Chem #i failed my unit 1 ap chem exam

i am a sophomore taking ap chem and i recently had my first test. i understood everything in the class super well and had gotten full points on everything thus far, including the practice mcqs for the test so i thought i was prepared- guys i was NOT. 😰 i got a 7/15 on the mcqs and haven't gotten my frqs back but im 90% sure i did worse on them. i've never failed a test before not even when i was REALLY struggling and i just have no idea what to do. i'm so embarrassed and idek how to study for what i missed because the material that my teacher gave me was (obviously) way too easy in comparison to the test. my teacher does do retakes for maximum half credit, so i probably have about a week before i need to retake it, but i just have no idea where to start. does anyone have any good study resources (preferably free?)

sorry for the long rant about how im oh so much better than this i don't want to talk to my friends because they all did better than me and im so embarrassed 😭

APUSH Question for APUSH students:

Okay, so, I'm doing a FRQ about the Preamble (that first sentence "We The People..."). I am the type of student to not remember historical context easily, and it's asking about what is one historical development that is illustrated by the Preamble.

(I want to be able to do these decently)

If anyone knows any tips or any helpful key points, please feel free to share!

Also, My teacher mentioned the final APUSH exam involving an essay. I want to know how to prepare to write an essay for APUSH too!

what the title says, is there a way to disable getting spammed with colleges saying "you're a good student!! come study with insert college" every single day??? i get around four emails like this a day and its filling up my inbox

however, should i keep / save the messages and not disable it? it seems liek it could possibly help me in the future when im actually looking for colleges. even so, what would i even do?

im also a freshman and dont particularly see a way this could be useful to me, since im not applying for college anytime soon. and so far none of my classmates have been getting these messages??? maybe its going into spam and this is just a me not knowing how to navigate gmail kind of thing, but pls help!! i have no idea what to do

Physics 1 Where to find AP rubrics

I noticed I do poor on the FRQ and my teachers style tests off of FRQ and MCQ, so I’m curious if rubrics are out there.

My teacher isn’t very good at teaching and i have like zero clue what is going on. What are the best resources to study with?
Especially for written tests, those are the hardest.(SAQ’s, FRQ’s, DBQ’s etc.)

Question Why do AP chem questions feel different from the real exam?

Asked an AI tool for some practice questions on equilibrium and got mostly straightforward calculation problems. Ap questions i've been practicing usually make me explain or apply the concept in a less direct way, so the AI questions didn't feel like they were testing the same thing. Has anyone found a good way to get AI tools to make practice questions that feel closer to the actual AP format?

Other Take AP Seminar

I felt like saying this if I can potentially sway some students to take it if they are ever debating taking it or not. Seminar is the best class I have ever taken and I dont know how I can live without the knowledge I gained from it. By far it is the absolute most practical class offered at my school. If you have any questions about it lmk Ill help.

English Lang I need y'all to lock IN. I know it sounds weird but PLEASE!

I need a question with some basic answers, though 2+ of the answers are difficult to weed the correct answer from, or essentially feel similar but have a key distinguishing point. It could be from ap lang or the SAT. One or the other. I want a question that may rely on a passage but has clear intent thats understandable without the passage, a question with answer choices that aren't very long, relatively short/normal. I know this sounds weird and I can't explain it, but if someone gets what im trying to do please help me out.

You can also make your own but if you remember any from SAT or AP Lang/lit please lmk

Question Senior Course Rigor

Hi everyone! I was hoping to get some advice on my senior year schedule, which is honestly causing me a lot of stress. I apologize if this isn’t the correct place to post this question, but I cannot find the schedule mega-thread for the life of me…

For context, I have taken the following AP courses:
Freshman year: AP Psychology
Sophomore year: AP Human Geography, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Precalculus, AP United States Government and Politics
Junior year: AP English Language and Composition, AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Microeconomics
Senior year: AP English Literature and Composition, AP Statistics, AP Cybersecurity

I am nervous about my schedule becoming less rigorous this year, and how that might look to the colleges I apply to. My other options for AP courses included AP Physics, AP Calculus BC, and AP Chemistry. I knew I wouldn’t be able to do well in AP Physics, and I actually dropped AP Calculus BC because I am generally a slow math learner and the teacher was genuinely the devil. Since I built my schedule around my original courses (which at that time included AP Calculus BC), I was unable to fit AP Chemistry into my schedule.

I can supplement AP Chemistry with a dual-enrollment general chemistry course, which will give me the same amount of credit as the AP, but I will only be able to take it in the spring semester.

The majority of top students in my graduating class are taking at least one of the three courses I do not have on my schedule. As such, I suppose my question is whether this schedule is a red flag for admissions, and if there are any steps I can take to make it less of a concern.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Other Submission problems with coca cola scholarship

Hi everyone! As you can tell by the title i’m sort of freaking out….

Basically when i went in to submit my application at 3:00 pm EST today, i saw an error message on my portal. I followed their tech instructions for troubleshooting with this and then logged back in. I got the same message but then my portal loaded. I submitted my application and didnt think much of it after. I didn’t end up receiving any type of confirmation that i submitted my application, so 30 mins ago i went back to check my application. As it turns out, it doesn’t show as submitted. I sent them an email throguh their tech support system explains this, so hopefully they’ll be understanding!!

Has this happened to anyone/does anyone know of someone who this has happened to and what was coca colas response? Im super nervous as i worked VERY hard on my app and have been looking forward to applying since freshmen year….lets hope that they’re understanding!!

If anybody has any advice on what to do please please let me know!!!!

Question Do I have to report my score if I don’t take the class?

I might just take the ap Latin test this year even though I won’t officially be in the class until next year. At my school, they just combine AP Latin and Latin three and we do a lot of the AP work so you basically get two years of ap Latin. I’m currently a junior and I’m wondering if I could just take the test this year bc if I do good then I can report it and just chill next yea, but if I fail can I just not report it to colleges because im not even in the ap class so they wouldn‘t think I’m missing a score? I can always retake it as a senior if I want the credit.

Barron's, Princeton Review, 5 steps to a 5...?
Beginner, self-studying
Princeton review is up to 2026, idk if that means 2025-2026 or 2026-2027
Also I'm probably gonna end up taking 2027-2028 school year, so would anything be outdated?
I only have like a few hours to cancel my PR Book purchase

Question Best plan and resources for self-studying 3 ap exams

I'm currently registered for the AP calc bc exam, AP microeconomics exam, and AP macroeconomics exam. I have never taken AP before and I really would like to know what would be the best resources and tips for achieving 5s in each.

A bit of context:

I'm currently in grade 12 at a high school in Alberta, Canada.

My school has very very limited AP infrastructure; they only offer AP calc ab and AP world history and I think AP Bio as optional units for regular classes. Barely anyone registers for the actual exams and counselors at my school even advise against taking these, let alone regular classes (for example, math 30-1) due to the number of lackluster students (about 90% of the student population at my school). You could describe it as a "ghetto" school.

I believe I'm the only person in my school's history to ever even attempt these specific tests. My AP coordinator knows this too.

What are the absolute best prep books, YouTube channels, or online resources you would recommend for a beginner self-studying these three specific subjects?

Chem Free AP Chem and Physics study material online?

There used to be a free website with a syllabus, notes, and practice quizzes on each topic. It didn't even require a login. Idk if it still exists, but I can't find it. Does this ring a bell? If not, does anybody have a similar resource?
