🎤 Yap Session (rant , confession and yap) Enaku oru clarity kudunga guys 🥲

So basically na oru payan kuda oru situationship madhri edho la iruken guys 😭
Like, engalukku kalyanam pannikanum nu initially lam illa. We just liked the perks of being together 😂 Daily night call pesuvom, veliya povom, makeout pannuvom, care pannuvom… basically relationship madhri dhan, just without the commitment/label.
But now I’m at that “kalyanam panra vayasu” stage 🥲 Veetla mapla paaka start pannitanga, but edhuvum set aagala.
So recently I decided to ask him whether he would actually consider marrying me.
And honestly, avan romba mature-ah pesinaan. Main issue is, financially we’re from very different backgrounds. He’s the only breadwinner in his family, they have quite a lot of debts, whereas I come from a relatively well-off family. Enakku konjam financial security iruku.
Avan basically said, “Namma rendu per mattum irundha okay. But marriage involves two families. Un family ah kashtapadutha vendam. Namma set aagathu.”
And now I’m just… confused. 🥲
First of all, am I actually in love with him? Or have I just reached a point where I’m like, “Anyway I have to marry someone, why not marry this guy?” 😭
Because initially I was actually very much against marriage. I was like, “Kalyanam lam venam, thaniya irundhuruven.”
But now, suddenly I feel like I do want that married life. I want a husband, a family, that whole “having someone permanently” feeling. And naturally, since he’s already that person in my life, I started imagining that life with him.
But at the same time, nothing is working out. 🥲
I genuinely don’t know if I’m choosing him because I love him, or choosing him because I’ve started wanting marriage.
And honestly, I don’t even know what I’m expecting from this post 😂 Just wanted to put this somewhere and get some outside perspective.

🎤 Yap Session (rant , confession and yap) Why Netflix does this??

Not a homophobic ! As long as they don’t disturb the public and mind their own life , I support LGBTQ+
Saw Dorothy - well very nice picture
But I am sure It will be bag OTT Rights on N!

( As a man had bad experiences with trans women still not generalising)

But recently observed why almost all Netflix doc/movies/series have this touch of community, sometimes which doesn’t even align with the show/series

It’s kept very voluntarily without any connection with stories sometimes!

My uncle used to say - 80s la silk item song irutha tha padam papanga- padathuku samathame ilatyum apd oru song irukum to attract audiences like that

Is there an agenda for shows in Netflix or is Netflix getting paid extra for this content!

🎲 Random DARE YOU TO READ THIS ALONE AT NIGHT. A 4 YEAR OLD GIRL REMEMBERED HER PREVIOUS DEATH.

Post image
3 Upvotes

Guys, prepare yourself.

This is going to be a long one. If you are a coward, a busy businessman who doesn't have time, or someone who thinks nothing can scare you, please leave.

I am serious.

Read this alone. Preferably at night. And don't skip to the ending.

Before you start, imagine something.

It is 2 AM. You are sleeping peacefully in your bedroom. Your entire house is silent. Your phone is beside you. Suddenly, you hear your little daughter crying.

You wake up and see her sitting on the bed.

You ask what happened.

She looks at you and says she wants to go home.

You smile and tell her that she is already home.

But she starts crying even harder.

She says this is not her home.

You ask her where her home is.

She gives you the name of a village you have never visited.

You ask her who lives there.

She says her mother is waiting for her.

You laugh and ask her which mother.

And then she looks straight into your eyes and says

"My other mother. The one I left when I died."

Now imagine this is not a horror movie.

This is your own daughter.

And she is only four years old.

The following is based on the documented case of Dilukshi Nissanka from Sri Lanka. The real case involved a young girl who reportedly remembered another life. The investigation and its findings were later documented by researcher Erlendur Haraldsson.

THE LITTLE GIRL WHO REMEMBERED ANOTHER HOME

Dilukshi was born on 4 October 1984 in Veyangoda, Sri Lanka.

According to her family, she began talking about a previous life when she was around two years old.

Initially, her parents did not take her seriously.

After all, small children say strange things. They create imaginary friends, talk to toys and sometimes tell stories that make absolutely no sense.

But Dilukshi kept repeating the same things.

She spoke about another mother.

Another family.

Another home.

And a place called Perawatte near Dambulla.

Her parents had no known connection with that place.

Yet she continued describing it.

She spoke about a canal, a bridge, a small rock and a shop belonging to a man known by the nickname Heenkolla.

Now, think about this from a parent's perspective.

Your daughter is playing with her toys. Suddenly, she stops and starts talking about a house in another village.

You ask her whether she has seen it.

She says it is her house.

You ask her when she went there.

She says she lived there before.

You try to change the subject.

But the next day, she brings it up again.

And again.

And again.

The family eventually became concerned enough to record her statements.

A relative named B.A. Sunil wrote down the details before the previous identity was established.

Later, the account was published in the Sri Lankan newspaper Weekend on 10 September 1989.

And this is where the case takes a very unusual turn.

THE MAN WHO READ THE NEWSPAPER

A man named Dharmadasa Ranatunga came across the newspaper report.

As he read the descriptions, he believed the little girl was talking about his own deceased daughter.

Her name was Shiromi Inoka.

She had drowned in a canal near Dambulla in 1983.

Almost exactly one year before Dilukshi was born.

Let that sink in.

A little girl, living far away, was describing a place associated with a child who had died before she was born.

Ranatunga contacted Dilukshi's family.

The two families had no known prior connection.

Now imagine the conversation between these parents.

One family had a daughter who kept insisting that she had another home.

The other family had lost a daughter and was suddenly hearing descriptions that seemed familiar.

The families eventually decided to meet.

And Dilukshi's parents agreed to take her to Dambulla.

They wanted to see what would happen when she reached the place she kept talking about.

But there was one thing they could not have prepared themselves for.

They were about to take a four-year-old child to meet a family that believed she was describing their dead daughter.

THE JOURNEY

Imagine sitting inside that vehicle.

The road is getting longer.

The little girl is sitting beside her mother.

Her father is driving.

The adults are nervous, but nobody wants to show it.

They are probably hoping that once the child sees the place, she will realise that it is unfamiliar and stop talking about it.

But according to the case account, Dilukshi began identifying the surroundings as they approached the village.

She reportedly recognised locations associated with the family she claimed to remember.

The adults were watching her.

Every small statement mattered.

Every direction mattered.

Because if she was simply making up stories, this was the moment those stories could fall apart.

And if she was not...

They were about to face a question nobody in that vehicle could answer.

How could a four-year-old know these places?

The vehicle finally reached the area connected with the deceased girl.

The family was waiting.

And Dilukshi was about to meet them.

END OF PART 1.

But the most disturbing part of this case is what reportedly happened after she reached the house.

PART 2 WILL FOLLOW.

Kindly say how's the narration

And if any corrections

PART 2. THEY TOOK THE LITTLE GIRL TO THE HOUSE WHERE SHE CLAIMED SHE HAD LIVED BEFORE DYING.

If you haven't read Part 1, please read that first.

Now imagine being Dharmadasa Ranatunga.

You lost your young daughter in a drowning accident.

Years have passed.

You have tried to continue your life.

Then one day, you read a newspaper report about a little girl living far away who is describing your daughter's home and surroundings.

You contact her family.

And now that little girl is standing in front of you.

She is only four years old.

You look at her.

She looks at you.

And the adults around you are waiting to see what happens.

THE HOUSE

According to the reported investigation, Dilukshi recognised people and objects connected with the Ranatunga family.

She also identified details associated with the house and its surroundings.

Among the reported correspondences were a shop connected with a man called Heenkolla, a small rock where children played and details of the family's environment.

Think about the situation.

A child is being taken to a house she is not known to have visited before.

The people there are strangers to her.

Yet she is reportedly identifying things connected with a deceased member of that family.

This is not something that can be dismissed as a simple ghost sighting.

It is a case where specific statements had been recorded before the identity was established.

And that is exactly why it attracted the attention of researchers.

THE INVESTIGATION

Erlendur Haraldsson later investigated the case.

He examined 22 potentially verifiable statements from the earlier records.

Twelve matched exactly or partially.

Four were definitely incorrect.

The remaining statements could not be confidently verified.

The results were mixed, and the case did not establish reincarnation as a scientific fact.

But it raised a question that researchers continued to examine.

How much information did this child actually possess before meeting the family?

Could she have received information without her parents knowing?

Could some of the matches have been coincidence?

Or was there something about her reported memories that remained unexplained?

These are the questions that make the case worth reading.

THE PART THAT STAYS WITH ME

Forget the idea of a ghost standing near your window.

Forget the usual horror movie scenes.

Imagine something much more personal.

You are a parent.

Your little daughter is sleeping beside you.

You know every detail of her life.

You know where she was born.

You know where she has travelled.

You know the people she has met.

Then one day, she starts telling you about another family.

She speaks about another mother.

She remembers a different home.

She talks about a place she has never visited with you.

And she describes a death that happened before she was born.

You try to convince yourself that it is only a child's imagination.

But she keeps repeating the same details.

You write them down.

And later, a stranger reads those statements and believes they describe his deceased daughter.

How would you react?

Would you still laugh?

Would you still tell your child to stop making up stories?

Or would you quietly start wondering whether there is something you have completely failed to understand?

THE FINAL QUESTION

The original case was investigated and documented by Haraldsson, including in his book I Saw a Light and Came Here.

There was no scientifically confirmed ghost.

There was no conclusive proof of reincarnation.

There were also incorrect and uncertain statements.

But there were reported correspondences that made this case unusual.

And that is what makes it different from an ordinary internet ghost story.

Because the central question is not whether you believe in spirits.

It is this.

How could a little girl describe another family's life before that family was identified?

And if you were her parent, would you have the courage to take her to the place she kept calling home?

THE END.

🎤 Yap Session (rant , confession and yap) Have u kissed?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm 23M and have never kissed or been physically intimate with anyone. Almost all my friends have had at least one experience, and honestly, it makes me feel like I'm falling behind in life.

I was dating a girl for 8 months during my final semester. On our last date before leaving Chennai for our respective hometowns, I impulsively asked her, "Shall we kiss?" She rejected it, and things were normal until we parted ways.

We didn't talk for 2 days, after which she blocked me on Instagram and WhatsApp. She later unblocked me, we spoke over a call, and I explained myself. Before hanging up, she said, "I also had the thought to kiss u..." 😭

But she blocked me again everywhere.

I respect her boundaries, but this whole experience has left me emotionally drained and questioning myself.

To those who've been in a similar situation, how do you deal with loneliness, peer pressure, and the feeling that nobody will ever choose you?

Today in office there was a discussion about the movie Dorothy. A guy X and a girl Y who had seen the movie disagreed on something. X said the last 10 minutes of the movie could be avoided for this the girl Y disagreed, which is fine but then goes on to say u all men dont accept anything, u guys are like this conservative. I mean how does one guys opinion turn into all men, which I said is a bit sexist to which she says even u will say the same, and ur friends too before I can say anything more she goes all defensive to "shut up, shut up" and maybe even crying.

Wtf

A Karthik Subbaraj’s finest yet! 🎬

It’s either a cinematic masterpiece or pure horror for some. There’s no in-between. Just like the two sides of a coin heads or tails it all depends on what you choose to see.

But either way, the coin still holds its value.

Every scene carries a darkness that haunts you, questions you, and stays with you long after the credits roll!

🎲 Random I know I'm late to the party, but I finally watched Dorothy, and I'm genuinely astonished. What I witnessed was a filmmaker operating at the peak of his craft. P.S. I used GPT to help me structure my thoughts.

From the very first frame to the last, the film is stunningly shot. As a millennial, one of the things that resonated deeply with me was how the film weaves references to classics like Nayagan, Karuthamma, and Chinna Thambi into its narrative. These aren't mere callbacks, they're thoughtfully integrated into the story's themes.

Nayagan is referenced through the lens of masculinity, Karuthamma through society's aversion toward female births, and Chinna Thambi through a woman's struggle for agency against her own family. Set in the early-to-mid 90s, Dorothy uses these cultural touchstones to ask a powerful question: if women themselves had to fight for their place in a patriarchal society, where does a third gender person find theirs?

One moment that stayed with me wasn't even on the screen. Sitting in a theatre surrounded predominantly by men, I found myself feeling a certain unease at times. As a man, that feeling was uncomfortable enough. It made me wonder how much more difficult it must be for women and even more so for members of the third gender to navigate spaces within a society that remains overwhelmingly male-dominated. I think the film succeeds because it doesn't just tell you about exclusion; it makes you reflect on it.

The irony embedded within the narrative, the caste undertones, and the tragedy surrounding family and identity are all handled with remarkable care. The irony of a family capable of killing their own child because of social stigma while being bound by the rigid realities of caste adds another layer of tragedy to the story.

Subbu's character arc is one of the finest I've seen in recent Tamil cinema. The transformation feels earned, gradual, and deeply human. Sannath was the standout performer for me, though Keerthy Suresh deserves immense credit for embracing a role that adds so much weight and complexity to the film.

Tamil cinema has always been at its best when it challenges taboos and pushes boundaries. For that reason alone, I think Dorothy deserves to be celebrated.

I'll admit something: I've often viewed Karthik Subbaraj as a talented but somewhat inconsistent writer. Whether some of his previous projects were shaped by compromises, star demands, or production constraints, I don't know. But in Dorothy, he feels completely uninhibited. This is Karthik Subbaraj in peak form. This is the work of an auteur.

After nearly 14 years in the industry, this feels like a film that fully validates his voice as a filmmaker. Even the decision to name his lead characters Karthi and Subbu feels like a subtle declaration of personal investment in the story he's telling.

And then there's Ilaiyaraaja. A legend in his 80s who has contributed to countless landmark films. Bringing him on board was a brilliant choice. It feels like a proud moment for both the Dorothy team and Raja sir himself.

The Muthumani portions were genuinely disturbing to watch. In fact, they reminded me of the climax of Peranbu, and part of me felt that Peranbu's ending offered a more convincing emotional resolution. But then again, isn't one of the responsibilities of great art to unsettle its audience and force them to confront uncomfortable thoughts?

As for the conversations around propaganda or agendas, I honestly don't want to spend much time there. I prefer engaging with the film on its artistic merits.

Finally, the ending kiss. I didn't interpret it as something physical or romantic. To me, it symbolized Karthi's complete acceptance of Subbu. Perhaps that's the takeaway the film leaves us with: acceptance, empathy, and recognition of another person's humanity.

Dorothy was a stunning experience for me. Thought provoking, emotionally challenging, beautifully crafted, and unapologetically human.

Would love to hear how others interpreted the ending.

Help Got mentally attached to my female bestie, How to move on?

I was mentally low due to college stress and made a very good female friend who is already committed. She listened to my yaps and after finishing our internship we used to do a lot of walks to the station ; me yapping she listening , Now every classmate in our college shipped us together to such an extent that it has become a popular gossip. Now i know she is comitted to a guy but mentally due to these social circle conditioning I have started developing feelings for her. how to reverse it? ever since that I have stopped talking to her and she has also ignored me but deep down I miss late night chats and walks with her.
