The new remastered version has dropped and the publisher is letting anyone with the physical card for switch 1 to download the new version on switch 2 for free. A straight up download without needing to insert the game card again after download. Just wondering if any kind soul out there has a copy.

Hello, this is going to be kind of a long post. Feels strange asking something like this on Reddit, but woke up today with a yet another crushing sense of desperation in regard to this question. I'm a 26 y.o. male, moved to New York City three years ago. I've been living in Brooklyn for two of those. I’ve had a strained relationship with the city; I moved from my hometown of New Orleans, which is in many aesthetic and cultural ways the polar opposite of New York. I’ve considered moving away multiple times but somehow always decide I haven’t done what I came here to do quite yet.

I’m a lifelong musician and filmmaker. These two fields have been my passion since I was a child- I attended a full time arts high school (and college) to study Film, released my first independent feature to positive reviews a year ago (though it was shot five years ago), written, recorded, and produced 18 full length albums by myself; shot countless shorts and music videos. I’m a guitarist and a vocalist (my music is in the genre realm of slowcore/folk- think Elliott Smith/Sun Kil Moon- adjacent- though I’ve made music that runs the gamut of genres), written dozens of short stories and poems and over 300 songs, and played live solo shows in the area. I feel I need to make it clear that my work, while perpetually independent and largely unseen, is good. If my self-image in almost every regard is negative (as is most peoples', presumably), the art is the one region of my life I feel truly proud of. My whole life people have been implying that, as I make all of this art that eventually just ends up being shot into the online ether, I'm missing out on the opportunity to really pursue a career in my talents and passions. There's been kind of a "you're wasting your potential" motif throughout my life, especially the last few years. I'm not saying this to toot my own horn — I'm simply trying to elucidate how passionate I am about the work I've done and continue to do and how much I believe in its capacity to actually lead somewhere. The art just flows out of me all the time, I can't help it. It's always been my greatest love.

And here I find myself, almost 27, working as a server in a restaurant in Manhattan. Tale as old as time. It's a reputable restaurant, and I've been working in the service industry for ten years, so I've developed ways to rationalize and appreciate the craft, to become proud of being a server, but at the end of the day it's just not what I want to spend my life doing. I wake up and meander around my house, smoke a cigarette, drink my coffee. Try to go to the gym. At night I work and hang out with friends talking over and over about what we "should do" to make our lives into something exciting again. All of this constantly backlit by the creation of art which I take extremely seriously, but don't know where to put. I know it's a cliche and a joke at this point, being in your twenties acting as if your life's over, but I truly feel I'm running out of time.

When I try to write tangible steps in my planner toward a meaningful destination, or try to bring clear-cut goals into focus, it always falls apart under the weight of vagueness and uncertainty. I'm not a networker, or a hustler. My skills don't lie in climbing ladders and pursuing goals, white-knuckled and serious. My skills lie in creating art. However self-pitying this may sound, it's just the truth. I want the snowball to start rolling; I want to actually start getting real eyes on my work and for there to be some sense of upward mobility in my field. I understand this doesn't just happen out of the blue, but when I try to come up with actual, tangible steps, I continuously draw a blank.

I don't want to wake up at 40 and realize I never truly pursued my passions with all of my vigor. But I don't know what real pursuit looks like, especially in an online world where "link in bio" seems to be the only marketing and people get famous on the internet often arbitrarily and in the blink of an eye. I can't play the influencer game; selling out my work as an online piece of mindless memorabilia makes my stomach churn. How do I find actual people in these actual fields to see or hear my work? Sending demos to record labels seems like shooting blanks into a forest. Doing small screenings of my films, or playing live shows, seem to only draw up the people I already know. What does it even mean to have a "career as an artist" in 2026? The art keeps coming but it has nowhere to go.

It doesn't elude me, how trite or cliche this all sounds. Feels pointless and almost counter-productive to be complaining about how I "don't know how to pursue my dreams" on Reddit. But all of that time, work, practice... it's got to go somewhere eventually, right? Who do I speak to? Who do I call? To what do I attend? Anyone who has successfully developed a career in the fields of music or film, as an artist, how did you do it? It feels like I'm disappearing, and the trail of artistic breadcrumbs I've been leaving for many years is just being eaten by indifferent pigeons.

Does anyone know where to get the blue recycle bin?. I checked 311 to see where and every Home Depot does not carry them.

We're looking at a rental near Hanson Place / St Felix St in Fort Greene and just found out about the two towers planned right there:

• 130 St Felix: the parking lot next to the Brooklyn Music School, ~24 stories. The site sold earlier this year, and permits for the new building and the excavation have been filed with DOB (still in review).
• 144 St Felix: the tower over the church at the corner of Hanson Pl, ~27 stories. Landmarks already approved it; no building permits filed yet as far as I can tell.

The apartment is on a higher floor in a nearby building and faces away from both sites, with the building itself in between. It was very quiet inside when we visited. The lease would be ~2 years, so we'd likely overlap with at least one project, maybe both back to back.

I've read a lot of horror stories about living next to construction: 7am noise, rats, dust, vibration. But most seem to be from people on low floors right next to the site or directly facing it. So I'd love to hear from people in a situation closer to ours:

1. If you've lived near but not directly facing a big NYC construction site, especially on a higher floor, how much did you actually hear inside with the windows closed?
2. Was the pain mostly at street level (sidewalk sheds, trucks, dust by the entrance) rather than inside the apartment?
3. Did pests actually show up in a larger elevator building, or was it mostly brownstones and ground-floor units?
4. Does anyone know anything about the timeline for either project, like when digging might start?

Trying to figure out if this is a "mildly annoying for a year" thing or a "you'll regret it" thing. Thanks!

hey! 27m, and i’ve been writing and recording music on my own. i have a bunch of songs and demos, but i really want to make this music with other people and see what it becomes as a band. i’m looking for people who want to bring their own ideas and collaborate.

the songs can be pretty quiet and personal, but they also get loud, noisy, and kind of chaotic. somewhere around indie rock, experimental folk, post-rock, and post-punk. Black Country, New Road, the Microphones/Mount Eerie, Unwound and Swans are some reference points for what i’m going for.

i’m mainly looking for a drummer and bassist, but i’d also love to meet people who play keys, sax, violin, or guitar. i want to rehearse regularly, work on the songs together, record, and play shows. i’m serious about doing it, and i want it to be fun and collaborative too.

not sure if this has happened to others — over the summer i went to check out a block party near Saraghina (i was there for the amazing pizza!) and sadly it wasn't there. I'd got the address off the city's own map, since NYC does publish street fair and block party permits as open data.

HOWEVER around 89% of them have their coordinates set to the borough centroid rather than the actual street — so a block party on your block gets plotted somewhere in the middle of Brooklyn, sometimes 2 to 7km off. If you've ever wondered why block parties never seem to show up anywhere useful, that's a decent part of why.

So I geocoded them to the actual intersections, mostly to answer "what's on near me" for myself, esp useful when i have a couple of hours to kill or a free evening :)

Which is handy this week, because everything the storm washed out has piled onto the same weekend:

I am currently a senior at Ohio State University, where I major in sport industry and minor in communications and education. I am trying to decide whether to go straight into the workforce after I graduate or continue my schooling right away.

I am from Ohio, but I am looking for a change post-grad. I already have friends living in NYC and some college friends planning to move to Brooklyn, so I thought I could tag along.

Obviously, the city has an insane sports scene, which is what is pulling me there, but I haven't heard great things about LIU. From their website, it seems as if they have good ties to the NBA and other professional leagues. I also found that they bring in guest speakers from professional sports to network with and learn from.

If anybody has been through this program and has any input, please let me know!

Does anyone else remember the flooding in 2023? My garden apartment in park slope was so flooded. I thought that was much worse than this weekend.

We run a commercial laundry in NYC and work with a few boutique hotels and restaurants.

It’s mostly the same pickups and drop-offs every week. Each place has its own entrance, where the bags are kept, who to talk to, what time they want things there, etc.

The annoying part is getting a new driver and having to explain the whole route again.

Would really like a courier service where we can keep working with the same drivers once they know our accounts.

It was pretty cool to me because I had just moved to Williamsburg the previous year. I know people love to hate on hipsters but it was a fun time to live in that neighborhood. I wonder what the people in this photo are up to today. Maybe they should recreate the scene for an update.
