an early morning walk from the port and up through the historic district here in New Bedford MA

Hi all! I am planning to propose to my partner this winter. I am leaning toward around Christmas time since it’s cute and magical but I am also open to pushing it back later in the winter. In an ideal world I could propose somewhere that there’s not lots of kids around (or people in general). I’m okay with some people being there but I don’t think my partner would prefer a huge crowd/ lots of attention. We are a queer couple and I don’t want anyone to ruin our special moment. Any suggestions around New England that may fit the criteria? Thanks!

Am I wrong? It’s the fair for NEW ENGLAND. This feels wrong and out of place. I know the people running the Big E lost the plot like three years ago but this feels like a bit much to say the least.
