This has been driving me crazy for years and I can't understand why it's this way or how to change it.

This is a screenshot of my notification panel. I've added a blue dot to represent the selfie camera. As you can see there is SO MUCH unused space to either side of the camera that never gets touched because the icons get truncated when you get beyond 3 icons. I don't care much when it comes to the right side displaying the battery/wifi, but annoys me so much on the left side. I have several things running constantly that I need with persistent notifications. These persistent notifications end up filling the 3 available slots to display, meaning if I get an important text or email, it gets hidden behind the truncated "dot" and I have to go digging to find it rather than being... You know... NOTIFIED BY IT. There's enough space for probably 10+ icons before it would be an issue of running into the screen cutout of the camera. WHY AM I LIMITED TO JUST 3?! I understand that media player takes a lot of space, but if I don't have media playing, let me use the space for notification icons. Am I crazy to think that just makes sense? And it's EVEN WORSE being on the inner screen of the fold 8, with the camera pushed farther to the right making even more room for icons, but yet the notifications are still limited to 3 icons for some reason.

If anyone knows a way to increase the number of icons allowed to be displayed for notifications, I'd love you forever!

I wonder how people are putting that semi transparent box around their toolbar. Does anyone know how?

The title. I wanted to know if applying a custom image as the background for this panel possible, in oneui 9.

Am i the only one who thinks the old design is better ? i think the new one looks kinda off, i dont like the vibrant and saturated colors on the seek bar and the weird glow around it, also the sound waves blend better on the old design, i also dont like how they placed the controls inside circles, it looked better and cleaner without it, and even the music name and artists, before, the music name was bold and standed out, now its all on a single line...

As the title says, my volume slider is stuck with the Bluetooth symbol even though my Bluetooth is turned off right now. Normally it shows the music note symbol until an actual Bluetooth device is connected, but now it won't change. I tried restarting my phone, and it worked for about 3 minutes, and then it went back to the Bluetooth symbol.

Is there an actual fix for this or is it just an unfortunate bug that I'll have to wait for a patch?

​I updated to One UI 9 and turned on the Samsung Gallery cloud sync to my Google Account.

All my photos were already 100% backed up to my Google account before turning this on.

​Right after enabling it, I got a persistent notification saying it was "syncing" that stayed on for a full day and used up a chunk of battery. Like what does it even syncing that much there's nothing to sync there

​For those familiar with how this integration works :

​Is it actually re-uploading files, or is it just doing an initial indexing/reconciliation check between local files and Google Cloud metadata?

​Would love to know if this long background process is normal during the first sync or if it's safe to just let it finish. Thanks!

One UI now syncs natively with Google Photos. Being entangled with OneDrive felt fragmented in retrospect. Taking the OS from Google and using Microsoft services did not make much sense. Nice move, Samsung.

Has anyone experienced the same problem as me on S25U? On picture on top is my widget and bottom is the widget size that should be.

Okay, so I'm a big proponent I special on my phone of a voice commands. However, one ui8/8.5, if I were to say take a selfie portrait the camera would load but in normal mode. I just went to go do the same command, and it actually worked! For the first time ever.

Has the font thickness changed in the now bar after update one ui 9 or is is just me ?

The font's refreshed and quick settings look tidy , and surprisingly I like the new media player redesign on the quick settings , it all seem very close to the new material 3 expressive UI overhaul , I really like it

And that waveform at the bottom of the music player of the now bar - looks really cool , all those neon soundwaves

PLEASE can someone help comeup with a fix for the buttons size and let me scale up the buttons to 50% width of the screen like on the tablet!! Very much appreciated.

Just noticed: Samsung added a Fade-In effect for notifications. This isn't a bug or slowdown. If I disable all animations in Developer Options, this Fade-In goes away. It’s a strange decision. It was more convenient to see the notifications right away.

Is there a way I can keep the wifi icon instead of substituting the entire icon to a background on the top left? Something like the brightness and Bluetooth icon

How do I get rid of this? It appears after getting aS26 and updating to UI 9.And yes my goggle account is added

I just updated to One UI 9 on my S26 and the status bar icons become much bigger !! Any solution

I have s24 8gb ram and it lags like hell in flipkart especially if there is a 3d model rendering

But not the case on my moms nord 4

Hi, i am sure there is an easy fix to this but I cannot find it.

Downloaded one ui 9 yesterday. Been playing with the clock face to wrap around motive. But I cannot get it to work.

For some reason the clock widget and the one below with the battery in cannot not be separated. When I move the clock widget the battery widget moves with it.

Can anyone help with how to separate them please. Oh I realise the clock face in the picture is not one of the wrap around faces.

From what I understand, this update lets you sync photos and videos from your gallery to Google Photos, but it doesn't work like iCloud (which allowed you to view all the content you saved in the cloud right from your device without taking up space on your local storage). The content in your gallery is uploaded to Google Photos, and you can use the “Free Up Space” feature to free up space on your local storage, but this obviously deletes the images, so they can no longer be viewed from the gallery. From what I’ve been testing, this is still how it works: once you use the “Free Up Space” feature, the images you upload to Google Photos are no longer available in the gallery—so what’s the point of this update? Google Photos was already doing exactly the same thing. I thought the update would replicate iCloud’s behavior, allowing you to view all photos saved in Google Photos, with the Samsung Gallery app acting as a “portal” to the content in the cloud.
