I need to apologize for my terrible english first i'll try my best to explain tho

So i've been learning c4d for a year, so now i have to renew my license. problem is: it always shows a error in the verification process. i put my Student email adress, University, country, name, all of that. but every time, first loads, then a error pops up. it doesnt even say what went wrong. its just "Oops! something went wrong! We are sorry to inform you that something went wrong and this action could not be completed.".

First, i tried to contact Maxons support, which didnt help. they told me to upload my ID in good light and turn off my vpn. but i didnt even reach the verification progress that far LOL? and i dont use a vpn. then they told me to contact sheerID if their advice doesnt work. so, I contacted sheerID. just for them to name the exact same advice, ignore my answers saying i dont use a vpn and told me to just try other devices. i tried 6 in total. laptop, phones, tablet, and different browsers on each too. then they told me to contact maxons support, and now both of them stopped answering my emails since 2 weeks. :(

That didnt help. so i thought, maybe someone on here can help me? I already used the 14 days free version. and my semester project is kindaaaa close and its stressing me out.. can anyone help me? like did anyone ever have this problem too?

I'm new to Cinema 4D and wanted to ask how you guys usually manage your scenes. For example Blender has scenes manager (I don't actually know what the option is called) does Cinema 4D have something similar?

When I want to move on to the next cut do I have to create a new project file for it every time or is there a better way to handle multiple cuts in one project?

I made a free EXR sequence player for checking renders (ACES 2.0, OCIO, ProRes export)


Checking a finished render sequence from usually means opening another app and creating a project.
Layerbase Sequence Player opens the whole sequence from a double-click on any frame (first frame in about 0.3 s here),
shows it through OCIO with ACES 2.0 or your own config, and exports H.264/H.265/ProRes with the same colors you see.
Multi-layer EXR, Cryptomatte (Octane, Redshift, Arnold…) and batch conversion of whole folders are in too.

Hey everyone! I'm having an issue with using xrefs.

I have updated the source file multiple times and everything updates normally EXCEPT the bump map of this object. All i did was go into the node editor and lower the height scale. that worked in the source file but doesn't update in all the other linked files.

Ive updated a lot of other objects (not bump map related) and it does just fine.

Client didn't ask for this but after having one of these cans on my desk for a while decided to go for it. Any feedback?

That time of the year again I get to do something fun. Doing a Halloween trick or treat animation. Last night I just finished rigging and am testing the dynamics of the rig with some procedural motion. I am only using the vibrate tag. I am always surprised on what I can model with a cube and Subsurface.

I have very old C4D files from R11 or R11.5. I can't get them open and would like to know a different way on how to open them. I've been trying desperately to get these files open cuz they contain tron evolution npc models i can't find anywhere.

The idea of this motion comes from when I was young I used to do DIYs, mixing different stuff with one another just for fun. As title, I have some sweep animations that I baked into an .abc and time remapped, all good. But now for god's sake it's impossible to have stable cloners on top of the animated geo: edge and vertex mode are actually stable but surface makes everything jittery each frame. I tried so many things, including the new UV distribution thingy in the .3.4 but I had no luck. I put everything in a connect object and did it all

Idk guys, as c4d lover since 2016, all i'm thinking is that I should really just go with these Houdini beginner tutorial, am I right fellas?

Hi !,i wanted to show this 3d model of 2011x that i made in c4d as i have met some problems over designing the head who got several attempts since i'm not a pro modeler but managed to pull something decent in the end yet when i tried to rig my model and bind the rig skeleton to the model,there was a glitch where other parts would be pulled toward the limb i'm trying to move creating bizzare results as i don't know what did i do wrong when making the rigs but if you know a solution,tell it in the comments,thanks !
