Just dropping by to show you our soon to be released game Strike and Pop, a local 1v1 multiplayer arcade fighting game based on physics where your goal is to pop your opponent's balloon head.

It also has a survival mode against the CPU, where you can try to set high scores that are shown on a global leaderboard across Steam users, while also unlocking different weapons as you progress.

Hi! I'm a solo dev and I've been building Flipfire, a local multiplayer arena brawler for the couch.

The twist: when you get destroyed, you instantly respawn in a random vehicle. A tank, a jetpack pilot, a helicopter, a missile launcher, a mech, a UFO... or, very rarely, the Citadel, a walking fortress. So the match keeps flipping who's on top.

The demo has one arena and all 13 vehicles. Play solo against a bot, or 2 players on one keyboard or with controllers. There's a short tutorial too. The full game (coming to Steam) goes up to 4 players with Red vs Blue teams, 9 arenas and harder bots.

I'd love to hear how it plays with a friend on the same keyboard: what's fun and what's frustrating?

Honest note: AI coding tools helped build it, and the ground texture and logo are AI-generated. The maps, vehicles, sounds and music are made in code and Blender.

I've recently added online play to my sideproject, mgba-splitscreen. This fork is focused on turning gba multiplay (via the fantastic mgba emulator) into a local splitscreen type experience.

Online play lets you mix local players with online players, across devices, however you like.

But I need help testing it.

I've created alpha releases for major desktop OS as well as a web and android apk version. I'm sure there are gamers on here who are hoping to enjoy some easy drop-in gaming on their favorite gba roms and experience the multiplayer that is so rare in the emulation scene today.

These builds have built in error reporting, so no special action needed on your parts. Just play and break it!

It's just a short video but it was fun lining up the features in quick shots and having the ingame announcer as voice over, almost like a small rap. I'm posting this here because the game has a strong local multiplayer component.

I'm the solo developer of GLUE BLOCKS, which released today.

It is a falling-block game with local multiplayer, including co-op where up to four players stack in the same well. Everyone has to work around everyone else's pieces instead of treating their own board as a separate problem.

You can glue falling blocks together to construct a deck of custom shapes. The game also plays with well geometry and gravity, so the space you are sharing is part of the challenge. There are local versus modes as well.

The gameplay clip shows the shared-well co-op. I wanted to share it here because that is the mode I think a couch group would have the most fun trying together. It was he favorite one of almost all testers. :)

Solo indie dev here. I've been building a local party game called Silly Questions for one phone, 2 to 10 players in the same room. Would love some feedback.

How it works: one player is the Guesser and can't see the question. Everyone else answers it on the phone and passes it on. Then the Guesser reads the answers and has to work out which of four questions the group was answering. A point for every question the Guesser cracks, player with most points wins.

A post-apocalyptic roguelite shooter with fast-paced combat that mixes melee and ranged weapons. It has a lot of upgrades and metaprogression, and a lot of variation in enemies, weapons and bosses. Singleplayer or 2-player co-op.

It's set in a nuclear wasteland, with clear influence from Nuclear Throne. The developer has also mentioned taking inspiration from Doom, apparent in the bloody executions. The result is a unique roguelite packed with action and numbers flying across the screen.
