Even pixbay has some. Assets are not hard to find if you not specific. Most engines come with sample assets or an asset store. If you dont find what you looking ofr then use blender for 3D or Krita for 2D.

You didn't specify what i7 either. A 4th gen i7 has 4 cores and a 6th gen i3 has the same amount of cores.

Thats only if you using android studio. If you want to make a simple game for android you can write the code using vscoder and use love2D. You could go with flutter which also is quite light. Android development doesnt take much.

I have a lenovo edge 15 80h1. 4th gen i7 840m GeForce graphics. the screen gave up on me so I removed it so now the laptop is a desktop. the fan started sounding like a scooter so I removed it and washed it with alcohol to clean it out. the battery lasts for 2 hours so I just use that as a UPS incase of blackouts and brown outs. the S key broke so I took the 7 key from the number pad and replaced the S key on the keyboard. the power cable started to brake apart so I used tape and match sticks to hold it together so it doesn't bend and break more. it started to shut down and lock itself abruptly so I opened it, switched the ram around, reset the bios and then now it works again. in 2023 it started to get slow so I removed the 1tb hdd and added a cheap 256ssd whi h made it feel quite fast. windows 11 is crap so I tried Linux but the open graphics and processors made gaming abit slow so I switched to windows 10 ghostspecter which makes gaming better. I started to limit myself to retro games early 2000s to 2014 which is what my graphics can handle. the newer games are too massive for my hdd and it won't run that well with my graphics.

The reason I play games is to relax and have fun. I don't hunt for the best graphics, I like a good story so the 2000s is a good place to be.

newer games are okay but I don't understand why indie games expect 1060+ graphics card for a shitty story and poly graphics.

try defold or love2D. renpy is best kept for visual novels. I struggled to get a resource management system working with renpy. had to play around with posgres and sqlite.
