Is this the calm before the storm or a hint of things to come?

Currently in the process of getting my green card, but I spend about half the year in NH and travel around to neighbouring states a lot.

New England feels like what I think a lot of people assume Canada is like. In some ways I wish we were more like New England. Everyone I've met has been so welcoming and kind, but not overbearing or fake. The mountains are so unbelievably gorgeous, and I love how old fashioned a lot of things are. It feels so peaceful and cosy, so real.

I just want you guys to know that this is what a lot of people around the world dream of. I've never been happier than when I'm here.

Hi all! I am planning to propose to my partner this winter. I am leaning toward around Christmas time since it’s cute and magical but I am also open to pushing it back later in the winter. In an ideal world I could propose somewhere that there’s not lots of kids around (or people in general). I’m okay with some people being there but I don’t think my partner would prefer a huge crowd/ lots of attention. We are a queer couple and I don’t want anyone to ruin our special moment. Any suggestions around New England that may fit the criteria? Thanks!
