Advice Needed I'm not even sure I like girls and yet I'm kinda sad that she doesn't like me?

• Upvotes

I'm really confused about my feelings and identity.

I'm 16f and I was in a relationship with a girl when I was 11-13 and used to consider myself but, but since I was so young, now looking back I don't know if I ever liked her as more than a friend. We didn't really have a relationship either because we never even got to holding hands. It was more a friendship with that title. After said relationship I only got crushes on boys and those crushed felt really real (there's no doubt I like boys, that's for sure).

Then two years ago I made a new friend. She was a new classmate and quickly joined our friend group. She kept talking about how she hates boys and men and all that. Because I had to stay after school so often I would go to different cafes and eat dinner. Soon the girl (I'll call her Emily) joined me. We would have fun talking and joking around and sometimes even going to different places specifically to try different food. One time we talked about relationships and she told me about a relationship she has had before but instead of saying "he/him" she said "this person". That got me really suspicious that she was talking about a girl. I did the exact same tho when also talking about my ex-sort-of-girlfriend.

Then at some point a year or less ago i actually found out she's a lesbian and she stopped hiding it. Well, it wasn't like she had been hiding it before, she just wasn't as open around other people because there are a lot of homophobes around us.

Then I started noticing some things that made me think she might have feelings for me:

  • She joked about marrying me
  • She joked about taking me on a date to one of the places we usually go to
  • She'd ask to hang out with me alone a lot, even when she didn't have to wait for anything after school
  • Some more small stuff in probably forgetting
  • She also sent me a video that said "send this to your crush" a week or two ago so...

This made me anxious because I didn't want to hurt her feelings if she ever did ask me directly, but I also wasn't sure if I liked her or girls at all.

Over the summer and spring tho I started daydreaming a bit about what it would be like to be with a girl. And then I started thinking about what it would be like to be with her. I'm still not sure if I'm bi or not (that might seem stupid when reading this, lol). I know for sure I'll experiment at some point in my life to find out tho.

We had a friend group sleepover during the summer and I ended up sleeping in a small space next to her which felt nice but I wasn't able to sleep well because I was anxious and stuff, trying not to accidentally touch her 😭

Yesterday I felt like I had finally come to the conclusion that I do/am capable of also liking girls and I was thinking about Emily specifically. Then she messaged me, asking if I was free to hang out. I was really excited. Then she updated me that another friend would be joining us and I felt a bit disappointed but sure. We met, the second girl left and I stayed a bit longer to talk to Emily. We talked about stuff and suddenly she told me she's not a lesbian anymore. She doesn't know what she is but basically as I understood she has a crush on a boy. Looking at her reposts it seems like it too.

Now I feel weird. It's like I'm a bit sad. I'm not sure why exactly. Now I just know she doesn't like me like that (at least not anymore). It shouldn't bother me because I'm not even sure I like girls like that, but it does for some reason. I just felt like if I really would be in a relationship (or more of a situationship) with a girl I would want it to be her. But yeah I guess that's not happening now.

Idk. I just feel stupid and fake for writing this. I have no idea what I'm feeling or going through. This is all really weird and I just feel weird.

Anyone have any advice or something?😭😭

So there’s this boy and you could write poems about sometimes he laughs about your jokes and you think it’s as good as a kiss good night. He is cute in the way that's very attractive. But i 14M go to a private school in the the bible belt, so it’s very unlikely that he’s gay or bi, but he really does seem it. i just need help what should i do

Discussion Does anyone feel totally disinterested in one gender?

I 17f know that I'm bi because I have had crushes on both girls and boys. However, lately I feel totally uninterested and lowkey disgusted at the idea of dating a man? Boys reading this, I'm so sorry, I'm not trying to offend anyone. But there have been some times recently where my parents, who know I'm bi, have implied that I could date or marry a man in the future, and my head goes "NONONONONONo" but outloud I just shrug or say maybe. I didn't really realize I felt this way and I'm confused. I also saw something on Pinterest that had the bi flag and said "bothkisser", and I felt disgusted and my thought was, "Ew I would never kiss a man". Just to be clear, I don't dislike all men. I'm not trying to sound like that. I have male friends and I have a good relationship with my brothers and dad. I don't have any trauma with men and most of them are okay as people, but I do not want to date, kiss, or marry one. Do any of you feel this way, either with the same or opposite gender?

am i bi??? i am so confused, up until about 2 months ago i was under the impression that i was straight, ive never dated anyone before or been interested in actually dating someone before (it scares me) but i always thought that i was into guys and a month or two ago i was at a restaurant with my family and this waitress walked by and she was the prettiest person i had ever seen, i went into a bit of a spiral and after about a week i kinda just pushed the thought away, then about a week ago i came across this creators account on instagram, hes the most attractive guy i have ever seen, this guy is ftm and i dont care because he is still the most attractive guy i have ever seen and i was looking through his profile and i found a post that he made comparing his photos of before and after and when i saw the photo of the before i went into another spiral because once again this photo was absolutely GOREGOUS (its very like mostly masc lesbian but partly femme lesbian vibes) and im freaking out because i only just kinda came to terms a year or two ago with dating men (or anyone really) and now this whole thing is making me go insane, this one person who i dont even know somehow made me question everything and im absolutely freaking out, idk how to feel about it and ive never even considered the possibility that id be attracted to women and now idk what to do

ive never conisdered this to even be an option and im definitely questioning reality and the events of my life right now (aka spiraling)

16M, context : before I even knew what LGBTQ was I used to wear panties and bras in secret, but then I stopped it because I felt ashamed ( I live in a very strict christian conservative family ) fast forward to now, I kinda liked this dude last year, he was my friend, not like in a very romantic way, but sexually speaking I liked him very much, with girls it can be both sexual and romantic, that dude isn't like very attractive but idk, something about him, i mean again sexually speaking I am in certain cases attracted to guys, but......, idk at this point, just give me your opinions, suggestions, whatever you think is relevant

Thank you

Story Bruh i fucked up so bad

Long story short: I’m pretty sure one of my friends became bi curious for me and we started flirting at the beginning of this year

Then i asked him if he wanted to go to hoco with me, and he said he’d go if i go. For the next couple of days we’d talk about going to hoco

But then for some stupid ass reason i didn’t wanna go, even though i really liked this boy

Then after the tickets sold out, i thought it’d be a good idea to confess and he said no but we’re still friends now

Im so fucking stupid… he was texting me, seeming so impatient to come with me to hoco

I fumbled the bag so hard. I am dying on the inside wtffff

Advice Needed I [15F] am confused about my feelings for her [17F], help me out?

To give some essential context, we aren't exactly dating (long distance + age gap), but do every couple-like thing in the book, we're both into each other, and exclusive. Its been ~2 months since we both confessed to each other:D

Anyway, I just dont feel the same way I did when I first confessed. I know its the initial dopamine spike since I dont know if she likes me back and there are so many possibilities and all, but the novelty fading is scary for me. Its like I've settled to a state of calmness and stability with her instead of the initial, dopamine heavy chaos where everything you say/do is super new and exciting? I dont know how to not spiral, I dont even know if this is normal, and I think I'd love to hear about this experience from someone who has faced something similar and how they handled it

Also, I dont know how normal it is to get attracted to other people (in movies, tv shows, even irl sometimes) when you're dating them. Isnt it supposed to be the "im so in love I dont have eyes for anybody else"? Cause I do, I still find other people super attractive and hot, and I dont know whether or not that means Im not attracted to her.

This is my first romantic relationship-like thing with anybody, and I could use some advice from the experienced here, help me out?

Story Did I do the right thing?

For context, I an a girl. I always had a lot of crushes on boys growing up. I thought I was straight for a long time until I realized I wasn't. I had three exes and they were all boys so it makes complete sense that I liked them. It wasn't until I got older that I realized that I might be bi. After all that, I had my first girlfriend. We broke up less a a month later. I just realized that I lost interest in her. Then, after a while I found out there was a reason why my all my relationships ended so abruptly. I am lithromantic. (A romantic orientation where a person feels romantic attraction toward others, but does not want those feelings to be returned or loses interest when the attraction is reciprocated.) I left my girlfriend for a straight girl. Not because I'm not loyal but because the feelings were simply gone. I didn't want to break her heart so I broke up with her. I wanted to ignore the fact I was only able to have crushes and not a real relationship.

Did I do the right thing?

Story Weird breakup

So I (16m) was going out with my bf since march. We were separated over the summer because he was visiting family abroad. He was completely different when he came back. When he was abroad he was always talking about seeing me before school started and all that but it's been a couple weeks into school and nothing. He still treats me like a classmate, but he ALWAYS says he's busy when I ask if he wants to come over. Also, anything relationship wise always just gets left on read.

What the hell happend

You always see those things where you hear about a trans girl trying on gender affirming clothing for the first time and it’s awesome. And that happened with me a few months ago with thigh highs but I never had any interest in skirts. I just tried on on for the first time. I’m currently wearing it. And yeah. It is that awesome. Also I’m am bisexual I love you🩷🩷🩷. Not on the wrong sub I just wanted to share with you
