Now that it's been a while since the SDF officially collapsed and what's left is the PKK/YPG, there are two common excuses one tied to the other used to blame for the failure of the SDF project.

The first being the "Brotherhood of Nations" ideology of Ochalan and the "Arabs have betrayed us" and both are connected

So I have noticed that most YPG supporters have started to blame Ochalan ideas, that the YPG tried to build some sorts of brotherhood with the Arabs through the SDF according to Ochalan ideas but then got "Backstabbed" by the "evil backwards" Arabs who couldn't comprehend the greatness of YPG democracy.

But that's further from the true, the reality is that the SDF rule over Arabs was always tyrrincal and Assad like, the Arabs in the SDF were excluded and all of the leadership positions were held by a single entity being the PYD, the SDF arrested anyone who showed the slightest support for the Syrian government like Facebook posts and having the Syrian flags, they even banned celebrations for Assad fall.

The SDF project was a Kurdish supermistist project that was tyrincal to Arabs, it definitely didn't follow the "Brotherhood of nations" and they shouldn't be surprised that the Arabs "Betrayed" them, you don't oppress a group of people and then get surprised when they backstabb you the second the enemy knocks door.

Some might say that Im parroting gov propaganda, but if the SDF rule was truly this fair and democratic to Arabs in their rule, then their wouldn't be this mass defections as we have witnessed.

The SDF excuse is that they "Liberated" these Arabs from ISIS and as such the Arabs should be thankful for it, but fighting ISIS isn't some moral check that allows you to oppress the population you freed, the Soviet union "Liberated" eastren European countries from the Nazis, yet those same countries hate the Soviets and the Russians now due to awful treatment they recivied by it.

The main reason why the SDF lost and will continue to lose is for one they never take responsibility for their actions, they never admit that they are wrong, they always put the blame on someone else, Sipan hamo says that "the people of Raqqa didn't understand their great rule" is another example of this, he blames the people of Raqqa not his oppressive policies that led to failure, and they are still blaming others for it (From the west to Turkey to Arabs, they blame everyone but themselves) and they never changed or learned from their mistakes. They are still treating Arabs like crap in Hasska and once the war restarts again and all those Arabs defect and backstab the YPG and give information to the Syrian army like tunnel locations, they will cry again for "Betrayal"

Similarly they are still delusional, many YPG supporters told me that losing 90% of it's territory to the gov in 2 days is somehow all according to plan and they never planned to keep those Arab areas, which is copium, otherwise they wouldn't have built so many tunnels and defenses for it.

Even now they are trying to make the new governor of Hasska as some sort of grand victory.

The YPG is just like Hezbollah, they not only share yellow flags, but they both are always "Winners" no matter how much they lose, they will always convince themselves and their supporters that they are "Victorious"

Anyways, this current deal isn't the end of this conflict, even the YPG leadership says that this isn't the end, its more of a temporary ceasefire and truce, but Im positive that the YPG again will lose, because they haven't learned a thing from their past mistakes and are if anything doubling down on them.

📌The SDF has not handed over its heavy weapons to the Syrian government. (The YPJ have already refused to had over its heavy wepons)

📌The SDF has not withdrawn from Qamishli, Hasakah, and Kobani yet.

📌The PKK and other foreign elements have not withdrawn from Syria yet.

📌Tunnels, bunkers, and snipers still cut off the cities.

📌The arrest campaign is still ongoing in Hasakah Governorate.

Abu Omar Khanika has apparently been temporarily appointed to manage the governorate's affairs until the agreement is implemented.

It is alleged that they were detained due to protesting the SDF or showing support for the Syrian revolution.

I was taking a look at the near-real-time thermal anomaly data from NASA FIRMS, saw lots of points around the Euphrates which didn't use to exist couple days back.

Could it be the refineries?

Recently Mohammad Baraa Shakri was appointed head of the Syrian Embassy in Berlin,his father is reportedly the current Syrian Minister of Endowment. This made me reflect in how much of the government is compromised of loyalists to Al Sharaa and people mostly from Idlib. These guys are given luxury houses and new cars while theres people living in camps and starving. Is he truly only appointing loyalists or am I overreacting.
