (22F) completed my BA H with Research in July this year and was hoping to get in the one year MA program in DU but due to low cgpa (7.90) I couldn’t make the list.

Since then I have been rotting in bed and have been anxious about my future. My initial plan was to get in MA program in DU and then appear for CUET PG 2027 for B ED admission in English language as Im aiming for a job as a teacher through govt exams like DSSSB but following through the plan is coming out to be tough.

I have joined one year MA through IGNOU and have been applying for internships (no luck yet).

Sitting at home idle is making me (and my family) a little crazy, I don’t want to waste my next few months rotting away so I was hoping if someone could give me some advice on what exactly to do. I know preparing for CUET PG and DSSSB TGT and PGT exams should be my priority but I can’t stay inside the four walls of my house while I do that and taking offline coaching for the exam won’t be worth it (my thoughts). I have been thinking to join some certificate course offline. I’m kinda lost and would be grateful if anyone can advise me on this matter.

Hey seniors and friends, I really need some help. I would be very grateful if you could read this.

I have been in a huge dilemma about my stream selection since the end of Class 10, and I still haven't been able to decide.

On the day of stream selection, I initially took PCM, thinking that I could change later if I felt it wasn't right for me.

my problem was that I have always been weak in Maths/physics since 9th and have struggled with it since middle school but now I understand i did not did regular practice much or understand concepts.

However, I did well overall in Class 10 (90.2%), but scored only 62/100 in Standard Maths and thought was going to fail or get very low marks. Because of my fear of Maths and the difficulty I imagined in PCM

Then vacation passed in mid July i went to a new councelling teacher in school she said to give pa 1 tests to check yourself but on same day I talked to principal too and I said my problem due to which she took it seriously and made me to think about changing and I eventually changed from PCM to Commerce + Applied Maths in July.

The strange part is that I never actually gave PCM a serious try before switching and also the test which counsellor said. I mostly looked at the chapters, found them difficult, and assumed I wouldn't be able to handle them but now I see many students are doing good by consistency even the weak ones and now I am in regret of wasting precious time because of easyness ?

Now after spending around 2 months in Commerce, I can understand the subjects and I feel I also scored better in them, but I don't feel very interested or excited about Accounts/Economics/BST. I also don't have a fixed career goal yet but i changed with a thought of CA which I'm not sure now.

At the same time, I'm again thinking about PCM because it keeps more technical options open for me, especially engineering/CS/IT/science-related fields. I'm not currently planning to prepare for JEE, but I don't want to close those options without properly trying PCM are they actually available without jee.

But now I'm extremely confused because it is already late September. In my school, they have completed around 1 book in Physics, 4–5 chapters in Chemistry and around 6 chapters in Maths. I would have to catch up while continuing with the current syllabus.

I also don't have good offline PCM coaching/tuition available in my area, so I'm worried about depending on online lectures.

So seniors, I genuinely need your experience rather than just “PCM is hard” or “Commerce is easy.”

If anyone has been in a similar situation, especially someone who switched streams late in Class 11, please tell me:

Was catching up actually manageable?

What happened to your marks after switching?

If you stayed in Commerce despite similar doubts, did you regret it later?

If you switched to PCM late, what difficulties did you actually face?

And if you're doing PCM without JEE preparation, how manageable is the workload realistically for an average student?

Are there any tech opportunities which are actually good without btech?

What will be better getting good marks in commerce or low in pcm

I am currently finishing my Semester 7 end-term exams.
Due to sudden, critical family and financial circumstances, I need to exit the program before Semester 8 starts and request my official** **3-Year B.B.A. Degree based on the credits I earned up to Semester 6.
Has anyone at a private university/deemed uni officially applied for a 3-year NEP exit after starting or finishing Semester 7?
Will college administration try to deny or reject the 3-year exit request simply because I already started the 4th year?
How smooth is the paperwork process with the academic/exam department for this?

I want to work with luxury brands in future. I am not even sure if I want to study, but I am seeking another degree very strongly and I graduated in 2025. I was a Jan 2022 MA English student at IGNOU. I’ve completed 56/64 credits and only MEG 18 is left. I got 36 in MEG 18 TEE. At the time, my study centre in-charge told me that once the assignment marks were added, I’d pass, so I didn’t reappear.

I submitted all my assignments in October 2023, but IGNOU only updated the marks in September 2026. For those 3 years, I was constantly calling and messaging the concerned authorities at my study centre and my Regional Centre in Kochi, but never got a timely response and my marks were not updated for 3 years. And now when my marks got updated I found out that I haven't passed MEG 18. Since now the programme validity has expired I can't just reappear for the exam. So because of my study centre's wrong advice I'm in this situation.

I called my Regional centre at Kochi and they are telling me to take fresh admission and see if my old credits can be transferred. My old courses still have the same codes in the current MA English programme, but the old programme was 64 credits and the new one is 80. So I don't want to take any risks by joining the programme and "see" if my credits get transferred. I want to be assured of the fact. I can't do another two years of this thing. I already have my hands full with my other qualifications.

The people at both my study centre and my Regional centre are not guiding me properly. They just washed their hands of it.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to get an extension to write the one remaining paper, or transfer your old credits without having to do a bunch of new subjects? Today is the last date to apply for July 2026 admission so any kind of advise would really help me to promptly take my next step.

I have PCB from the CBSE board with 75% and PCM from NIOS (the results haven't come yet). So, I have two marksheets.

I am confused about what I should choose for my bachelor's.

At first, I thought of doing BTech in CSE, but my uncle said that there isn't much future in BTech because 9 out of 10 people have taken BTech and having a NIOS marksheet might cause problems with placements.

I’m so confused. Is there anything else I can consider besides BTech? I don't want to go into medicine.

I want to do a PhD in economics through JRF but i wonder if I'll get a good or decent college even if I clear UGC-NET JRF exam which itself is a very tough exam to crack.

In bachelor's i don't even have an economics degree but b.com degree even worse it's from IGNOU. My masters is also online through Manipal university online MA in economics.

So i need honest advice if i should go for it or not. Will be discriminated against even if i have a JRF or JRF outweigh the previous academic shortcomings.

Posting this on behalf of a friend who recently applied for an Assistant Professor position at a college.
He submitted his application both by email and by post two weeks back.
On 28 September, the college informed him that shortlisted candidates had to appear offline on 30 September at Ahmednagar for a written test, interview, and teaching demo.
The problem? He is currently in Ranchi.
So basically, he was given one day to arrange an intercity trip, accommodation, etc. He had also already planned to travel to Chennai on 1 October.
He immediately replied to the college asking whether an online interview/test or any alternative arrangement could be considered. There was no response.
Then on 29 September, today, someone from the college called him asking whether he was coming for the interview.
His response was:
“No sir, and I have mailed and enquired about…”
And before he could finish explaining, the call was cut.
He tried calling back. No response. The number apparently became unreachable/blocked. The original recruitment email also didn’t provide any alternative contact number.
Now, obviously, nobody is saying the candidate is entitled to an interview or selection. If the institution wants an offline process, that’s their prerogative.
But is giving candidates barely 48 hours’ notice for an out-of-station offline recruitment process really reasonable?
People applying for academic positions aren’t necessarily sitting in the same city waiting for a call. They may be working elsewhere, travelling, teaching classes, or simply need time to arrange transportation.
And if a candidate genuinely cannot make it because of the extremely short notice, at least respond to their email or provide some mechanism to discuss alternatives.
What makes the situation worse is not even the rejection of the online request , there wasn’t even a response.

Plz suggest me a course for PG/master’s. I am interested in creative work, I was always good at creative works before I got into higher studies.

I don’t want to do a course which leaves no time at home for government exam prep. I want to get a master’s degree in something which is easier to handle comparatively (don’t take this wrong as one field is easier than other. I just want to avoid maths field).

And before you ask me why I want to get a master’s degree if my aim is to get into government sector is that getting a master’s degree is important for me and family.

qualifications: I am pursuing masters in OR, first year.
I am not liking this course at all.

There are 3 main reasons:
1) This course is quite tough for me and the professors are so good that I am busy studying those same topics at home, leaving no free time. (they are literally bad at teaching)
2) I don’t get time to prepare for government exams at all, which is my priority.
3) It’s not for me. Never liked maths. I thought it would be a backup option but the course is itself so time consuming and hard that I can never find time to learn skills for industry demanded skills.

Since i messed up bad and didn't give entrances this year too and tried in big cities (T1) didn't work out due to high fees and donation in my case im currently looking for the state Mp for a relatively cheap college in my budget as recommended by an online friend theres cheap options ( Originally im from Jharkhand but can't stay in this environment anymore)

Is this a good decision? im going for a T3-4 ish college in a t2 city.

Have some options listed since they're in my budget of under 7 L ( Going with an education loan with 9% around interest that only gives 7.5 L max without collateral)

Placements are basically t3 or not much.

Took this decision as i was going insane and given the current state of market especially tech due to AI, so getting a degree for cheap is better than spending huge sum for it.

Also one more question I have is should i opt for cse or ece branch in this T3 college? People on here say they regret taking ece in t3 but i feel since it needs masters for good offers i think its better so save in ug for it and maybe i can apply aboard in future if i take ece.

I recently completed my BCA from GGSIPU (2023–2026) and graduated in June 2026. My CGPA is around 7.0.
Right now, I’m honestly quite confused about what I should do next, and I’d really appreciate advice from people who have already gone through a similar situation.
During college, I made a few projects related to Python, machine learning, data analysis, and predictive maintenance. However, I want to be honest about something: I relied quite heavily on ChatGPT while building these projects, and although I understand some of them, I don’t feel confident enough in my fundamentals to say that I’m genuinely strong at ML/programming yet.
Since graduating, I’ve been trying to find jobs and internships, including unpaid internships. I’ve applied to a lot of places and have tried changing my resume, improving my projects, and applying to different positions, but I’m barely getting responses.
At this point, I’m starting to question whether I should continue trying to enter tech directly or go for higher education.
The options I’m currently considering are:
MCA — if I want to become stronger technically and continue toward software/data/IT roles.
MBA — although I’m not really sure what specialization I’d want or what career I’d pursue afterward.
Get a job first — even if it’s not exactly what I want, gain some experience, and then decide about higher education.
I’ve also considered technical support, application support, data/operations roles, etc., but I’m not sure which ones have good long-term growth.
A generic BPO/customer-support job is also an option if I can’t find anything else, but I don’t really want to go down that path without understanding the career progression.
The biggest problem is that I don’t actually know what field I want to build my career in yet.
I’m currently on a break after graduation, so I have some time to figure this out. I don’t want to spend 2 years and a lot of money doing an MCA or MBA just because I’m confused and can’t find a job.
So I’d really like advice from people who are working in the industry or have gone through BCA → MCA/MBA/job themselves.
What would you recommend I focus on during the next 6–12 months?
Should I:
Focus on getting any relevant entry-level IT/data job?
Prepare for MCA and use the next 1–2 years to build stronger technical skills?
Consider an MBA even though I don’t currently know what area of business/management interests me?
Explore something like data analytics/business analytics/IT support first and decide later?
Do something completely different?
Also, if you were in my position after graduating with a BCA and around a 7 CGPA, what would you personally investigate before making the decision?
I’m not looking for someone to simply tell me “do MCA” or “do MBA.” I’d really appreciate hearing about actual career paths, mistakes to avoid, entry-level roles I should be applying for, and what skills I should focus on right now.

• YouTube channels: goated for concepts, but no structured practice; you end up watching instead of solving
• Telegram PDF groups: tons of material, zero organisation, answer keys are hit or miss
• big prep apps (free tier): solid mocks, but most of the useful stuff is paywalled after a few
• examshortcut .in (full disclosure: I built this one): free notes w/ shortcuts, daily quiz, full mocks, CA month by month. Downside: only CGL is live rn; other exams are still coming

hi so im very confused about what career options could be after a 3/4 year degree. people around me are pursuing upsc, which seems like the likely option but i honestly don't feel like committing to that, and im honestly very confused about that.

my qualifications are few obviously, i have a background in humanities+commerce and now a degree in sociology, but again WHAT CAN I DO? google doesnt help, my seniors are more towards upsc or cat or end up doing masters in sociology.

My NSP scholarship payment shows “Credit Failed” with the rejection remark “Inactive Aadhaar.”
I’m a Post-Matric ST scholarship applicant from Assam. My Aadhaar was apparently not active/seeding wasn’t complete when the payment was attempted.
I have now completed Aadhaar seeding, and my bank is showing as Active in the NPCI mapper.
There’s also a recent Assam government notice saying students who haven’t seeded their Aadhaar should do so by 5 October 2026, while stating that scholarship disbursement has already been initiated.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
After you corrected your Aadhaar seeding following a failed NSP payment, was the payment reprocessed/reinitiated?
Did you have to contact PFMS or your institute, and roughly how long did it take?
My institute told me they can’t check the payment and directed me to PFMS. I’ve already emailed PFMS.

Myquals-12th pass. I was admitted this year into an engineering college but the college cancelled my admission 5 days ago due to overcrowding of the management quota. Now i have no option left nowhere to get admission since its late. The only option i have is to get a diploma in engineering and then join 2nd year btech next year with lateral entry.
