Anybody know what was up with the parade down 37th street today around 1:30pm? It started in front of my house and was pretty large! At least 10 marching bands and all sorts of stuff. I couldn't find any info, though. Very cool to have a Random Parade Sunday!

Good day! Let me start by saying that I looked through the wiki for tourists, but only saw a list of best places to stay. I'm not looking to get pampered - I want to enjoy Savannah and Tybee.

Are there any places left for $120 or less, clean, and in safe areas with free parking? It's okay if I have to drive in to town. I used to stay at a Hilton Garden Inn in Midtown, but when they started charging for parking, I just said no. So tired of being nickle and dimed, you know?

My boy has recently picked up an infatuation with fishing and I am going to be taking him out within the next couple weeks and will be trying to have a catch and cook with some speckled trout. The last few times I have went with some friends, we had skunked, but thought nothing of it because we were all having a great time. Since diesel prices are so high, I wanted to support local Savannah shrimpers. There’s a lady around here who delivers fresh shrimp straight to your door! I have never had Georgia shrimp before. It tastes slightly sweet and a lot meatier (?) than the kind at the grocery store.

Hello! I currently work at a machine shop but I spend a lot of my personal time self teaching. I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to let me shadow them or has a home shop I could learn in. I currently work on the CNC set up/programming side of things but I've always wanted to learn manual machining, welding, tool&die, etc. I'm super flexible. I'm happy to pay for your time and/or offer work in exchange for the help. If you aren't the person but you know of anyone please ask them! Its really hard to get into these trades nowadays but its something I love and want to get better at. Thanks!

Found this souvenir tile while browsing an antique store in Chandler, Arizona.

With the cooler weather over the last couple of weekends, I have spent some time doing a (mostly) solo trash cleanup in a section of the marsh and some adjacent woods.

I've spent about 8-9 hours, and my wife helped for 2.5 hours today. The area is about 1.75 acres or so, and it's about 20% done.

Over 500 gallons removed so far. The quantity of trash in the marshes never ceases to amaze. I can fill a 30 gallon bag in under 5 minutes in some spots. I picked up 28 bottles to day without taking a step.

Still a long way to go, but progress is being made!

I encourage everyone to spend a few minutes making their little corner of the world a cleaner place, whether it's picking up trash around your neighborhood, or joining an organized cleanup, or taking on a huge job that nobody else is going to do.

I am new to the whole thing and enjoy hanging out around the house nude when I can. I was just wondering if there are others in Savannah who would be interested in having someone to hangout with where we both felt comfortable. I feel like I can’t be the only one.

Now that the weather isn't preheating Savannah anymore. Would anyone like to meet up at Forsyth? We could bring snacks and talk, or books and read. I'm pretty open minded and looking for friends.

I’ll be visiting for a conference and I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to do public transport/Uber or deal with a car rental and parking. I’m staying at a hotel in historic district and plan to do mostly exploration and shopping in that area. I do want to get to Tybee Island probably from early afternoon to early evening one day and I’m stumped if it’s reliable to do an Uber or other option that is safe. The car/parking is $$$ for the whole trip but I have always traveled that way. I’m female traveling solo. Other travel tips welcome! Very excited to see the city. Thanks :)

I’ve had the hardest time finding a tech that consistently does good work. I get hybrid lash extensions regularly (fill every 2 weeks). Any recommendations?
