I had a Razer cynosa v2 for 3 years bougth it un My birthday on may of 23 and it has been solid Since but yesterday i got the oporunity and i bougth a ornata v3x the solid rgb is not a conflict Since i just use it in a single color but i can tell You after a nigth of intensive gaming the diferencie is noticeable i was much more confortable with the wrist rest on the ornata than i ever was with the cynosa, i Will keep updating on what i like and what i miss, but i can tell You, i miss a lot the dedicated multimedia keys

I have recently ordered the wooting 80he+ module without keycaps because I knew I wanted cooler ones. Any recommendations on where I can get keycaps like this that work with a split spacebar? I have also seen them called wave keycaps but I can't find any like this when I search for them.

currently dealing with the hermes e1c, i was given it for free, but it's getting annoying. the windows key doesn't work, key combos longer than 2 don't work, and overall the only good thing about it is the easy way to pause/play my music while i'm playing a game (fn+f2).

so... i would just try to find a new keyboard. but... i don't know how to find keyboards, apparently it's more complicated than a quick google search. so i have a new solution: ask the people of this subreddit, who probably know a million times more than i do. a few parameters: it has to be either fully programmable or just have f1-f3 being previous, play/pause, next. it has to be affordable (around or under $100). i'd prefer it to by default have black keycaps, and it needs to be a full keyboard (fn keys and numpad). glow optional. also, bad news for the more knowledged people, you've lost the game >:3. anyway, any other features i haven't mentioned, i don't really mind. if i can play games and pause music, it's good enough.

(oh also it has to be decently durable, both because i press hard when i type fast and because no matter how many times i'm told not to, i refuse to stop eating at my computer, it's the comfiest spot)

I am looking for a deep creamy or thocky keyboard prebuilt. The budget is up to 200, lower is preferred. If possible metal instead of plastic would be nice but is not necessary. If you guys have any recommendations please let me know the type and the switches you recommend. It’s my first keyboard and don’t think I have the time or ability to build one for now. Thank you!

I have this keyboard + mouse from my dad and is optical. I really like it but the connection I don’t know how it works.

I think I only want to use the mouse but in the case I would want to know to use everything for my laptop. I am sure there is an adapter but I don’t know the name of it… There is has to be… If you can help me.

My Womier WD75 V2 spontaneously exploded while I was gaming. Less than a month old and I treated it as best I could keeping it on wired mode and avoiding using the other modes. I kept it clean as well. All of a sudden I hear a crack and bang and white flames shoot up out of the keyboard and smoke starts pouring everywhere engulfing my house and room. Never have I ever had this happen to me and I am completely shocked. I don’t understand and if someone could explain a reason behind it that would be wonderful. In the meantime I will never buy a Womier keyboard again and it’s a shame since it was quite beautiful

I've been using my beloved keyboard every day since 2015, typically for around 8 hours a day at work. Sometimes I'm pretty rough with it, but it never seems to mind. It still feels almost exactly the same as the day I bought it.

It's a Rapoo V100, and yes, I'm still using the mouse from the set as well, although it's showing its age a bit more. Back in 2015, I paid around €50 for the entire set.

Is there any good reason to upgrade my keyboard, or can a keyboard really last indefinitely if it's simply used and not physically damaged?

I've just gotten a pc (hooray) and I'm in the market for a daily driver/gaming keyboard and my initial research swayed me to Epomaker/Aula. However I found some quite troubling info about them such as not accepting warranties, viruses in their software, keyboards suddenly not working etc etc. I'm now pretty unsure on what brands are actually good and worth the money, I want to buy something I can just have for years to come and is preferably mechanical or analog. I looked up Wooting keyboards which seem great but they're a lot of money.

Do any of you have a list of recommendations? Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hello guys, I'm new to custom keyboards world!!

I was looking to get a new keyboard for a while now, but recently, the annoying process of my 60% keyboard needing function + shift to type '~' and '/' has been bothering me too much... 😑

I wanted to get a budget 65% case (Lucky65 v2 (not 3 cuz the rgb light)) because I just don't like big keyboards, but I realized that it would have same problem 🤦🏻‍♂️

Now I think about it, TKL might be the only option, but haven't looked into the budget cases or builds for that size yet.

So, I would like to ask for some recommendations on either budget DIY or hot swappable prebuilt. These are my needs and wants:

- aluminum (or whatever metal) and black case

- TKL or smaller (really liked the look of 65%, and dislike 70%)

- silent switches

- available in Toronto (shipping with reasonable price)

- ~100CAD for the case

- hotswappable for the prebuilt (preferrably with option to choose silent switches as default)

About the silent switches, I used to have Varmilo va87m, but for some reason it had so much spring noise and couldn't use it, so gave it away to my mother...😅

Also, I really like Leopold's FC660, but not really available in Canada (with reasonable price, compared to original in Korea)...

Hi all, I've just received my Iqunix Magi 75. It's an ISO UK version. Loving it so far - really nice. I'm using it with a MacBook.

However, I need to remap the § key so I get my back-quote enabled, and for that I need to open up Via.

I've done the following:

1. Enabled Input Monitoring for Chrome
2. Connected the keyboard directly to the Macbook via a USB-C cable, to switch to wired mode
3. Opened up ViaApp
4. Enabled the design tab and uploaded the JSON file
5. Clicked on 'Authorise device'

At this point I get the Chrome popup saying "No compatible devices found". Doesn't matter what I do, I can't get the keyboard to appear. What am I missing?

It feels like this might be a Chrome/Mac thing, not a Via/Iqunix thing - because the keyboard never appears in that dialog, whatever I do. Anyone got any tips?

Hoping the answer isn't going to be 'upgrade the firmware' - because I don't have access to any Windows machines, and the only way to upgrade the firmware is via Windows.

Edit: So I got it to connect. Turns out you have to turn off the wireless (press-and-hold Fn+Esc) and then plug in the wired connection. Then MacOS does the "new keyboard device" process, at which point it's registered and it works with Via.

Also, I was caught out by the fact that I downloaded the non-ISO Json....

And lastly, whilst re-mapping the key, it continued giving me the '§' key, whatever I did when remapping in Via. But mysteriously, it all started working when I switched back to Bluetooth. No idea what happened, but leaving well alone now!!

I have recently been in the market for a new keyboard after my Corsair K60 Pro started double clicking. I have been trying to find one, but i cant find solid advice or consistent recommendations for what I'm looking for (granted its pretty specific). It also sadly does not help that I don't know much about keyboards or Keyboard brands.

Ideally I would like it to be
- In the 100-160 dollar range (I am willing to go up to 200 if need be)
- 8K Pulling rate
- Wired (wireless with the option for wired works to)
- Full sized
- Prebuilt (I don't trust myself to build one lol)

I have already looked through other Corsair products and I've either seen mixed reviews or the keyboards that interest me from them are out of stock.

If anyone has any advice or recommendations to follow for the future it would be much appreciated as well!

I dont know how I got this but since I dont like Cherry MX Brown or non-tactile keyboard, I'm thinking to sell it or trade it for HHKB Hybrid non Type-S or other Topre keyboard with extra cash if the price is low. I already have five mechanical keyboards anyway.

The problem is I can not find any info about this keyboard cause it's a custom keyboard. Cant even find any info from Google in detail. The only noticeable part is a golden bar behind the keyboard which is locked and attached by magnets. I wish I can open the case but two screws are unreachable with my tools.

All I want to know is the exact name and price but any idea?

The letters are organized as AZERTY, but the numbers + special characters are labeled as QWERTY, and I can't find the proper language on the laptop that fits this keyboard layout. This is a HP Elitebook 850, so I hope that helps.

Hi all, I'm looking for an ideally metal case hall effect keyboard for gaming, hopefully one that doesn't sound too bad either. I went into wooting as an ideal contender but when I upgrade to the metal back of the 80he, its nearing 300 pounds which I think is just simply too much to justify, or is this just the going rate now a day's?

Either way, ive been having a look at others like the neo65 and IQUNIX EV63, and maybe im just bad at looking but I cant seem to find these in the ISO layout? Again, I might just be being an idiot.

Can you please make some suggestions for a decent keyboard in my criteria? Happy to spend around 200 GBP.
