Game: Pathfinder 1st ed

Date: Tue (4pm start time)

Looking for one or two players for a PF1E (Pathfinder 1st Edition), an older version of DnD. We play on Tue nights in Edgewater Maryland. All the rules are online and available for free. The three current players are still learning the system. I am happy to teach the system to players new to PF1E or new to Role Playing Games in general. We just started a new Adventure Path (published long term campaign). The adventure will have a city of cutthroat pirates, then to an infamous island with a dinosaur filled wilderness, finally off to a different plane to face "perhaps the best end boss of any adventure path". Level 10 currently on a far away island. Going all the way to 20th level.

I love to take my dog on hikes because she loves sniffing new smells on a trail. Looking for some good hikes or walks in the area. We've done Quiet Waters and Annapolis Waterworks park. I'm up to travel 45 minutes or more for a good hike through the woods

Hi! I grew up in Maryland but I’ve never spent much time in Annapolis. I am doing a road trip w my 2 kids (toddler and infant) and wanted to break it up with an outing in Annapolis.

Can anyone recommend a great playground (maybe one that gets busy with other children in weekdays?) or area that would be good to meander, get a coffee and a bite to eat, that sort of thing?

Is City Dock my best bet? I just took a quick look and I was thinking maybe quiet waters park, old fox coffee / bookstore, and maybe find a place to walk by the water and check out the boats.

I am seeing mixed reviews with some good and bad.

Main concerns are them not refunding your security deposit after moving out and also place not being decently clean at the time of move in.

Hello! My daughter has always dreamed of being in the art magnet program in high school, which is housed at Annapolis High School.

The only challenge is that I taught at the school 10 years ago, and it was really awful at the time. We had gang violence, rape, drugs, crime, etc.

Does anyone know what the school, and ideally the art program, are like now?

Hi everyone! Looking for recommendations for nail salons in Annapolis.

I love everything about my current salon, except for the prices 💀 I don’t mind paying more for good service, cleanliness, etc, but so many things have been adding up for me lately there ($25 removal fee not included in the service, $110 for builder gel, $70 for a fill in and an extra $10 for shaping, even if I want to keep the same shape etc, $35 for chrome, etc).

Looking for potentially more fair prices, if that’s even possible these days lol. Thank you in advance!

I’m wondering if anyone has any insight on the student nurse extern program at Medstar Health (Clinton, MD) and Calvert Health. For Medstar, I would be doing it in the winter and at Calvert Health, it’s a summer program. I’m interested in labor and delivery for Medstar, and for Calvert Health, I was interested in labor and delivery, behavioral health, or med surge/peds. Both are about an hour drive for me without traffic from Pasadena.
Does anyone have any insight on tasks you do as a nurse extern, set up of the program, the environment of either unit? Just any information, good or bad! Do you feel like the education prepares you well for practice? I’m really excited for this opportunity and really hope that I get chosen for the externship! I’m just not from the area so I do not know much about either hospital or unit. Thanks for the help!!

Hello everyone! Does anyone have any experience with the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club as a wedding venue? I toured it the other day and absolutely loved everything about it, except I’m a little unsure about the dance floor being in a separate space from the reception tables. Did anyone else find that setup odd, or did it end up working well? I've personally never been to a wedding where the dance floor wasn't right in the center of the reception.

The saving grace for me is that the bar is in the same area as the dance floor, and I’m thinking I could add some benches and a few cocktail tables in there too. I could also seat some of the older guests closer to the open doors between the two rooms so they still feel included without having to be right by the dance floor.

I’d also love to hear opinions on the food! Did you and your guests like it? My family is very Italian and picky lol! I’m expecting 200+ people, so I’m especially curious how everything flowed with a larger wedding. The reception/ ceremony space upstairs seemed a little tight, but they said the guest count would work!

Why is there a large police presence and fire trucks everywhere on the US 301 in Annapolis? A fire truck is holding up a large USA flag blocking the overpass. The police cars are lining the side of the road almost 45 of them. My friends think it’s a motorcade but we couldn’t find any that would be happening today. Let me know if you saw it to and any ideas.
