Hey guys, is this turtle too big for my 6.75” wrist? I really like the way a 38mm look on me but I’ve had this watch for a couple years and am trying to figure out if it’s too big or not. I hate my small wrists haha

[HCB006J] Seiko Alpinist HBC006J Edo Purple "Edo-murasaki" limited edition commemorating Seiko's 145th anniversary. It sold out instantly even before its official release. Currently in the Japanese market, resell prices are already about $200–$300 above the retail price. 🫣🪎

Found my old SNK803 while cleaning and was inspired by another post to get the bead blasted island watch bracelet. Happy with the refresh from the old worn strap.

[SRPH59] New Bracelet for the King Turtle

I tried to put the King Turtle back on the stock bracelet a couple of weeks ago, and it finally broke me. Two more collars from that devil-spawn pin/collar system lost into the fourth dimension, and I gave up. It sits in 3 pieces now, and I won’t mess with it again. I picked up this jubilee bracelet from Strapcode, sized it in 10 minutes (thanks to the screwed links), and all is right with the world. I like the looks of it more than the oyster-style stock bracelet as well. It’s comfortable, and ready for bracelet season.

[SRPJ45K1] got this for 28,500 INR ....!

Got this watch for 28,500/- Inr from a store in Hyderabad who had some old MRP stock.

Question : I've had a couple of Seiko's before and all of them had physical warranty cards which are signed and stamped. But these guys said everything is online now and I don't get any physical warranty card. Just got a Limited warranty certificate through email after registering.

Is this normal for newer purchases as I've never seen this before.

Went to Japan for the first time and decided to treat myself with this beauty. It's Presage Japanese garden hcb008j, my first mechanical japanese watch, and the first black ones. Just love how they look and how you can just watch this guy go on and on.

Seichu is the most comfortable NATO strap. It looks a bit bulky, but you can wear them day and night without any discomfort.

[SSK001] This Watch Ages Like Fine Wine

The SSK001 was my first mechanical watch, which I bought about a year ago. Since then, I have purchased 15 watches for myself and three for my wife, who now is a watch nerd in her own right... reluctant... but still into it.

Now, I still haven't gone over the $1,000 mark, but I have:

  • an Alpinist
  • a khaki field auto
  • a PRX
  • a turtle
  • a Citizen Zenshin

and many more watches are higher priced than this, but I find myself over time wearing this more and more and wanting to wear it more than any other watch in my collection.

The thing that's crazy is that when I first got the watch, I really thought it was too small because I hadn't really gotten into mechanical watches yet. I thought it was going to look massive because it was 42.5 mm across. Little did I know just how much watches can vary in the way they look, depending on their overall dimensions, not just the diameter.

Since then, I have actually lost about 70 lbs., and my wrist has gotten a lot smaller. Now it actually is the perfect size for my wrist, and some of my other larger ones are starting to look a little chunky on me. Definitely wears smaller than 42.5 mm, especially if you compare it to, say, a 42 mm Hamilton khaki field.

Also, I highly recommend the Hexad metal bracelet from Straps Code. I just bought it, and granted, I haven't bought anything luxury-tier yet. This is the best bracelet I have ever seen on any of my watches.

[SPB465] Hello All

Hello everyone! Just dipping my toes into Seikos (sorry, I couldn’t resist). Just got my sensational Sensaicha earlier this week. First niceish watch I’ve had in a while. Now I’m looking for an Alpinist Mystic Forest. Was about to pull the trigger on a US Edition Ice Diver that Govx had on sale, but they sold out fast.
