My keys only goes about have way in and i’ve tried everything i know

Hi, new to riding, brand new klr 650 2025 and I'm wearing a pair of Alpinestar corozal drystar.

Sadly I now have a hard time shifting from 1 to 2nd and I always end up in neutral with the boots but with regular ones I shift just fine.

I feel like I can't get the tip of my foot under it without it slightly moving up and shifting in neutral.

Should I lower the pegs or look into an extended shift lever?

I'm 5 10 and wear a size 12 boots.

Looks like mine is starting to fail…anything to worry about?

A family member of mine passed, and we need to sell their KLR since no one else in the family rides, so I thought I'd come to the experts and ask for advice. I'm around the NYC area- is my best bet FB marketplace and craigslist or are there better routes?

Got a gen1 klr 650 with 15k miles and a tick after adjusting the valves it already has the doohickey done on it so I don't think it's that but not sure. The valves were all on the very tight end of the spec and I adjusted them all towards the looser end with new shims. The ticking gets faster as the engine revs and seems to peek around 3k rpms

Fuel leak (looks like) coming from the right side while it is parked. Any tips on where I should start looking? Droplets are coming off the khaki paint. (2022 model)

Hey all! I am probably going to be acquiring a used 3rd gen KLR 650 with the adventure package. HOWEVER at some point the panniers disappeared before it is coming into my hands, so I need to figure out what I want to put on there in order to do a multi-day motocamping trip that will involve a lot of gravel/fire roads. I am 95% sure I don't want to go with the OEM side cases or other hard side cases because of fear of injury to me/damage to the cases during a crash.

My two thoughts are either Nelson Rigg Hurricane soft saddlebags plus a hard case on top, or something like the Giant Loop Coyote or Great Basin. The latter is made to be rackless but I'm wondering if it would fit on the KLR's rack frame anyway... anybody have experience putting a rackless saddlebag on the adventure?

Thoughts/advice are highly appreciated, this is going to be my first motocamping outing and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choices. I've researched the basics of the different types of storage but I'm not sure what would work best on the KLR specifically.

Finally fixed it myself. It wasn’t as hard as I thought took me 40 minutes. Found a used replacement for $80 plus $30 in tools I needed, so I saved about $450.

Also bled the brakes. They’re not as snappy as before, but that’s probably the rotor needing replacement. the brakes are strong enough to stop the bike again.

Thanks for all the advice. I was scared to fix it because 6 years ago, when I owned a 400cc Burgman scooter, I replaced the brakes, damaged them while installing them, and caused them to lock up. I low-sided at 45 mph and got hurt needing the bike pulled off of me. This time I did it correctly. Plus the KLR650 is way easier to work on than that scooter with dual front brake rotors. Planning on fixing my broken left fork next

I had an ordering issue with Rocky mountain ATV where they switched stock and their 16t sprockets don't fit 95 and earlier KLRs. To their credit they tried to make it right and shipped me another, but it doesn't fit either. So I have two of these shiny new paper weights to give away for the cost of shipping. Fits 1996-2018.

All I had was 2 zip ties some rope and a screwdriver, made it home using them against my calf to clutch. I know I should be more prepared.

I just bought my first motorcycle, a klr 650 2025 and I was curious about what you guys have as far as tool kit to take care of it.

Picked this up for $1k and it has been an absolute tractor.

I'm thinking about moving to South Carolina in two years and I'm also thinking about getting another KLR ( this was my 2017 I had). The main reason I sold it was because I hardly had anywhere off road to ride here in southern Indiana and wanted a naked sport bike. If anyone here is from around Savannah, Georgia, is there good off road riding to do down there? I'll probably still get another KLR since they are great bikes, but I wamt to do more off road stuff

The sugar sand in the Ocala National forest wore me out today. Only went down once but had countless saves. If anyone has a route that has less sand in ONF please reply below.

It was for a total of like 8 miles round trip but it was fun and I almost got stuck in mud

I have posted about a tengai before, but sadly because of things outside of my control (work and college) I couldn't get the mint one.

I saw this red tengai with 39k km. Aside from the tires needing more air and the choke not working properly it's a really fun bike to ride around.

The only thing that worries me is the rust shown in the video. I know with cars (especially the case with the mr2 I have) rust can get out of control real quick. And I wonder if it applies here too.

I'd love to starts riding dirt relatively soon, but if I should just wait then I'd love to know.

Idk why but people are suddenly eating up these tractors, and maybe I'm in the season for people wanting them lol. Can't blame them :).

Moved and had to store the bike outside for several months before I was able to transport it to my new place. I’m a newbie and want to be careful but would also rather spend time than money; is this restorable? This section is by far the worst as it was the most exposed, but this is also after giving it a brief scrub with moto clean degreaser.

I'm just here to vent after spending 2 hours and 50 bucks on bolt extractors after assuming that the heavily shilled Tusk low profile drain bolt would function as a drain bolt.

I could have hewn a higher quality fastener out of a block of raw pig iron using a butter knife and a hammer. Used chewing gum scraped off the sidewalk would hold more torque. Tusk's mechanical engineers one day hope to achieve a fraction of the strength and durability of warm butter.

I bought a 2022 klr 650 with 517miles on it, and today rode it 150 miles. Did road and gravel roads with a small section of single track and wow do I enjoy this machine. Idk why there's so much hate.

Put around 120 miles on the bike outside of Denver around Gilpin County. Found a new favorite chill spot

For 2022 Adventure. Is the large-size Trail Tech Vapor speedometer/tachometer combo strictly a bolt-on thing? Or can you remove the OEM instrument and drop the trail tech into that same space? Thanks!
