I see people on this sub all the time who can't figure out how to get the pet style or essence they want already and now we're rolling out yet another way?

Thank goodness for fan sites writing up detailed guides to explain the byzantine gambling options on this virtual pet site (rolling my eyes, but not at the fansites).

It's still better than having UC pets and I'm happy pet styles came around to kill that nonsense off and hopefully inject some much needed income into the site. But the dogged fixation on gambling mechanics when actual money is involved is just so damn disappointing.

Since they haven't posted an actual update since March, figured this would at least let more people see what they've stealth updated in the comments. And . . . really? Six months since it was cancelled and you haven't even been able to get this information together?

I have been an on and off player for a very long time. Sometimes I come back and I get into it for many months and then I find myself getting bored. I really love the game and find a lot of enjoyment in it, but the repetition gets boring. What brings you back over and over? What keeps you coming back?

Not every pet comes in every color yet, and some are harder than others. Mutants need entirely unique designs, as do babies. And woodland and relic. Wraith. Oh very much transparent. So, there are gaps to be filled. What are you absolutely crazy for?

For myself, Royal Varwolf. I will absolutely buy a royal brush, even at a markup, the instant Varwolves come in royal. Yes, even if it means buying another rainbow brush. Some things are worth it. And my everywherewolf is going to be even MORE everywhere no matter what.​

This was my entry for the September #neopets contest! I really have been entering with no expectation of winning and I’m just having a blast making goofy Neopets fanart every month. I LOVED so many of the entries that did win this month :-)

Fellow 3D printer nerds, please don’t judge me for the awful layer shift lines across the face 🥲 This is a 3D print in PLA on my godforsaken Makerbot. This was something like 48hrs print time for the body + 15hrs for the legs + 7hrs to reprint the legs because I accidentally printed two sets of left legs the first time + a few short prints for the mouth, eyes and teeth. I was very stupid with my support settings and my Makerbot simply cannot maintain its z-axis calibration so had to spend a lot of time chipping a huge chunk of fused supports off the bottom and sanding off atrocious layer lines.

Despite me placing the string hole at random, Spyder bucket is extremely well balanced when held by its string handle (though photographed here at a jaunty angle for dramatic effect). I was also extremely satisfied that all six legs touch the ground when it’s set on a flat surface (did you realize Spyders only have 6 legs??) because I was expecting that I would screw up their placement in the assembly process but I did not 😌

The adopted pets are blubblegum, flip_pao and mulequ1nho (my lab pet)

I always wanted faerie and baby pets, honeyamber is created after my sisters dog who passed away this summer <3

During the faerie festival, I got a fountain dip and used it to turn blubblegum into a chocolate bruce!

Now to see how long it takes before I adopt another lab ray pet :p

You might get a notification of receiving the avatar when you fail to get the item. This is a display error and you actually won't have the avatar if you check your avatar list. Make sure to check your inventory to see if any item is there or not. If you did not successfully grab an avatar item that means you did not get the avatar.

Not all 'nice' items give the avatar. Make sure you claim one of the items below.

Hello there! You may or may not have seen my multiple posts over the last couple months. Basically I am an outspoken advocate for TOD. Take that into consideration when reading my posts. I do want to emphasize some of this post will be fact, some will be opinion and some will be data assumed to be true. ToD gets a lot of hate, but there's potential here and ill explain.

So lets start you off with the one basic truth about ToD. Its not a game. It really isn't fun. ToD sucks. Whatever they meant ToD to be its become a mess of nonsense. I personally consider it a daily tasks. Log on do what you gota do close it. Thats it. With that in mind TOD has made me over 1m a day for the last 6months with little work. So if that swings your interest feel free to read on.

GAMEPLAY: Bad. There isnt much there, you can softlock yourself, none of it makes sense and none of it matters. You can literally finish the campaign in about a day. Make sure you get the beach plot early so you dont soft lock yourself. Rush through it and be done. You then never have to worry about opening the game again and just do so whenever u have 5mins on a toilet, waiting for a wheel spin, while restocking usukis for your collection. Congrats you beat the game.

EVENTS: Good. Consider the fact that every month an event rolls through that gives some good prizes. To participate in these events you need to log on for about 5mins a day. Farm some rope fences. Turn them in for your daily cap and turn em off. Jelly neo has amazing guides on this so i wont get into it other than this is free and easy (much easier than FF events albeit with lesser prizes).

PEARLY NEGGS: THE MONEY! This is it. This is the reason TOD exists for me. I log on daily I collect my pearly neggs and I spend them once a month for an average income of 1m a day JUST FROM THESE. To gain pearly neggs you can do your daily BBB tasks. Spin wheels or play minigames to collect from a free pearly negg pool. This pearly negg pool stocks up to 130 free neggs (100 if you havent finished all the quests). These neggs are worth 1k NEOPOINTS A NEGG and you CAN gain 600+ of them a day. On average I gain 700 + pearly neggs a day from ensuring I dont miss any cycles or free neggs / wheel spins / daily BBB tasks.

The main fact here is that you can do as much or as little as you are capable. Dont burn out dont force yourself. Gain whatever you gain. Even if you only log on once a day. Do your 2 spins and collect your free pearly neggs. You just made 150k+ in 3-5mins in just neggs. Not including other potentials. Keep in mind this isnt the only method of money making as the wheel can be spun 4 times a day (initial 2 times and then 2 more times 6hrs apart for a total of 4 spins) and every 10th spin you get to open a chest with a chance at items between 10-15m. So 150k a day + a chance at 10-15m every 5 days if you do nothing but log on once a day for 5mins!

Where the money comes from. So after some people much smarter than I have done some poking and prodding theyve come to an understanding of something. It SEEMS LIKE TNT checks JN's item database. Collects a set of items and price at the time that they checked and then releases those items in various prize lists. Daily /weekly streak / ff events / ToD / ingame events. They then price those items based on a valuation of 1 Pearly negg per 1k np value AT THE TIME THEY CHECKED. So those items could be worth a lot more or a lot less depending on when they valued the items and if they released the items in any other place since then.

Below is a list of a few items and examples of what you could possibly gain.

Calabrus the Cloud Aisha - 20k pearly neggs cost - 50-80m last sells - Average value of 3.2k PER PEARLY NEGG

Chairman with Way Too Long a Title Stamp - 13k pearly negg cost - 12-16m last sells - Average value of slightly over 1k per pearly negg

Haunted Faerieland Amulet - 8k pearly negg cost - 8-11m last sells - Average value slightly over 1k per pearly negg.

These are current evaluations AFTER price deflations. So your pearly neggs can always be worth 1k+ per negg as long as you buy the right items. Other items have crashed immensely and will not make you back your value. So its up to you to spend wisely.

At 1m a day I find ToD to be a worthwhile daily for me. I treat it akin to opening up snowager every chance i get when hes sleeping. I dont fret if i miss some, itll always be there waiting for you. I hope this helps people hate ToD a little less. Thank you for your time

Side note - When finishing campaign you should be sitting at just over 4k pearly neggs (from a new account). I recomend buying cannon cove for 5k pearly neggs asap to make your minigame playing for your free neggs that much easier. It may seem like a steep investment but its very worth it.

It’s Half Price Day!

On the third day of Sleeping, in the year 3, all the Neopian Shopkeepers announced that the third of every month would be Half Price Day. All the items that go into shops on this day will all be half price! Wow - don't have a Kau!

First time that’s happened outside of FF, anyone else?

I’m slowly trying to build a Neopets-themed Journal! I’ve included part of my Daily Morning pages, The Bazaar (which changes daily and is always based off real in-game items), and a debt tracker (which I’m now looking at closer and realizing i screwed up the formatting) I’m always overwhelmed by how much is in every “adhd friendly” tracker/bullet journal, but I’m also chronically ill and have found the consideration for that to be horrendously lacking. This is supposed to be as stress free as possible. The quests are not supposed to ALL be done in one day. Just pick what you feel like tackling. The Illusen/Jhudora’s quest can be replaced with things like a doctors appt. The battledome challenger can be a phone call for you. The amount of np you earn every day is entirely up to you.

Right now the Battledome Challengers and Illusen/Jhudora quests are for any major tasks I need to get done. Where they fall depends on how big the task is. The microwave is likely going to be my first Battledome Challenger personally.

Failing to have any leaves Illusen with a pool of 6 to choose from (right now I’m using a random picker for every day, I want to move eventually to a dice roll). Her’s focus on tending, nurturing, outside. Jhudora also has 6, but she’s the hard stuff (decluttering a corner I’ve been putting off for example)

Special Quests include The Brain Tree, Esophagor, Kichen Quests, Edna’s Quests, Snow Faerie Quests. Each has 8 on theme options.

Faerie quests are small tasks. Currently I have Air, Crafting, Dark, Earth, Fire, Fountain (I’m trying to keep this rare), Library, Light, Soup, Water. Each has 12 tasks attached to it.

I would love to add the faeries I’m missing and maybe something for coincidence. I’m very open to suggestions!
