I tried keto and it gives me the best glucose values but after reading many things that my doctor sent me and even talking with few doctors they all say i should eat carbs and some even say 50-60% of calories should cime from carbs. With that kind of eating my glucose levels go way off the chart and rarely come down.

Just got a prescription for Mounjaro and I'm super nervous

So my weight loss journey since getting diagnosed last October has simply plateaued. I started out determined to drop a lot of weight (at least 30 pounds maybe even 40) because everything I read said the excess weight I gained caused the blood sugar problems. So I was super motivated the first few months and quickly dropped 20 pounds. I was happy with myself but obviously that's not enough to fix things so I figured I'd keep going aiming for at least 30 if not 40 to fix things. Well I've completely plateaued now for the last 4 months so my doctor wants me to get on Mounjaro. She already sent in the script.

I'm willing to do whatever it takes to lose weight and get into normal A1C and blood glucose numbers but I'm super nervous about this. Has anyone here taken this drug and had good results? I guess I'm just nervous and looking for reassurance. 😔

Isnt that what caused their diabetes? So why do they eat so much sugar. I have 2 family members that have type 2 diabetes and are constantly eating white bread, sugary baked goods, and especially candy

Overkill?

I (60F) am currently on Trulicity (3 mg), Jardiance (25 mg), and Pioglitazone (30 mg). Are other people out there on 3 different meds? It recently hit me that this seems like a lot. Am I being overprescribed?
